Game keeps crashing for me. Originally my Anti virus was blocking and deleting a file until I found which one it was targeting and put it into the allow list but still crashes even on a fresh install.
The debug if anyone knows what's happening:
[0912/021219.448:ERROR:registration_protocol_win.cc(56)] CreateFile: The system cannot find the file specified. (0x2)

I'm still trying to figure out how to add the file to the allow list. How did u do it?

Depends on the anti virus, web-root (the anti virus that I'm not renewing as I have something else now) was my main culprit and I went to the block/allow files section of the gear icon of pc security and looked at the top most thing it blocked recently (a temp file) and clicked allowed. This allowed the game to launch but crashes after a minute or 2.

Hana story seems sus, like we dont care about guys shes banged in the past. Definitly don't want to watch a sex tape in the future content about it either. If the MC isn't the one getting the action, no one cares.

I'm using McAfee. And I'm still trying to figure it out since it seems I have to send the file to be checked

dev need to fix his game it is literally unplayable if you have anti virus as it registers a a trojan. i already green lit the file manually so it should ignore it but when i boot it up it still gets shutdown anyway

there is a lot to unpack here...

1. literally any program cannot run if your antivirus thinks it is a trojan. that is literally the whole point of an antivirus.

2. if your antivirus is giving you false positives, replace it with a better one. I recommend eset.

3. if the antivirus is giving false positives there is nothing for the dev to fix, the problem is with the antivirus.

4. if it is not a false positive but a real virus, then it is probably not from the dev itself, but from the pirates who leaked the game.

5. you can usually distinguish between real virus and false positive using virustotal.

6. this is an RPGM game. The thing being detected as a virus is the base engine that has nothing to do with the dev of the game. the game dev is only making assets for the engine to run. The dev does not even have the source code of the RPGM engine as it is a closed engine.
open engines would be renpy and godot, which provide the dev with source code allowing him to make any change he wants to the engine.

Yea, a way to be very unhelpful there buddy. First off the reason this is being flagged is because its a single file program that unpacks files into the temp folder. Very few programs do something like this that isn't a virus as most programs unpack into Program files or other designated location during installation.
Second saying "get better anti-virus" is effectively the most idiotic thing I heard today as while there are bad anti-virus you are also discounting the persons situation/preferences and for all you know the anti-virus they have is good.
Third the dev or someone who is familiar with the issue can help troubleshoot this and post guide/fix for it. (also why did the dev do it like this I'm tempted to decompile this file to see if it runs better that way)
Forth this isn't a piracy thing I'm having the same issue and downloaded from the devs iche.io so something is being blocked or deleted and my two anti-virus isn't telling me anything and I don't want to spend hours troubleshooting for a porn game (might be windows who knows and I'm switching right now as I'm not satisfied with the old one for personal reasons).
Fifth see above and not everyone is a power user.
and finally I run lots of RPGMaker game and while few give me problems this is the first one that actively getting multiple red flag triggers to multiple anti-virus suits. (I counted 3 so far that is treating this game as a virus)

Next time you want to be the UM ACTUALLY guy try to be helpful and understanding. Hell helping troubleshoot the problem that doesn't equate to "get better anti-virus" hell I dare you make the guide to fix this issue. Keep in mind after unblocking the stuff the game crashes in a couple of minutes.

that is silly. what kind of shit fake antivirus program you are using that it thinks unpacking files to a temp folder means a virus? uninstall that trash. it is literally worse than windows defender (which is free and comes with windows).

here we see a classic dunning kruger effect.
Someone who knows nothing, and thinks it makes him an expert.
Talks down to an actual expert.
Gets angry at being given the solution to the problem instead of actually implementing it.

"uninstall your trash tier antivirus program" is a perfectly legitimate advice, in fact it is literally the only possible solution to having a trash tier antivirus program

Ok you pissed me off so I fixed the issue turns out if one of these temp files gets deleted or quarantined for any reason then restored the file doesn't recognize it anymore despite using it. So first you need to unblock it. Then you need to wipe all temporary files via disk cleanup (and I mean all temps and cache stuff). Then delete the game (you can keep the save). After that "reinstall" the game and it now should work fine will need some else to verify this as well.

Also "delete that shit" bitch I was using eset so ok it's deleted. And I will criticize what ever compression program the dev used as it fall under bad programming habits as if you need a critical file for operations you put that shit into a new roaming folder not temporary as that shit is subject to regular deletion. As seen with this issue if one gets deleted and restored the whole program concaves on itself as it's trying to replace a file in use. The only reason you want to do something like this if you intend the program to live on a USB and constantly switch computers and you don't want to leave a permanent presence. But most people won't do that.

ok 1 IT WORKED! THANK YOU!

And 2 XD XD im dying. the fact he tried to pull dunning Kruger on you. while being the one who was actually wrong sent me rolling XD

i knew it was a dev problem cuz i have DOZENS of rpg maker games of every engine type. and none of them trigger anti virus like this. some might need to be approved sure. but NONE out right BREAK like this one does. so clearly NOT an engine or an anti virus problem. i don't need to be a dev to use BASIC process of elimination. so thanks again to you!
