Ren'Py - Completed - Milfy City [v1.0e] [ICSTOR]

Heard alot about this game and I guess it was popular awhile ago.

As of now, playing it for the first time recently, it looks very rough in terms of renders and animations. It's clear there's been little effort to improve or evolve in any technical capacity from the dev in the last few years.

The story does nothing to standout and it's quite boring and forgettable.

The UI is standard and nothing noteworthy here.

Review of Milfy City v1.0e ...

... as a game:
* Decent story. Typical game of a bunch of girls with ministories for each one.
* Good dialogs.
* Has a nice BG music. No sounds. No voices.
* Grindy, I recommend using a money cheat mod.
* No bugs, no crashes.
... regarding its erotic side:
* Character design is awesome. All girls are hot, milfs or not, and each one has her own personality.
* Scenes are very well directed. Vanilla scenes, kinky scenes, weekend specials...
* Animations are good. It would be awesome that cumming scenes would be animated.
* No voices, no sounds, just music.
* Odd scene gallery. You don't unlock scenes when u see them, you unlock them when you level up your relationship with that girl. Cannot exit the scene.
* Erased content. But no fully erased, u can see binoculars in the shop, u can see your hot neighbor, but u cannot do nothing lewd.

Great story, I mean it's still pron logic but better than most out there. Animations are solid, don't have to replay the game for different characters, honestly the only thing I hated was the minigames, got a mod for cheating some in.

I know this game had a troubled past but I don't care about that, let's just talk about the game itself.

It's a pretty old game, but the quality in renders and animations is still excellent, it didn't age badly at all. If you're just looking for good scenes with good characters to jerk off to, you'll not be disappointed for sure.

The story is the classic fuck every family member/teacher/hot girl without anything too deep and it's sometimes rushed, (almost) all the female characters deep inside them just want to fuck you from the beginning, you don't have to push them too much, maybe some people prefer a more "realistic" approach.

So if you like the "fuck every girl you meet without having to work too hard" kind of game this is probably one of the fathers of the genre and one of the best quality-wise and quantity-wise. The three family members especially are some of the best examples of hot mom/hot older sister/cute little sister I've ever seen.

5 stars are probably too much for a game that sadly don't have any true ending and it was rushed in its last stage, but it's a pretty good experience overall and if they'll ever decide to wrap everything up with a last update it could easily reach 5 stars.

First of all the game has pretty good animations, renders and character designs. But the the rest of the features are mediocre. The story is simple but there are many inconsistencies in it. Biggest issue troubeld me about the story and relations is the lack of connection between characters. I mean it is like each character living in a different place instead of same home or story. There is not much mechanics in game and cus of this the game leans more towards visual novel rather than sandbox. We only grind money for advancement, its balanced in early game but it turnes out unnecessaryly grindy in the end.. (1K for 1 sceane.. cmon bruh..)

What to say? I'm disapointed after all those years of waiting to have this crap.

I'm not going to judge the game based on the irregular updates we got for a few years. My opinion on that is we can't trust the developper to work on his game like he is supposed to. Don't support his patreon and other things like that if he is developping future games. Buy the finished product if you're interested at the time.

Here is my review of the game:

-The game is old and it shows. It was great when it first came out but now it can't compare to recent games. The game starts by telling us it has animations!!!!! Things rare before but now it's common place. Just cut that announcement from the game.
The design of the characters is also old. The girls are hot but the grainy skins bugs me.

-The game is a classic sandbox. Nothing new. Same problems to travel from place to place by dozeins of clics. Stupid mini games to earn little cash when you need thousands. Independant storylines so when something big happens in one storyline, and it should affect others, the other storylines don't mention it at all. Some condition to continue the different storylines would prevent that.

One storyline is useless. MC tries to hit on a MILF by behaving like a 12 years old, he gets turn down. The end. What's the point.

The developper changed Celia storyline but not all and it makes no sense now. MC gets caught stealing documents from her computer. She tells him to use it to get sex from her (because it's her kink). He does just that but at some point she forgets he is behind the blackmail and gets psycho about finding the person behind it. It makes no sense.

MC is a pure beta trying to convince people he is an alpha. He is also in a position of weakness before someone help him get the upper hand and dominate the girl in the storyline. I don't want to see him acting like a bitch with a girl before he can turn things around.
The storyline with the swimming is just ludicrus. You have to play an impossible to win mini game, get a scene where MC is humiliated, train at the gym, play the same mini game and win easily to get a scene where MC humiliate the girl. Rinse and repeat two times.

And finally, where is the ending? It's a completed game but no ending. Great.

To conclude, this game was once great but the long period of developping made it irrelavent. Games have evolved in something better and this game didn't. All the rare updates after 0.6 didn't bring anything to teh game, it even made it worse. It's rushed and incoherent.

