Ren'Py - Completed - Milfy City [v1.0e] [ICSTOR]

The game is pretty good, amazing art and scenes, interesting cast of characters, you get involved in the story. The main character is lacking in personality, and the game movement arround the map is decent at best. Aside the art this game is pretty mid.

Milfy City could be in the top 10-15 right now but lazyness makes this game ain't worth it, in its time of creation the render is nice but the story is somewhat passable, tho in my opinion this game is outdated in story, static image and animation. While characters on the other hand, only two character is only good in my eyes, Caroline and Linda. Other characters or LI's is forgettable and not worth much in my opinion. Game is pretty grindy too, less talk more clicks.

In today's age of AVN, the standard is getting pretty high, back then the render image of this game is good but now with lots of competition, the quality is only normal, still not bad. I'm disappointed that this game could be like the big top AVN today or the Classic of AVN's but the community says otherwise, lot of potential is wasted and the competition is getting tough with all those other talented developers and writers, they make this game look like "washed" or "overrated".

Updates and developer side -
ICSTOR could cement his legacy as one of the best dev in the world of AVN but all of us, the fans, the haters and the whole community says lot of badshit here, that says a lot. Hopeful that this game will be finish some time but the time elapsed and ICSTOR is already at the bottom pit of the heart of all hopefuls that want to finish this game.

Do I recommend this game? Nope, but if you're horny enough then why not, tho after finishing.. you'll be asking why you wasted your time here.

Very good project, I just finished the last update and I don't know why it was abandoned, it really left me wanting more. But it still manages to be exquisite in what it sets out to do. But the lack of updates makes me sad.

I'm not much of a story guy (that's my roommate's expertise.) Though I do appreciate some decent gameplay.
So this rating (like my others) will be mostly on fapability:

Visuals
The Visuals are really good for a game of that age, even better than probably most of the games you´ll see today. The Daz models are not that special but they´re rendered really well.

Gameplay
I first played this game years ago and revisited it some days ago with a walkthrough, even though I normally don´t play abandoned games.
The gameplay feels aged with it´s sandbox morning/afternoon/evening/night cycle. It´s not an issue with the walkthrough, but if you see it from a base game perspective, it could be very annoying to find the right time of day to trigger a scene.

Sex Scenes/Animations
Again, the animations for their time are very good, but they are nothing to brag about in 2022/2023. The Sex Scenes are not fully animated, but only short sequences are, that run in a loop.

Story
The Story is kinda boring and too fast-paced imo. One thing that bothers me is when you´re finished with one girl, she pretty much disappears from your life.

Content
There´s a good amount of content but you´ll see that there is still a lot of content missing, because the Dev didn´t bother to finish the game.
Sometimes you´ll see messages that certain content hasn´t been added yet, or you will see it during night visits, when you still can´t fuck the girls, even though you fucked them dozens of times in the story.

Developer
The Developer seems to have a history of abandoning his games.
But not only that, he will promise updates but never delivers on them for years. How that is not a reason for sites like Patreon to ban him is still a mystery. Maybe because after years of lying to his supporters and never delivering on his promises he still has thousands of supporters that are still putting money in his pockets and Patreons.

Conclusion:
If I look at the base game I´ll give it 3* max because there are things in it that feel dated. That being said it´s still a decent game but it being abandoned and the fraudulent behavior of the Developer drags it down to 2*.

Great Story, great Animations, some funny scenes - round about an excellent game to play. Linda and Caroline are the hottest wives ever. I hope there comes an update in the future. And more hot animated scenes with other characters like Lily ,Macy and Isla. At the End there could be a foursome with Linda, Caroline and Sara ;-)

I remember a review written by another person about one of ICSTOR's games and looking back on it now, I completely agree with that person.

ICSTOR makes some really good games, one of my favs being Milf's Control. This game has some great story and the artwork is nice. But the creator does what he always does. Once the MC's mother has been fucked, the production of the game slows down to an almost halt. Any communication is gone and an ending is rushed out.

