Fun game, but has some bugs. If you lose to the satyr the scene never plays, it crashes. If you lose to a forest nymph and go to fight her again, she has her power level from the prior fight for one turn. This makes it all but impossible to win on the rematch.

Sounds more like a rework than a whole abandon, still same game, just different. Hell even the name is similar.

I dunno why you put the post in spoilers - basically game is being reworked because patreon doesn't like rape and all that jazz, they will be. I mean technically yes 'molest hunter' is stopping but I think its more about the name and the developer cutting ties with the old game so patreon won't have issue with the rework and such.

Anyway we'll see were it goes from here.

Marked as Abandoned.

Reason:

New game is coming soon. Molest Hunter is abondoned.
Hi there.
As you can see, my Patreon page has been suspended. The problem was inappropriate content that cannot be published on patreon (rape). Therefore, the only way to save my page is to develop a new game. Molest Hunter was a cool game, but further development on Patreon is impossible. Don't panic!
So I decided to start developing a new game called Lost Hunter.
Lost Hunter is adult rpg game with card-battles system, set in a fantasy genre. You will have to collect resources, create new clothes, talk to characters, explore locations and seduce with monsters.
I have a huge number of developments in the game, such as a quest system, a clothes change system, a combat system, a research system, a system for combining items, a store system, a communication system with npc, skill system and etc...
Differences from Molest Hunter:
  • Without forbidden content
  • New story with old characters
  • New animations (100+ animations as I promised)
  • New interaction with monsters
Everything else remains as it was before. The tiers rewards will not change.
Therefore, the new game will be released very soon!

Glad to see that it is abondoned.
Developer was milking his patreons. He intended to add male mc only after a certain no of patreon subscriptions. & Code required to access in game church. Ridiculous

Patreon is not the only way to do things!
Unless people start support devs on other platforms, it is.
Currently, it's all talk, no real action.
And yes, to someone's surprise, devs are also humans, they need food to eat, and food costs money. If you want to eat and make proper games, Patreon is the only way.

Alternatively, you can choose to not eat and dev games until you die of starvation.
Or find work and work on the game as a side project, but never succeed as updates will be sparse and no one support devs who take time to create.
Or just don't care much about the game and do things whenever you have free time (back to 2010 newground low q sex game era).

And no. SS doesn't work. No one is using it, and don't even try to mention, big successful devs. The chances you'll get the same recognition using SS is slim to none.
Steam is another viable option though, but you need a functioning way beyond v0.1++ game to sell.

And before you open your mouth calling devs greedy, remember, adult dev game making is way below minimum wage for 90% of devs. It's all about passion for most, but still, human has to eat because eating food is nice sometimes. Better than starving and getting evicted. And developing a game living under a bridge without a roof is pretty hard I believe.

Wrong. It is used. Maybe not as much as other people might like, but it is used. Otherwise I would not have mentioned it, And even SS is not your only option. Your support might not be good enough, but that mostly depends on your quality of work and your success in advertising it. And find a way to get support that does not limit your options.

Devs should NOT be greedy, if their quality of work does not support it. And even if that quality is sufficient, I would be put off by a greedy dev. On the other hand I would be willing to spend money (buy a game) if its quality and theme would be interesting for me. Usually I buy my games, if I intend to spend much time on them.
But according to my information steam does not allow stuff on their platform that does not conform to their rules. Softporn (Anime or Hentai) style can be found there, but everything seems to be a bit tame.

Summary: If I would be a Dev, and I would be limited by one site, I would certainly dig out and use other options. Those options where I am not limited. Stopping one game and starting another one, makes you loose fans. You won't get all fans to follow you, if you drop your crap that fast. Remember: fans need to trust a dev!

But you're not a dev and don't know a sh*t. Just another "all devs are greedy because they don't want to make stuff for free".
If alternatives would've been a viable option, people would use them. They're not. Why would anyone sacrifice 80-90% of their paycheck just to please someone like you who probably will never support/buy their work.
Do you think devs wouldn't leave a platform that censors them if users would be willing to use something like SS? It's not the devs fault that people refuse to use alternatives even though they demand it. All talk, no action as I mentioned before.
It's either adapt or fail.
Money is important. When you're an adult, you have responsibilities like paying taxes, buying food for yourself, fixing your car, supporting your family and old parents, etc.
It's easy to spout your morals when you know nothing or the decisions that would ruin you don't affect you personally.

And find a way to get support that does not limit your options.
Unless you have some magical wand that fulfills the dreams, it's not that easy.
Because it's not that easy, devs are forced to play by Patreon rules and follow the consumers who use mainly Patreon only. Because of that, Patreon is the only viable source of income for mid-range NSFW dev with a budget of 500$ per month who's expected to bring top-notch writing/art/and no less than 1 hour of content every month.
It's already a miracle that you can earn something from NSFW game-making. Extinguishing that miracle would be foolish. Adapt or fail.
And find a way to get support that does not limit your options.
Just to highlight the naiveness of this comment. It's not that easy in reality.
If you think I'm wrong, reread my first sentence of this comment.

First, reread MY comment. I'm willing to pay for things I like and in which I have an interest. Just because MANY devs (not all) lack either seriousness or capabilities, I might have the right to withhold some judgement. (And you don't know sh*t about me, thus you don't know how much I know about programming. Don't assume, especially if you attack other people for assuming.)
I don't hack or crack games. I pay and play. But here I need to find an interest that is more than testing and currently I have not found it.

Second, where did I say that it was easy. I just said "there are other options." And those options stay mediocre or are not recommended, because nobody (or at least not a sufficient number) is using it. Kickstarter or Indiegogo are ways that are out of sight, but not unusable. Different and maybe difficult but usable. If I would be a dev, I would check ALL available options AND the options for me.
I have paid for some Indiegogo campaigns and for the things I'm doing, it works. I have no idea, if it would work for game development or which limits are invoked there. I don't run a campaign there, I only support.

And for the answer to your first sentence: neither do you (at least as far as I know). I have not requested your life history, nor have I offered mine.
