Here supply even gets limited, and as you can see by that it even gets bought, what we would not be doing for something like cheats

Yes personally im not a fan of this behaviour and it will backfire heavily, first off all cheat to win is trying to be monetized often in F2P titles (which i never was a fan of either starting even to exist) never ever in HISTORY it was done for SINGLEPLAYER.

I am obviously asking for something that would not be abusive in your opinion because I thought if you don't like the methods used you might know how to do it better... Im surely not, the reasons these Patrons pay for that i dunno maybe time reasons (they have enough money to spend for nonsense) overall it's up to them but we see often that they also try to get into the decision processes of the Artist like for example when the timeframe for the next Demo would be, because of their Greed (the others wait 3 weeks we pay you) then i find that extremely shitty behaviour of these people.
And you know what i would say to those Patrons "Fuck OFF it's my Decision not yours BYE"

You say "money to spend for nonsense" but the point is if some give us 100 bucks I hope they do it to support the development of a game they like and not to get the "nonsense". The "nonsense" is just a bonus and a way to say thanks for the generous support. If you just wanna play our game the free version is more then enough, you get a 90% of the content for free, and if you want the last 10% the 5, 10 bucks Tiers are there for that. All the other tiers are just bonus tiers for people that want to give more
Anyway, this conversation is getting old, let's just stop talking about it, guess we will just have to deal with having different opinions

Thanks for your help, I wish there were more people like you, I am against methods similar to EA (pay for more content) like the DLC, I will still wait until everything is free, I think a good game does not need this kind of thing to receive donations, when a game is good you will always receive your donations, no matter how much, you will always have it

I mean, you have the right to your opinion. You don't need to spend 10 posts about your opinion.
Some want to pay for codes, some don't. Team Monolith offer various tiers and you can support the game or not.

At any rate, deal with it, just don't pressure others to agree with you.

I am a patron of the game. I also host the character sharing site.
And I am playing v0.13 while you're ranting left and right, and only playing 0.11 public.

You all make my brain hurt, as for the question on suggestions, an alternative to "cheats" being a reward, you should think of creating Patreon only content instead, many developers do this, things like god mode, fast running, and etc. aren't needed and can be manipulated regardless even if it's locked behind cheat codes or not all through modding, another suggestion would be creating Patreon only versions where modding can be dropped in and used in-game at any time

As I was saying in my original post about the tiers asking too much for little reward, your team has a good heart when it comes to developing, but lacks imagination on rewards, and the community you've created are of mixed opinions when it comes to what should or shouldn't be considered a reward, I know I myself won't be supporting the project because of these reasons but with saying that I do hope that your team reflects on at least some of these suggestions

1) You really think posting a patreon-only version will not hurt the development? I'm sorry but that is borderline unintelligent. Those who can get it here without paying will not be inclined to pay, at least for that version. It's that simple, and it's not up for discussion. Piracy DOES hurt development. And two of the consequences of piracy are 1) DRM and 2) in-game purchases.

Lots of people on this board ask for Patreon only versions. They might pay if one isn't uploaded. Figure that one out, why don't you.

Please don't call "we" as in "us" pirates. Speak for yourselves. Lots of guys here actually don't pirate stuff and I, for one, am a patron of this project (even though I actually can't afford it atm), simply because it is a great idea AND it has survived more than just a few updates, unlike lots of 3D games.

Simply put... if you don't really care if the game will have funding / be successful, please, go ahead and post Patreon versions here.

If you want a game that has the potential to be something great, act like it. Support the developers. And don't share their work without their permission. It's highly illegal even though "it's just on the internet" and compensation are usually in the thousands (€). I am saying this because I know someone who lost a case AND I know someone who won one (in that case, which was simply sharing of a few model photos, the court ruled compensation of €10000).

Also, it is no excuse that "so many Patreon games are being leaked here"... What do you think a judge would say to such a remark?





I strongly disagree. The curve would have climbed much faster without a released pirated version, just as you can see in April to July. A game like this would have grown faster. You're talking about exponential growth yourself and the graph displays anything BUT exponential growth.



... and loss of funds means risk of having to end development of the game increases. Unless, of course, you have a way to pay for ordered/commissioned assets/artwork design/sound tech with insufficient funds..? You know damn well that Patreon creators base their investments on their fundings.

pirating has been going on forever now and guess what those companies that get pirated for literally years make money.. so Iguess pirates do pay for things dont they... its the same here besides with all the bad porn games that are behind pay wall. only if you are a uploader. downloaders are protected under file sharing laws(loopholes USA) while uploaders are the ones that get punished regardless. just like with drugs law enforcement care more about the dealer than the user, its same for this they only care for the uploaders. technically this site could easy be shut down with the amount of illegally uploaded games. again this is a pirate website that also allows file sharing of free games.

Pirates buy good games, and will never buy bad games. gamers got fed up with crap quality games which is why so many pirate. I've bought my fairshare of games after I pirated them to see if I would get my money worth out of it, many do this.