This game is good and worth a play, it's just a real shame that it was abandoned the way it was and that we never got a real ending to the story.

If you go back and look at some of ICSTOR's old games, you'll see some really good early work and you'll see the tropes that I've mentioned above. Once the MC's mother has been fucked, you'll see the game seemingly close to it's end and have it feel somewhat rushed.

I recommend you try this, but don't put too much into the whole thing, as for many of us who waited months going onto years and so forth, this will ultimately break your heart and remain another great What If.

Characters were awesome especially sarah was so sweet and the classic ren'py style captured me.
I had hoped it wouldn't be abandoned but the harsh truth became reality
I'd still want the creator revive the project :/

Hats off to ICSTOR for creating one of the hottest moms on this site. Not a braindead slut, but a mature and self-confident successful woman, with a just a bit too much love for her only son

As for the rest of LIs the stories are too cliche with occational kinks thrown here and there. In 2022, competitors have so much more to offer, so no reason to bother with this one imo.

Since I’ve played it it has both become abandoned and slipped down the ratings significantly. Unforunate for the people who liked it, but I had no intentions of giving it another go.

This VN/Game when it first came out was all about the quality renders. Now there are a 100+ VN's that blow this VN away in renders and animations.
The story is nothing to write home about.
The gameplay is now dated.

If I were rating this VN purely on the merits of the VN that is finished, I would rate it as average. However this VN has been Abandoned and for me - every game that is Abandoned should get a 1 star rating.
What would you rate a meal at a restaurant if it came out only half cooked? What would you rate a movie or a novel if it just stopped somewhere in the middle?

Surprised that i never reviewed this when i first played it several years ago. Decided to replay this and it holds up surprisingly well.

While the visuals are on the dated side they all still look better than 75% of DAZ games out there and the posing and framing of the renders themselves is all again better than most DAZ games. The animations for as old as they are are also still better than what you see in probably 90% of DAZ games and they are all custom animations as well, not the canned ones you see over and over again in a lot of cut and paste DAZ VNs

The game is competently written and the characters are all decently engaging with the sister Caroline probably being the most well done and fleshed out. There isn't really a main narrative so it's more like a bunch of stories that weave in and out of one another. Some of them are done better than others and there are some humorous and engaging moments. Overall the story does enough to lend the porn in the game some weight that makes the scenes more arousing

The porn is great, the scenes are well written, well animated and well framed visually and there is a good amount of them. There isn't a terrible amount of variety as far as kinks are concerned, there's a good deal of male dom a bit of fem dom and then all your standard stuff.

I see lots of complaints about the game being grindy and it's kind of nonsense tbh, especially if you use the mod. The game is a sandbox and as a result you need to go places to unlock events and sometimes you need to wait a day or to, these things take maybe a minute or two. It's not really grindy at all compared to some sandboxes or say an RPGM game.

Finally the elephant in the room with this game, the dev. Frankly he deserves the scorn he's received if not maybe the level of vitriol and it all could have been avoided if he had been more transparent, but i'm reviewing the game not the dev and even if what is here is never finished, this game is still better than most of the DAZ games on this site.

The only saving grace of this game is its beautiful render and Caroline.

But overall, the game feels mediocre. The conflict about teacher's rejection was unrealistic and the way MC handle the frustration was ridiculous. The dialogues are fine and easy to read but they lacks emotion or impact which makes the game uninteresting.

Mini-games are also a pain in the ass and just drags the game.

Again, what I only liked in the game was Caroline because she was the only character that evokes this feeling of "affection".

I think that there are better games in this site that worth your time.

Beautiful models but poor image quality, outdated interface, unfunny mini-games, and animations could be better. the writing of the MC is something desperate and his physical appearance is not believable to attract all the women in the game. IT WAS A GREAT GAME IN ITS TIME ALTHOUGH TIME HAS MADE IT AG WRONG.

