I only get that error as soon as I get the option blocks, like look at her and the others. if I click rollback on the error it takes me back a frame, and if I click ignore, it just tells me "nothing to see here", it has happened for all interactions with her, if I managed to click through the main options fast enough, I could barely progress, but once I progressed to the point when you see her she gets you to give her a bj, I am now completely unable to click any of the options.
I am also only on the omnibus encounter, I have not reached visiting Mao
I'm going to have to assume this is an error on your end. I haven't experienced this myself when testing, and Omnibus Encounter has been out for quite a number of months and no one else has reported this issue but instead a few other issues that got fixed.
Of course, if anyone else reports this same issue I would have to do more digging.

Guess ThresholdMGD really expected people to grind that much XD
I mean, I'm aware people in general tend to grind a lot for the game. XD

Though for the fight itself during testing I cleared it at around lvl 35, so I am confident that people can clear it. Though at that level I also knew how the fight worked.

Content
Pretty meh for four months.
I'm doing my besht.
(Also everything else in the patch notes doesn't do itself xD)
The intro scene also went through a number of drafts.

I couldn't wait for this update, now i'm disappointed...Only one fight : Perpetua. An hardcore one with only one defeated scene, so i was hoping a good thing after that.Nothing more, just a Lore stuff around Perpetua. Well ... wait for next update, nothing more to say
Out of curiosity what were you expecting?

Took me a bit less than an hour to get through the update
Did you enjoy it?

like all the art and half of the newly added scenes, have been fully done by others and even the stuff done by the developer himself was edited by others, then I really gotta wonder how an average day looks like for him. Does he write 1-2 story sentences per day and then lays in the sun until the next day?
I go over all added scenes with my own editing passes. And the new scenes added not by me are around 6k-ish words I'd say?
While the stuff I did totals probably over 30-40k? Though you might only be counting sex scenes.
And editing in the case of MGD is not just a spelling grammar pass and is much more intensive back and forth between me and the editor.
Additionally, I don't think you want me to do the art for the game, while some of it holds up okay, the commissioned ones are certainly of hire quality compared to the old mountain or forest background, and even then for commissions there's still overhead for going over with them with what I want and doing back and forth as it progresses, it is not a just happens thing.
Which is then also not counting any work towards system/coding, game design, community management, or otherwise.

I certainly wouldn't be able to justify paying anything monthly for that kind of output
Then don't?

At this point you gotta ask questions why does it take 4+ months to write one scene for entering the city and to code a single fight.
That sure is a way to understate how long that 'one' scene is and the amount of writing that went into that fight.
Also there's also the lake interactions, as well as the other work mentioned prior.

Now I hope more city content is already made or close to being done for v25.1 or something, because this is update was really bare minimum.
This update was always intended to be the intro to the capital, and has been stated as such at every time I've brought it up.
And work is done on things as they occur for the most part.

I am wondering what the reasons are for the output being very slow despite all the money that goes in there.
Money does not make me magically multiply or cause artists to always be available when I want them, nor havethe people I commission for writing extra scenes be available either.

I certainly did write much more story related stuff than this update had, in my native language and sometimes in one sitting if the flow was good, yes porn related stuff, even some requests at times.
You can write over 30k words in one sitting? Including editing?

I recon the text could have been done on a day off by pretty much anyone
I would be surprised.

extra scenes had help from others or were entirely done by others
Yes I am trying to get more content into the game via commissions. Which does still involve me going over them.

so that leaves the fight and minor changes to balancing taking up months by itself
The fight was developed just in March.

Which I'm sure people will have the tendency to underestimate what goes into a fight for MGD, especially a boss fight.

Is there any way to refight dark Perpetua after beating her?
There will be in a future update. (y)
Sooner over later.

It's always sad when you see a game with great promise resort to drip-feeding content in order to extract as much money as possible from backers
Or other things occur.
But yeah I suppose paranoia is expected around here when it comes to game development.

It's not a drip feed. Considering it's one person having to develop this there are a lot of circumstances that slow production.

Family/Life reasons, Sickness, Exhaustion/Burn out (This happened last year), Communication with artists to actually get the art assets, waiting on said artists to supply the art assets, properly coding and testing the content, spell checking, and a bunch of other misc things . . . it's not drip fed. It just takes a while for content to come out that is actually of quality. It's not as easy as it looks.

Thresh actually communicates and keeps people up to date with his progress down to how many words he's pumped out that day when he gets work done/a scene done (Highest I've seen was around 5k at once). One of the reasons this update took so long was that Thresh underestimated how much time the recent fight would take him due to the variables he was working with and the lines of text.

As someone that has been burned by milking devs in the past, I can say confidently Thresh isn't one of those people.
I'm doing my besht. :giggle:

Wait so ONE person is getting £3000+ per month? They could pay for help.
Where do you think the art and writing form other people comes from? xD

But as mentioned prior in this increasingly long post, they're not always available.

babe wake up, its time for the monthly debate over threshold's paetreon earnings, dev speed, and personal life
It feels more like weekly. :ROFLMAO:

Monthly?
I wish.
People seem to scrutinize them every other day now.
Be an independent creator they said, you'll be free of oversight and can make your own decisions they said.

