It will work with the current version of the game and likely future versions as well.
Sorry if it's already been posted somewhere, but have they said what is actually going to be included in the next release (e.g. 0.4 was mostly caroline and the other two)?

No. There are no exact eta times anymore, 'cuz such exact dates cannot be kept. It comes when its done, there is a progression bar on the patreon page that gives a general idea how much of the planned content is ready but that doesn't get you closer to the ETA. Just a rough idea, but thats it.
