You could say that Paul is basically a different person in each route — or at least not quite the same one. Depending on the player’s choices, the characters evolve, and their backstories shift along with them.
For example, the Mila from the loyal route is literally repulsed by the idea of cheating, while the Mila from the NTR and NTS routes sees it as something possible — even preferable at times.
Same goes for Paul. In the loyal route, he channels his frustration into the gym, and at some point, he just gets tired of holding back. That’s why he looks more jacked there. In other routes, he’s a bit less ripped.
Also, yeah, there are some style inconsistencies here and there — something I should probably fix one day to unify the visuals. But if I vanish for a few months to redo old art, I’ll get crucified Especially if I end up changing something again right after and have to redo it again.
So for now... let’s just agree to live with a bit of the chaos.

Just to tie into this , one of the things I like the most about Mila AI is all the paths/routes are essentially clear of each other I've not noticed any crossovers between them which I actually really enjoy

The only way I could describe it is it reminds me of American horror story but sexy haha so largely the same cast used consistently but each path/route is it's own individual standalone story or "season"

Yeah, I totally get what you mean — I actually do reuse some sprites and CGs myself, but I still try to make alternate versions when I can.

That said, as a player, if I really like a game, I’ll go through every route. And nothing kills the mood faster than grinding your way through a supposedly “new” arc, only to get hit with the exact same visuals you’ve already seen. Especially if that grind took a while — it just makes me wonder: “Why did I even bother?” And when that happens, I don’t feel rewarded. I feel cheated.

So my approach is:
a) Split routes into stories that are as different as possible
b) Make each playthrough feel as unique as I realistically can

That’s also why I’m a bit conflicted about my current implementation of the NTS route. On a second playthrough (if you want to check out different routes), you’ll end up skipping a ton of scenes you’ve already seen. Yeah, some lines are different, and there are even some scene variations, but it’s not the kind of experience I want to give the player.

And sure, that means a hardcore fan of one specific kink might miss a ton of content — but honestly? That’s their problem, not mine I’m not looking to recycle art too often. What I do want is for each run to feel like a fresh experience, with new scenes, new visuals, and new emotional beats.
