She's hot... and that's it. So it's pretty weird to simp over her.
Here's a fictional character people simps alot on.
Lara Croft:
"An English archaeologist, treasure hunter and tomb raider. Born to an aristocratic family, Lara is generally disinterested in upper class society, finding it stifling and boring. She takes far more interest in delving into the secrets of the past and finding what is believed to not even exist."
And then there's the masterfully crafted character with a deep backstory.
Caroline:
She lives with her mother and 2 siblings. Likes clothes and is a tease.
To be fair, most of the girls I met in high school were about as complex as that though.
Also, there is more to her than that.
Caroline is also an aspiring entrepreneur hoping to run a clothing business, who wants to make it without her parents' help. She cares for her little brother and even protected him from bullies when he was little, taking the time to listen to his problems even when he's grownup. I think the part that sticks with me is that she cares to listen to the MC's problems, while trying to shoulder her own. This was also what I remembered off the top of my head.
I feel that you could also oversimplify Lara Croft into.
Bratty rich girl who wants to play adventurer. Get ancient treasure and kick ass.
