So, I haven't tried the update yet, but, from what I'm reading here, I take it that what Icstor just did was releasing an/another incomplete update, missing several animations, presumably, in an attempt not to miss another self-imposed deadline, right?
Man, at this point, I don't even know if I want to crack any jokes*. The whole situation is so lame that it is starting to feel borderline cringey, like watching one of those ten or so movies Nicolas Cage has appeared in each year for the past decade. You know they are mostly cheaply produced crap, that his acting is terrible, and his physical appearance is progressively becoming that of decaying alien corpse, but, hell, the guy is struggling and, sometimes, he is even able to deliver something that reminds you of his glory days. It's still a somewhat grotesque spectacle that leaves you wondering why you devoted your time to it in the first place, but deep down you don't feel real animosity.

I mean the guy takes a year off and then his grand return is marred by missed deadlines and half assed implementations. If this was a real job he'd be canned instantly. On top of that people who have been following him well before Milfy City know full well how quickly his quality and work ethic plummets once he starts getting bored of a project, it's happened to every single game he's done and now it looks like it's happening here as well. Blindly hating on him is dumb, but he does deserve criticism and doing so doesn't mean you're being toxic or whatever. On top of that, whether you pay him money or not has no bearing on said criticism.

I'm taking a punt here, but reading that line about the patch,, I'd say you've got two patches running. Delete them both and see what happens when you run the game without them and then try it with one patch (only) again.

You seem to have borked the extraction of the archive. Always extract a new version in a fresh and new location than previous ones.
Do that and should be good to go.

I agree but it doesn't excuse what has been happening. I've seen it happen with a shit ton of smaller projects made by not so professional people, the planning phase of the project is way more important than they think it is.
That said people that just say Icstor is lying about having irl problems and developing a mental illness gotta chill. Shit happens so fast.

Noted and corrected. I use spell check and there was no red underline originally. My spelling is pretty bad and I rely on it. When I went to edit the post NOW it decides to underline it. I use Grammarly. Normally, it is pretty good at spelling and punctuation. It shows a red line under "way" because "by the way" should have a comma after it. What he is doing with his last statement. Is trying to have it both ways, as I see it. But, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. That's the point of threads like these. Sure, it can be said it is only to help people with the game. However, I don't see many complaints about praising. Unless an extra point is piggybacked along with it. Icstor's renders and animations are certainly better than the lions share of publishers here. As with anything else, with more people involved. You will see both an increase in positive and negative opinions. Basically, it is just a matter of statics.

This is a joke. I don't know how else to describe it.
He "forgot" to make several Caroline animations because, well, his job is so many-sided that this little detail slipped his mind. A long time had passed, he thought he had them all finished and started working on Celia's.
Then he realized and thought "shit, I forgot to make half of Caroline's animations but I can't make them now since I'm working on Celia's, the deadline is close and I don't want to break it, that's not my style."
Now I'm sure he's received lots of negative feedback from his patrons since last night and BOOOM, miraculously he's found the time to create all those animations in less than one day.
This is a really bad joke, he's mocking everyone.

But he did not phrase it that way. He was actually using their disbelief as another avenue of attacking Icstor's detractors. If he were to write "it would be no better than if I said...." I would agree with you. He was saying "I don't believe you supported him. Because you don't believe that he has a mental illness." Do you see the difference?
