Unfortunately, a lot of the "best" games in this genre are the same as this one: money pits that are being extended out as long as possible to draw as much money as possible from your wallet. BAD has been around since 2020 and had most of its updates from 2020 to the start of 2022. It's last 2 updates have taken nearly a year to make and this one on the way is going to take even longer.

Summertime Saga is another "best game" offender. The game contains a parody of a former president and has gone so long without an actual update (4 years) that the game can just ignore that the guy it parodies was booted from that role at one point as that same guy is about to be resworn into the same office. That game is nearly 9 years old and it still isn't "done". DarkCookie has been working on the same tech update since 2021.

I could go on-and-on about this, but the point is that the "best" games on this website are often schemes where the developer have managed to find that lightning they can put it in a bottle, are absolutely terrified they cannot find it again, and then choose to try to make an entire career out of developing that one adult game. ICSTOR is probably one of the worst offenders, but there are plenty of "top-tier" games on this website that are just doing the same thing.

Yes it was because he got blocked by Patreon for unwanted Content and they were just willing to unblock him if he removes said content. The mass Reports on Patreon he got from angry f95zone Users who wanted a game Update was the reason it happened.

He did make the changes because he wanted to

He wanted to stay on Patreon so he needed to make the Changes. Otherwise he would have remained blocked.

So if patreon would have checked his work out, it would not have shown any kind of questionable content outside the cucking.. today it is full of questionable content.

After the mass Reports they checked his Game "Milfy City" that's still in Development and told the team what needs to be removed.

Yeah sadly it seems that way.
Usually it comes down to 2-3 things happening, often the ego of the person running the project just gets so overinflated that anyone helping them just ditches cause they dont want to work with a megalomaniac.
They simply get lazy cause of the success and start milking patreon for as long as possible.
Or some cases they just go nuts and start producing crap noone asked or paid for.

What most creators in this field seem to forget is that THEY ARE PAID TO CREATE CONTENT.
Patreon might be a very indirect method of paying but people arent subscribing to those patreons to finance their life and hobbies for them they are PAYING them to develop those games and are doing so in a VERY generous manner.
I mean some people end up paying hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the course of months or even years of patreon support, and for what? so the dev can fuck around?

I canceled all my patreon subscriptions because of all the bad experiences i had with games just never being finished or devs completely deviating the content from what was advertisement.

I am more than willing to pay a fair sum for content i'd even pay full AAA prices like 60$ for an indie adult game if its good.
I am not willing to pay upwards of 100 dollars over the course of years to finance some idiots lifestyle.

It's been a year since the last update.

Three DLCs were promised that should have already been released.

What do we have?

Nothing.

I have followed the project this year and it was already seen in March that the DLCs began to fail and in September the last statement was worthless.

I'm surprised that there are still people who are surprised and angry over this to be honest.

I suppose it is not too big of a surprise. Newcomers keep falling prey to it. What you see here has been going on since 2019. The empty promises zero content approach. The only time (and reason) he worked after 2019 when Patreon decided to block his page (and thus removed his ability to access Patreon payments). Then he worked like crazy to fix that.

After he did, everything went back to "normal". Empty promises, no work and thus no content. He has zero intention to work really. His sole interest lies in maintaining free money income. He long since learnt/understood that his supporters simply won't stop giving him money. That he doesn't have to work at all. He isn't taking a risk by not working.

Yeah, his support declines over time but VERY SLOWLY. He is fine with that. He squeezes out some little update at that point and thousands flock back to him immediately and will support him again for years before numbers start to reach a critical level. A level he deems low enough.

As i've said. This goes on from 2019. Don't expect any kind of DLC for another year. Even if it comes, the one after that will take yet another year or two. Oh, and it's highly likely it won't come in one big part. More likely that it will be small. Underwhelming. A 'part 1' type of deal and then he'll take several more months to add 'part 2' to said update.

He really reeeally hates working anymore. Not just on this project, by the looks of it. So don't expect commitment or anything. Bare minimum effort is the name of the game and the bare minimum effort required is, unfortunately, a little update after several years.

People for whatever reason support him out of religious reasons really. They support him no matter what. They don't support the project or the content release. They support HIM. His person. They support Icstor's lifestyle, whatever that may be.

They simply don't stop supporting = He has absolutely zero reason to produce content.
At some point he understood said action isn't required of him and so he stopped bothering with development. There was no need.

Even though he has lost almost 60% of his patrons since 1.0 got released, it's being offset by sales on Steam which have been decent. This business in its current form is a hustle, and ICSTOR is a master hustler. While I don't doubt the DLC will come out eventually, I wonder how big it's going to be. 3000 renders (1000 per LI), plus several dozen animations should be the bare minimum, but since it's our esteemed Dev I guess we'll have to wait and see. It's not like he's going to face any consequences if he under delivers, right?

Not really. You just kinda run out of content and then you can do night visits to some/all the girls and booty calls to the three women you live with.
