To abide by Patreon's rules devs using the platform have to avoid incest content, this means characters intended to be family members become things like landlady or roommate. The patch merely changes the thinly veiled relationships back to being incestuous. It doesn't provide any additional content other than some changes to the text establishing more taboo relationships.

I think someone mentioned that the old patch still works. The aunt has been teased for quite some time and made an appearance in the MC's kitchen before her content dropped so an older patch should cover all current incestuous relationships.

Yup. It also make more sense than 2 roommates being worried that people won't approve of their relationship. The mask hiding incest content is usually quite flimsy and really just there to dodge the wrath of Patreon. The games tend to make more sense with these patches applied because the incestuous relationships are usually the intended relationships.