Yeah no. People go harder on patreon creators than they go on any politician I have seen.
You get used to it.

Does anyone have the change log?
It's in the first post.

Reactions to 25:
Thank you very much for all your feed back! I always love reading it. :giggle:
Though it is hard to respond to all of it. xD

Also Perpetua's sprite is so high so you can see it above the text box tbh. A number of shorter characters get this treatment.

While that is true, I don't necessarily think being free means he's entirely free from criticism or people pointing out the drastically reduced workflow the last year (and a half?). It's pretty jarring to go from regular monthly updates with plenty of new content to waiting months for rather small updates.

Not that I care much since free content is free content, but lets not act as if we can't make fun of the dude every so often for increasingly making more money and putting out less.
Last year was not really a great year.

But I am always open to criticism. :D

I think some people are just disappointed ThresholdMGD doesn't engage with the f95zone community as much (he used to reply to question and stuff but now he just comes for the update announcements)
I guess he spends more time engaging with the patreons which is normal, but it still leaves people wanting (and if he spent all time engaging with people he wouldn't be able to advance in the game making)
I mostly tend to avoid it during update cycles cause when a lot of posts are the same thing when update or similar, there's not exactly a lot to respond to.
There are 5 forums this game is on and overall I've come to kind of ignore them as most of the activity is on the discord now, but this is definitely the most consistently active forum. Basically sometimes I forgor.
And it can also be very time consuming to keep up with everything too.

I'm still waiting to be able to "holy hand hold" and "holy hug" after spending hours to holy headpat every girl to see if they had special reactions (++ sofia or the hellhounds)
Sadly adding new player skills like that would create an nth degree problem for needing to add it to all enemy interactions, so that's very unlikely to occur.
But you'll always have the pat! : D

anyway I was wondering :

She got knocked back in the shock wave, it should be in the text during it.

Another long time for another small and bug ridden update. Gotta love how his Patreon said a goal of 6 art pieces a month when he reached much less than what he's currently getting paid, and he never even honored it then. People are right to criticize someone who advertises falsely.
Not all art I get goes into the game right away.
And artists or otherwise are not always available to be commissioned.
Really said goal should get updated to better reflect the reality of the situation but I keep forgetting to do it.
That is also a 2-6 approximate goal. Not a strict 6. It has never been a strict 6.
So which of us is falsely advertising exactly? :giggle:

Course there's all the other assorted like editing or commissions or otherwise.
But I'll presume you're just here to complain.

This game went from getting a big update every month or two to now waiting almost 5 months for a 15 minute update, with way more patreons as well. And people still defend Treshold for some reason.
"15 min update"

...h-how fast do you read?

I feel like a majority of this game's dev time is used waiting on art to be finished instead of writing scenes
No?
I can write without art.

also i feel like the recall stone should be retconned out of the plot considering the dev has shown he's capable of doing scenes where you're imprisoned and milked.
I'm not sure if that's exactly a good reason to remove it?
Though I could in theory merge it and the grimoire into one item.

Goodbye Level 35 Seduction run. Should've made multiple save files.

Time to start anew with a PURE MAGICS. View attachment 2522352
Is Rika not warning enough you think?
Also there's an A in the bottom left of the save screen that hold auto saves, but i may be too late.

Correct. Leveling always felt more like padding than the metaphorical increase of character strength it was meant to be. Sides, I grind enough at my day job.
Don't think it's fair to play an RPG and have the innate expectation that you won't have to manage your level. Hell even in, JRPGs where you don't level like Lightning Returns, you still have to grind other things like money.

I recommend you play action games and other genres.

Sorry, I worded that wrong I meant to ask if they scale to the player's level now and I'm not seeing things.
Mimics do scale to your level. No worries though, that also means they give scaled EXP. It's not like the stats make them any difficult to beat. This game's balance is nonsense. After Lv 50, you can beat opponents with +100 stats above you like cake. If you're level 50 and the enemy you fight is lv 100 they can be beat no problem.

Defeating a Mimic that scales to your level? Not a problem. She will be annoying to deal with at lower levels though. Once you reach like... lv 40 though you'll notice the game can't really throw many challenges at you anymore if you're building your character properly.

My char's Lv 100, and not only was it not hard, it wasn't even time consuming to reach this level.
Srsly, fighting Vili like a few times than killing Mimics with EXP buffing equipment gives you so much EXP it's ridiculous.

Not that my opinion matters much but I enjoyed the update. I think Rika's warning was a pretty strong one but maybe in parenthesis or something mention the challenges ahead could lead to a dead end. The focus on Perpetua this update was a bold one I'd say since chicken-cherry cola is not everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I wish their were a bit more harsh options available for the player to choose.

The nerfing and bug fixes for the Labyrinth are noticeable and good changes. I do wish that there's more sex to be had with the hellhounds outside of having to re-challenge their floor. The new art for the mimics is spectacular by the way.

Looking forward to further developments and additional time spent with the introduced characters.

I didn't have any issues with it although I think it is odd that's all. Some characters do reference your player level and Mimics potentially being a higher level than Sofia is comical to me.