This is just your average game honestly. Abandoning it takes some points off and the game in general is just a grind and the writing is quite bad. It doesn't build up from the bottom up sometimes and the way relationship works or how it progress sometimes feel weak. Kind of feels like the developer just had a boner while developing the game which made them develop something lesser because they were not thinking properly in terms of story, character background, relationship progress.

It doesn't matter though since it has been abandoned. just skip this one.

This game has really nice graphics, good story and concept of the game. Too bad that this game is abandoned. The story lines are not finished and it is a pitty. Sometimes there are some things which are not favourable but otherwise really good game.

I went into Milfy City more or less blind and I knew little about the production history of this game, so I will merely talk about the game itself, not its infamous reputation or that of its dev.
Since I hate grinding I played this with a mod / walkthrough, I have zero patience for sandbox games or grinding money etc.

Milfy City, while famously unfinished, still offers some good amount of content. Much is of course very incomplete, but the routes for the mother, the older and younger sister and the teacher provide a reasonable amount of content. Just don't expect any proper resolution.

The route for the older sister Caroline is the most complete, she is, in my opinion, also the best love interest here, the mother comes second and I had very little interest in the younger sister Sara. The mother is your archetypical big breasted "milf", Caroline is a very curvy version of Lara Croft and Sara is the cute, petite and inexperienced virgin who looks a lot younger than 18, maybe 15? At least none of the family members are bitchy or have an attitude (for the most part).
Then there are several side characters and the MC's teacher Celia who is another main "love interest". I apply that term very loosely here, since the story revolving around Celia is your typical blackmail, molesting, sub/dom, revenge plot that is just all around terrible and nothing I really like. On her route the MC is a complete creep and asshole. And Celia is no better here.

However, all routes in Milfy City are entirely optional, you can focus on just one character or several.
And that is both a strength and weakness here... on the plus side you can freely pick and choose and ignore whomever you don't like. There is also zero drama here, since everyone is completely oblivious about what the MC is doing with other characters.
On the negative side all the various routes exist in isolation, which is less than ideal in your typical family setting. Here the MC can freely engage with his mother and both sisters without any of them knowing about the others. So there is no conflict or confrontation. There are almost zero interactions between the female family members.

If you expect a good story from a game Milfy City isn't what you want. This game has no real story, it's all about grinding through events to progress on the various character routes. Sure, there is some story on the various paths, but it's nothing really worth talking about. You play this game to progress the relationships and unlock scenes, nothing else.

Character models are mostly fine, the MC however looks quite young and I don't know why so many devs make the MC shorter than the mother or older sister. And yes, it's fantasy, but it's never believable that all these older women would lust after such a dorky looking teenager.

There are several things I really don't like.
There are forced kinks in this game, not often, but the Sara route is all about the patented virgin who doesn't want to have actual sex, because she feels not ready for that quite yet (until she eventually is, of course), so she wants anal sex instead, like any good virgin usually does.
And there is nothing you can do to avoid a ridiculous scene on the garage roof at night where the MC and Sara have anal sex. Any young girl dreams of a first time like this.
Other characters like Caroline have options for that, she will eventually tell the MC that she would be fine with anal sex, but you always get a choice and can easily avoid that.

Generally speaking Milfy City follows the overused progression route for intimacy. You know the drill... handjob... blowjob... grinding and rubbing... rinse and repeat several times yadda yadda... and then close to end of the implemented arcs there is actual sex for a few times.

So is Milfy City worth playing even though it's a semi grindy sandbox (just use the mod!) with unfinished arcs and no hope of ever getting a conclusion?

If you are into sandbox style games with pretty characters that are only about unlocking events with various love interests, then sure, Milfy City is ok. The animations are certainly good, there are also proper kissing animations, quite a few of them even, something you still don't get too often.