Well... what can i say? ICSTOR did a fantastic job with this game. Good story, godly animation (but not very good sfx) and perfect characters.
One of the first Adult games i installed and still one of the best ever made.

Gameplay:
+ relationship progress
- life management aspect feels not needed, as well as money and buying items, since you can do that very fast
- No real quests and as far as I could see, no locking out of pathes, you can go for every girl's scene

Frequency of scenes:
- You need to play quite a bit before scenes start to happen

Dialogues:
+/- Story was okay. But very stretched. There was nothing really exciting. Everything was to be expected and linear.

--> All in one: I played RPGM games form icstor back then. And I actually liked them better, since you had to do stuff yourself. This game rather felt like a watch-someone's-life simulator. There were no challenges, and everything was linear. No real quests and the money aspect also didn't really fit into the game. I liked the hints, though, if you were stuck. The interactive map kind of fooled me into thinking the game was open-world like with decisions and consequences. But it was actually a VN, so, I will judge it as a VN. Would give 4 of 10.

Should I give it a try?
It is not the worst game. But to be honest, the RPGM icstor games feel actually better. But you can still try this out. Just, if you feel like it is enough, don't force yourself to continue.

Once a great game. One of the first game I came across. The femals was all good looking and the story was easy to follow.
Now it has slowely get worse.
The money issue makes it almost impossible to progress with all paths.

MC is stated as a college student,
but he looks like, speaks like, acts like
and thinks like 12 years old
girlish, borderline intellectual functioning boy.

Good renders (Except MC) but poor story.
And something unfinished with finished tag.

wanna give it 3/10 but with a 5-star scale,
i can only give one.

Better than expected of a game with such a terrible development cycle. But I do wonder how many flaws I have overlooked because I genuinely love the way all the women look.

The game is visibly incomplete though with entire story lines just ending. Characters like Delilah just end with no closure. Characters like Sidra would've been better off being removed from the game. Cindy exists for only one sequence. No true ending either (they never find out that you are essentially sleeping with the whole family).

The game had a lot of potential but it was squandered and I do wish the developer had tried to provide a stronger ending but the game had a decent length and a lot of scenes with great looking women so I cannot complain too much.

I personally would rate it 7/10.

First Impressions

• MC is portraited as a college student but in reality he's something closer to your typical shy anime high schooler under a very annoying looking render.
• There's a loooot of :
  • text in parenthesis for both the MC and their LI, leaving almost nothing to the imagination.
  • fade to black scenes to compensate for non-existing renders and animations, most taking unnecessary amounts of time.
  • mini-game padding (some are fine)
• The story plot has what resembles to be a main line, it's initially shallow and as with most of the interactions in the game with a steep curve in character progression,again, borderline cheap porno.

Overall, the game is not aiming for immersion, it's something closer to an rpgm but in renpy, good renders, animations are ok, nice camera angles and light use.

The only thing this project had going for it is how well known it was. It was a classic in this genre. That's about the only positive thing one could say about this game.

It's bad. Like, really bad. It's an unfinished buggy mess with a [Completed] tag slapped on to it.

There had been zero new content for ages, which makes this final "update" even worse as it's just mindblowing how terrible it turned out after so much time has passed.

I was never a big fan of Milfy City in the first place, but I did play it simply because of its name. Like drinking a coke just because it's a coke when in reality it tastes like piss.

Thank god this chapter is closed now. Hope there won't be another one, even though it looks like there will be....

It's one of the pioneer so it got the credit and the hype it deserve but...

Now, after a few years, it's not so tasty compared to other games that came after and have less renown.

The scenario feels like it has been written by a teenager, it's emty and oriented towards salty cum and feet (the developer probably tasted his own cum after eating 2 packs of crisp/chips)

The assets used are old and incoherent sometimes but it's because even after the final version that came up 1 or2 years later can't even really tell, nothing was added except some hidden cards and some repeatable scenes...

Nothing was remade and the patreons probably think that's the only porn game that exist to have been patient and paying money to void and fake working.

It's a basic sandbox renpy game, that hasn't evolve nor been remade.
So three stars for the nostalgia but not recommended for the veterans of this genre but welcomed for the newbies...

Oof, this one is tough to rate. The development was/is a complete mess. Now there's a new version and some really good content got removed which just plain sucks. But let's pretend for a moment that the terrible delays didn't happen and treat this as a freshly released, somewhat complete game.

The story has a solid premise... for about five minutes. Then it turns into a completely unrealistic clusterfuck. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally fine with unrealistic stuff, because we're talking about a porn game here. But the things that happen in Milfy City... Jesus Christ.

