its 5 years after first game, most of them move on to another stage of life aka become an adult
it probably not much, just different dialogues if you choose for them to have a relationship with first game MC

if she's in the harem = Rachel? the famous model/fashionista and one of first game MC's mate

I don't know if it's just me but at the moment the first game had more to it. Can we do something more interesting than talking in college, talking in work or picking fucking flowers and talking. The MC at the moment is like a therapist to the girls talking about they're problems and trying to solve them. When are we fighting Nox's Ex or is the MMC the UFC and we have months of training before the fight? Look at the story update in this one go to class meet Nox and Fuyu then talk about Fuyu's sex toys. Look at Maya lets take her out of the house and do something anything. We have demon powers now can we do something more exciting with them than just using them to see Lyra or being able to touch Fuyu. In terms of writing and story i am starting to feel like this is a step backwards from the first one. It's 0.8 and we are doing the same things we were doing in 0.1 most of the sex scenes are worse than those in monster college most scenes will only feature a very limited bad angles, it's like the dev wanted to save time and with the Nox shower scene it's even worse you just get screen shaking it has no animation at all this again is a step back to what we got in the first game.

Well, in my opinion, the first game was more interesting and more coherent. Perhaps my rating is influenced by the small updates that don't really advance the story. It's easier to skip a few updates to get more content while playing.

In the first game, MC was literally the Alpha, but here he is half demon, half vampire, and while having a lot of power, he often feels like a Beta.

And when Lenny is shape shifting into the old LI and characters are talking about the old MC and all the things he did i start thinking about the first game, and that's when i start comparing them and finding the story and MC are lacking. Like you said he is a vampire with demon powers and what is he doing delivering food or washing plates and cups at the monster food dinner and going to the forest to pick flowers. Old MC first day at college shows strength by fighting Alex and not taking any shit from him then fights a shark king, ripping zombies apart to protect Emily and Maxie and then when Alex is locked up showing he's alpha pack leader to the other werewolfs who then follow him because they see he is a real Alpha wolf.

I remember the first game took the creator about a year to complete, I might not remember exactly, but the first game had a tight plot and a rich storyline. I love Nina, I want to fuck Dragomira. So far, I think the second game's plot is a bit dragging. Honestly, if you pay close attention, you'll notice that the early parts of the second game heavily reference the first. So far, all I remember about the second game is Fuyu and Maya, but even they didn't inspire as much anticipation as Dragomira. I think the author wanted too much in the second book, but I will still continue to follow it, just because of Dragomira.

Do choices matter at all in this game? I installed the Universal Ren'Py Mod to check and it doesn't seem that way. Still uncertain, though- don't wanna accidentally close or block paths. I'm playing the VN version of the game.

I have also looked into the files and i saw the same thing. The only things are the random love points but these i am also not sure. They are like how much a LI loves you why i am not sure about them is because of this. For some reason you will just loss these in a scene with Bae that you have no options or choices the Dev just takes them away because that's how he wrote and programmed it and in the VN mode these may not be active as well but i think they are in Sandbox it's a bit messy to be honest with you this is also the same for powers only three of them effect the game right now and that's to help the MC with LI. So at the moment i would say no paths are locked, and all the LI are viable at the moment.