But forced kinks and a rather nasty (it's probably supposed to be funny) blackmail/molestation/abuse plot involving the teacher Celia may diminish your enjoyment.

And of course it's one of those games with sleep molestation. But you can mostly avoid that.

All in all Milfy City could have certainly be a good game if it had ever been completed and if certain things were not forced upon the player (unless you ignore certain routes completely). As things are it is just another game that overuses tropes seen a billion times elsewhere. Nothing remarkable or particularly memorable.

But you can have shallow fun here if you are ok with sandboxes and some free roam.

And at least the Caroline route offers a hint of closure, you even get the option for a harem or solo pregnancy path at the end of her arc... but that was never implemented. Caroline's romance scenes later in her arc are also pretty good and actually very wholesome. The scenes with the mother are also quite good, but here it's much more about lust and passion, with Caroline it seems to be more about actual love. To a certain degree with Sara as well, but she just looks too young and immature and also acts quite childish in a few scenes. Caroline is the best choice in my opinion, from an age and character perspective.

There are also unfinished side characters like twin sisters, lesbian neighbors etc. you can freely ignore that or see what content is available.

All in all Milfy City is still worth a spin, if you accept what it is. A game without a proper story that is all about grinding and unlocking scenes with more or less pretty looking characters. I cannot tell you how many photo sessons with Caroline I had to go through to progress her route. It becomes a bit tedious. And I wonder how this game would be without the walkthrough / cheat mod (you can give yourself all the money you need). Don't play this without the mod! In my opinion it's essential.

Milfy City in many ways is the perfect example of your standard VN. Unfinished and abandoned. Filled with overused tropes. Forcing kinks on players. With an MC whose behavior changes from dorky but sweet to downright nasty and creepy. This game feels like one big deja vu if you have played various other titles (which may or may not have copied ideas and elements from Milfy City).

This is it. The wellspring of the extremely online phenomenon of porno gaems receiving a ludicrously large amount of crowdfunding, and eventually imploding into a pathetic heap of precum drenched drama and bitterness for all involved. It aaaall started here.

But putting the veritable subculture of shitposting that has accrued around this game to one side.... it's kinda ok...? Like, as the progenitor of 3d land-games in a western context, it actually does sort of live up to its name.

The story has been redone too many times to even be funny anymore, but this is the original and imo still the gold standard. I'm not particularly into the "land" aspect of land-games but this game handles it better than anything else I've played. There's no shitty soap opera or ridiculous unnecessary mystery-thriller subplots about cartoon villain bad guys or moralising/rationalising bullshit (presumably intended to make connoisseurs of really fucked up sexual kinks feel better about themselves). The plot and characters are woven into the lewd content. It's not wholesome, uplifting or enlightening. It's porn I can fap to.

I would complain about the badly designed sandbox gameplay at this point but Lain's excellent WT mod fixes most of the issues in that department.

Anywhey, on to teh sex scenes. Considering when this game started development (the distant pre-covid golden age) they are superlative. The models for most of the main girls - especially the landlady - are very well sculpted. They look unique, proportions are just right, skin textures pop out, poses aren't too awkward etc. The animations rival contemporary 3d land-games in detail and physical fidelity. The sum of moving 3d objects trying to emulate sex is more than it's parts - breasts, tits, limbs and penises rubbing against and into each other actually look how they're supposed to. The backgrounds/environments could be better rendered. Lighting is pretty good throughout. UI is ok but needs a tutorial on how to use items etc (albeit the detailed hints in Lain's mod has that covered).

Nothing much else to say other than: it's the 3d craftsmanship and plot-complements-porno ethos of Milfy City that budding porno game devs should emulate. Rather than reinventing the same land-wheel forever and adding cringey "story-driven" embellishments along the way.

Of course I must point out that the game is not complete, and likely never will be to the satisfaction of anyone who was or is unhealthily invested in it. Still, for what it is, it's good. Play it, fap and move on with your life.