The Celia arc is beyond stupid. To be more precise, Celia is just very, very stupid. It takes her ages to figure out the whole thing while any sane person would have needed about 1 minute. Well, at least the porn related to her is kinda nice, especially towards the end.

It's interesting that the "landlady" character is the pushy one, but oh boy, does the relationship with her develop in a dumb way. The two "roommates" are even worse. The younger one basically gets tricked into having a romantic relationship with the MC who acts like a complete sociopath in many scenes. The older one's story is better, but not by much, especially with the i-patch installed it becomes kinda creepy. (The first scene with Caroline and Violet in the MC's bedroom is utterly crazy when you think about it.)

Then there are many side characters, their stories are rather short, but mostly enjoyable. The swimmer's arc is completely messed up from a gameplay perspective. But I do like the lesbian couple and the twins. Sadly, the neighbors got removed, because... nobody knows. Patreon rules? Greed? Whatever.

The actual game mechanics are infuriating. Why THE FUCK can I only fast forward time when I'm on the map screen? Why THE FUCK can't I jump to the map from everywhere? Why THE FUCK do I have to select items in the inventory before I click on an object - a simple "is item x in inventory?" check would also do the trick. Why THE FUCK are there so many boring mini games? I'll stop swearing now, but I've got more questions: Why isn't there any "fast travel" option? Especially going to bed at night and clicking through all the rooms is just tedious. Why is money so badly balanced? Why is the in-game walkthrough designed in a manner that I have to constantly click on the left/right buttons to see the hints? A simple pop-up window with ALL current hints would be so much better.

There are also still some bugs which is inexusable after such a long time. The graphics are a bit dated at this point, but the character models still look nice. There's not a lot of sound, but I do like the "thud" noise when Sara hits her head against something. It's funny.

I've already ranted about the story, but let's get into the actual writing. It's mostly quite "on the nose" and does move the plot forward. Still, there are many moments that feel like the dev has never interacted with a real person. Lots of events follow the "magic dick" trope, once girls see the MC's giant schlong, they turn into mindless sex objects, because that's what penises do to women.

Summing up, this game could have been a true classic had it been finished a few years ago. Now it's THE prime example for early access / croudfunding gone wrong. It doesn't deserve to be review bombed, because there is some quality there, but it's also far from being an excellent game. Three stars sound fair to me.

Back when I first found this game, it would've easily been a 4 stars. Of course, it would've never been a 5 star game, because its still plagued with all the issues this genre has for me. I wont go into detail about them, but I'll briefly summarise some of my general issues with these types of games that I can tolerate.

1. Same sexual progression with every character. (Foreplay, Handjob etc, Blowjob, Sex, Anal)
2. There are no real challenges. Most of the cast love the MC before anything begins, and so the story is just "Reach a point where they get the courage to act on their feelings", which doesn't really mix well with the characters description of being an unpopular nerd.
2a. The exception to the above are a couple characters that aren't in love with you, and oh my god the Main Character becomes stalkerish level creepy immediately.
3. Pointless Minigames and fake "choices".

Now then, for the specifics of this game and where I think it goes from "standard bad tropes" to "1 star".

1. There's one character where the objective is to beat her and win a bet. Its your standard button masher. The game tells you to try and beat her, or "Train" to get better. You physically cannot train until you lose, and you will always lose. It is hard coded that you must lose. So why the fuck am I doing a button masher?

Following that, the story is unclear for most of her route on whether its only canonically recognising your wins, or both wins or losses, because guesss what? Your losses are just nonstop repeatable until you win then progression occurs. It also makes NO SENSE that she lets you rematch her when you lost? This was never dealt with.

At the end of her content, they then make it clear that its all canon.

2. Same character from #1, but there is one scene where you get a dialogue option. Its to let OTHER characters do sexual stuff with the girl as part of a humiliation kink. To be specific, you aren't doing anything or making anyone doing anything, you simply voice it as an idea and walk off, with the sell being that if you say it, she ends up doing it.

But here's the catch. There are no scenes where you get to see it. They barely confirm it happened. Then it never happens again.

Some of you may be thinking, "I'm not into NTR" or whatever, and this isn't for you. And that's FINE. The issue is, why the hell is this dialogue option even an option, when it adds very little? Either commit a bit more to having it as an option for those that would like it, or don't bother. What the hell is this half hearted mention?

3. Creepy behaviour. You persistently approach women non stop, basically begging for sex, then guilt tripping them or annoying them until they do it.

4. Money.

Money as a mechanic is a staple for these games, and I personally am not a fan most of the time.

One game has the character have a single job they can do, once a day, for money. But not this game.

We have options.

