Guys, I heard that in version 0.8 there will be a major redesign of the beginning of the whole game. I haven't played MIST yet and I have a simple question:does it make sense to wait for version 0.8 or my information about the game redesign is wrong and I can start playing right now?

There was a redesing of some erlier parts of the game between 0,7,1 and 0,7,2 but I havent heard from the different progress updates posted here that there will be an other rework of the begining for 0,8,0. I think you may be confusing the two.

Ihavent personaly replayed that part of the game since I played 0,7,1 bu I plan to redo it in 0,8. If it is your first time playing have a go at it. it is a great game with multiple great gameplay elements.

Sorry, but this information is from another site. I don't think you will be interested in reading it (it doesn't have an English version). And I honestly don't know what the user was guided by when he wrote this. Well, thanks for the reply, I'll start downloading the game.

I love your books, Prof. Ellmann. Huge fan of Joyce, as you can tell from my nickname. I didn't know you were still alive! Not to sound too conspiratorial, but there is a fairly high probability that a famous author lurks or posts here. After all, Thomas Pynchon is known to have posted anonymously on forums, and Mark Fisher and Dennis Cooper had blogs that focused on sex, and probably came across this site or the games within once in their lifetime.

One of the first English novels ever written was Samuel Richardson's Pamela. The book was considered to be a covert pornographic book in disguise, and sorry to say, MIST is far more readable and enjoyable than reading Pamela. Let's face it, MIST beats a lot of classic literature, which never portrayed sex scenes very well.

if the site you are refering to is in French it is actualy my everyday language so I could check it out if you are still unsure, but it is the first time I hear that Robin's start might have been redone a secound time. there was no such information circulating on F95.

There could be some kind of binding clause that prevents that somewhere. But Maybe. We could always free advertise his patreon for him.

I am finally done with the update. I will release Mist v0.8 later today. This update is quite long and has a bunch of new content, so I'll immediately get into the patch notes, which are deceivingly short this time.

New Content:

1. The story continues showing you the first part of the final arc of the game.

2. Several new events when spending time with the girls in the evening.

3. 6 new scenes. More than I ever made in one update before.

4. New animations.

5. And finally Noreia is in the game.

Content changes:

1. I remade the fishing to include a small but simple minigame.

2. I rewrote parts of Lily's background to fit more fluently into the game. This change is noticeable, but doesn't require a restart or anything. She is still the exact same character.

3. I remade Robin's sprites (the talking pictures behind the textbox) with much better lighting than before.

4. I also made small small changes to the soundchannels which you shouldn't even notice.

Fixes:

1. I implemented a small fix that should make it easier to use older savefiles.

2. I fixed a bunch bugs but can't remember anything specific right now.

3. And made some corrections to spelling mistakes that were pointed out to me by you guys.

Notes:

MIST v0.8 mainly focuses on new content so I barely changed anything of what came before, except for bugfixes and spellchecking. Instead you'll find the continuation to the story and the beginning of the final arc of the game.

I hope you'll have fun with it.
