i'd be careful about making a game where MC sucks at first or gets his ass beat constantly at the start and then he turns to a bad ass. "Assassins Haven" tried that route and ppl mostly abandoned it cause they were all like. "dudes supposed to be a badass down the line but all we see is him getting his ass handed to him,raped(depending on how you see it), and just see him a weakling for the most part.Nooooo! Come back! I'm sure we can make a properly filthy degenerate out of you, given enough time!

Not everyone's into the weird shit.I will say, a lot of the weird shit probably wouldn't bother as many people as they think, in context, but I'm not gonna start dropping spoiler-bombs for stuff that's several updates down the road. Lol Such is my curse! Maybe one day, if this little game gains some sort of popularity, there'll be enough hype to win you back.
if this is supposed to be a game for subs then that would make sense. but for ppl who want to see him dom they'd struggle keeping interest in the game long enough for him to get passed being abused part.
atm it looks like he's a bad ass so theres that. but i guess other questions will be like. will his power grow? are there other tags that can be added where it seems like its more from a MC POV rather then someone else's?
right now it seems like he can affect memories/perception. but can he make other who are asleep stay asleep for longer(sleep sex,). can he leave other in a trance or affect how they feel about him. (mind control.) can he use his powers to make a girl on a date sleep with him in front of her BF? (Netori.)
like i said. atm i like the game enough to keep trying. but basically what kind of player do you want as you audience?
if you're trying to tell a story and who it attracts it attracts is the way your going. then its not a bad way to go but if "Primal instinct" is anything to go by no matter how good the story is if theres not enough of what ppl want ehn its not gonna do good. (finance wise.) fan wise it might do good though.
but having an audience who you're aiming for tends to do best. Harem for Harem players. NTR for NTR players and so on.
My audience is whoever likes narrative driven sci-fi/cyberpunk stories about ruthless corporations and strange, bizarre evils clashing with people just trying to survive in the world created by them. The sex isn’t the main part of the game. The sex exists because this is an adult game, taking place in a world with consequences, where sex is often used as a tool for power, control, or escape.
Sometimes, you’ll be in a position where you’re being sexually dominated. But you’ll typically be able to avoid it— though there may at times be consequences for that. Just like a lot of non-sexual choices in the game. Same for being sexually dominant. There will be times you’ll be able to use sex as a tool to manipulate others, to get what you want. But that might have consequences, too. If you don’t go that route, it may come back on you, just the same.
Who Aiden becomes, where he ends up— that’s up to you. At the start, he’s a powerful tool in somebody else’s arsenal. He’s not a pushover, but he’s not the biggest dick in the locker room, literally or otherwise. What your agenda ends up being, how you get there (or not)… we’ll see.
There will be at least two, possibly three sex scenes in the second release. They’ll each serve to further communicate some of the game’s themes. It’ll be interesting to see what people think of them.

Sex will always be an important theme, a large element-- but my games will always be much more about bonding with characters and forging your story as a player than they'll ever be about putting part A into part B. I do think a lot of people who might be hesitant on tags alone are going to be pleasantly surprised if they stick it out (heh) though! But then, I'm pretty biased.

Yeah, that was an oversight on my part. You didn’t do anything wrong. I just did a bit of a dumb. Somebody brought that up earlier in the thread, so that’ll definitely be changed in the next release.

I'm really looking forward to play this game, I enjoy the Sci fi stuff, and so far the ones I've played especially City of a Broken Dreamer and project Atmosphere has been great..I can't wait to see what this has to offerHey, everybody. Dev here! Man, I honestly thought I was going to get ripped to shreds my first time out, so the positive reception thus far has been nice!
I don’t mind that the game’s here, I know how the scene works. I’m just grateful for the eyes! Lord knows I would never have found 90% of the stuff I love in this space if it weren’t for this site. Lol all I ask is that if you like it, consider donating or some shit, either on Patreon or on Itch, so I can justify this hobby to my wife.
I know the initial demo is really brief, and a little rough around the edges, but I really wanted to put myself out there before I could make excuses not to for the hundredth time. The first “full” release is maybe 70 percent written. So there should be more content pretty quickly, though I am in the middle of a move, so it might take a little longer than I would like. No promises, but I’m optimistic!
I really appreciate the feedback so far. This is my first time, so it’s all really helpful. I’ll definitely opt for a smaller file format in the future, I completely forgot about that stuff. I also saw a request for a name input option. I thought about it initially, rejected it for some bullshit ephemeral artsy reason in my head that I really can’t justify now that I’ve been called on it, so it’s very likely that will change in the second release. No worries.
Lastly, somebody asked about planned sexual content. That should’ve been listed somewhere, but I didn’t do it, because I‘m new at this, and also one of the dumbest smart people I have personally ever met.

Said it's porn and shit but that just goes to show the difference in levels of maturity I guess.. I’m trying to work in the public sector, so by telling no one IRL anything about this project, even her, I am trying to keep my “secret identity” airgapped. Don’t want people knowing I’m making ”porn games”. There’s definitely a stigma attached. Really, I like AVNs because of the inherent lack of limitations in subject matter. The sex is just incidental to that limitless nature, when you’re focusing on human interaction.
so if what you’re looking for is more mature, character focused storytelling, I think you’re gonna be really happy with this game. I don’t know if it measures up to what you’re hoping for, but I can say with certainty that that’s the kind of thing I’m attempting to reach. Give the demo a shot! It’s really short, but you should get a good sense of what I’m shooting for, tonally and such. I think you’ll like it! (of course, I’m rather biased, but still. )

Had this in my backlog for quite a while. I see some promise. I too am not too fond of most of the planned tags, but hey the story so far is pretty neat and the renders are also eye candy. I'm down to see how it goes. Good luck with your game dev.