A) You can use your computer and gamble in an annoying and tedious game of "Match the pairs", only with 3 or 4 of the same image to match.
B) You can use your computer to gamble in a game of rock paper scissors.
C) Beg for a small bit of pocket change from a parent.
D) Interesting job but it's part of a story and quickly gives no money.
E) Work as a cleaner for another character. What is it? Oh, its a mini game where you are shown an image of an office and have to find all the trash that "Doesn't belong." which includes, TISSUES, BOTTLES. Oh and, the tissues are white and the office is white. I have spent minutes looking for some obscure bit of tissue that's a slightly darker shade of white over the floor.
F) Work as a Pool Cleaner. Barely pays, only available for a short time as part of a quest.
G) Work for another parent. Guess what? ITS ANOTHER BLOODY MATCHING GAME.

And that's it.
You need money for a LOT of the quests in this game, to buy items or just give the money.
Money could've been made a key story component, where you do quests that imply a job etc.
Instead, its locked behind boring, tedious and sometimes annoying mini games that add nothing to the game.

They aren't fun. They just bloat play time and not in a good way.

All in all, this game went from a favourite of mine with amazing renders, to a heap of piling shit all in one update.

And when you combine other facets of how the development went, and the developers seeming thoughts on this whole thing, I cannot recommend this game to anyone with any degree of taste.

This game had so much potential.

Its renders were top tier when it was originally being developed. Now they are above average at best. The best looking adult games are now much better looking.

Like wise the story, it started off strong but the current version it just ends up bad, it does not feel completed at all despite being a 1.0 version. DLC should always be additions to the game not completing the main story. The patron modifications to change the Celia route also are just plain bad and make little sense logically.

Its also not original at all anymore, these land lady stories are a dime a dozen and been done better elsewhere even with the land lady being keen from the start.

Animations are the same as renders. Above average but not up there with the best.

I hope the next game improves to how this was at the start of development. This one just seems rushed to completion with no improvement in renders over its long development.

I had played in 2018 and was very pity that game has no end.. But now it's just brilliant event))
So, what I can say about? Narrative, atmosphere and characters in this story very common and unique at same time. But, that's the rules of the genre

Cool models, good renders. Horrible story and pacing.

From week one, you learn via their inner monologues that your mom, your little sister, her best friend and your best friend all sexually crave for you. There are no obstacles to overcome, no seducing needed, no clever tactics to put in place, no stake, no tension, no game.

The way sex scenes mostly happen is that you unlock the conditions to make other characters make a move towards you. Those escalate too quickly without any sense of immersion. To illustrate: with your little sister, it barely takes one scene for her to show you her nipple and another one to receive a blowjob.

One could say that the incest patch is non-official and characters interactions would make sense if they were friends living under the same roof. But the vanilla version still invokes "deep Freudian psychoanalytic" (which is about repressed incest desires and makes little sense if the therapist is talking about MC's "friends") and your character is often described to be a nerd loser and should therefore not be so many women's fantasy from the get go anyway.

This problem is less prevalent for some quests, like with the college's swimmer who insults you, giving you the need to beat her in order to win bets and unlock sex scenes. The execution is unfortunately laughable. The rigged mini-game makes you lose, which unlocks the gym. Once there, you can do one exercise, only once, but it's sufficient to beat her. Next time you talk to her, she annonces you that she trained since her last defeat. However, you cannot simply train on your side; the rigged mini-game immediately start to make you lose. Repeat this chain in order to simply beat her 3 times in total, and a messages displays informing you that it's the end of the content with this character (and this is v1.0). The pacing here will show its sense of rush, as the swimmer is virgin at the beginning but beating her two times gets you to facefuck her in public, and she of course gets nympho-style wet from it midway through.

Let's mention that some of the dialogues displayed some forced meme/pop-culture references, like the gym coach who orally tells you: "take the L + ratio".

When I realized I had more fun trying to get the well-hidden collectibles scattered across the world in freeroaming than farming characters love-points, I came to the conclusion that this game is a below mediocre soulless piece of entertainment.

This is a spit in the direction of the fans, it's a pity for those who were waiting for the final version of the game, I was among the fans and treated version 0.71b perfectly, a lot was not completed, but the game looked promising, the visual was pleasing, news about the development of the game periodically appeared on the ICISTOR website. And so for several years the developer has been pumping out money without releasing anything, please note for SEVERAL YEARS, and here is version 1.0, in which there are no completed lines, promised endings, part of the existing content has been removed, instead of all this we have a release on STEAM, several paywalls and a stump of the game. Please note that the author does not like criticism and believes that he is doing everything right, but it seems to me that it is disgusting when a person who stole so much money does not finish the product, but continues to deceive people without fulfilling promises, but releasing collabs with other games, several parallel projects, etc. It's not 1.0 it's a scam
