Well, Russia is mostly in the eastern hemisphere... kind of debatable to call it Western.

Didn't notice it was Russian, which is definitely not western. To correct myself, it is rare to see a non East-Asian/Japanese game that is worth a damn. I mean personally, I roll my eyes whenever I see one of those games titled "[UNITY] Futa step teacher shota domination simulator V0.1 [ONHOLD]" with those uncanny 3D models and completely uninspired slop that passes for gameplay or porn.

My guess is that the devs pirated a Japanese version of RPG Maker instead of international/English version so it expects Japanese locale. Presence of Cyrillic characters is secondary; after all, Japanese games contain Romanji sometimes.

It opens a passage in the caves. If anything, the caves become available after completing the micro-quest on day 5 in the atrium.
