oh well I have a crit build that i just spam enamor with, generally let's me brute force most fights since I'm a little overleveled (used a mod to freeze my character at 53 so i dont go higher). I also hunted down basically every perk that gets extra spirit since it's almost always worth the downsides. There are actually a lot of viable ways to build your character, the amazing battlefuck system is one of the big draws for me.

I was introduced to Monstergirl Dreams by my boyfriend and I love it; it's just so warm in a way that many games forget to be because they're too focused on making everything be maximum horny. While I wish that you could play as a girl or futanari protag, I'm aware that it's never going to happen given that it'd pretty much double the amount of work to make the game. The idea of battle fuck mechanics was new to me, but MGD does it extremely well - the poses are hot and the girls are hot, and being trapped in a losing battle feels scary while also being excellent as something to get off to. I particularly recall my first encounter with a Mimic.

I'm shy enough that I don't play the game very often and thus haven't gotten very far, but having dipped my own toes into game development I can very vaguely start to grasp the titanic amount of work that's gone into it, and I'm very, very impressed. I'm glad the devs have gotten the support they deserve and are staying afloat, especially these days when eroge are hard to earn anything for.

I do think this game's fantastic, and I'm glad more people are finding it. Kind of surprised that you'd want a futanari protag as a woman though. In my experience, women tend to quite dislike futanari, as it devolves their lesbian sexuality focusing entirely on the male organ.

One of my female friends specifically said, that in most futa works, the girls will literally be super close, to the point of possibly being sexually intimate but never cross that threshold (staying gal pals) until they get a dick which she hated.

Part of the issue is that unless I make it futa, I'd have to entirely change the battle system, which is probably past my abilities. So...might make it Futa.

But yeah, you've really nailed why MGD is a game I keep coming back to even as a male protag game.

Very frequently. Of the 27 games I've played in my library that I deem "Good", only six are male-led, and two (out of four) offer the choice of playing male that I've taken. (There might be games I'm forgetting, I suffered a data loss recently).

You're...not entirely wrong, and I wish you were. Like, I love this game because of how cozy it is (Have I really not reviewed it? Might be time for another playthrough) and you can probably see through my reviews I've been frustrated at how so many female characters are just not treated or written well. There's a handful of female led games that I can say I really like the main character, even. Still, I try, on a constant search for good F-Protag games that scratch my itches.

But yeah, you've really nailed why MGD is a game I keep coming back to even as a male protag game. It's just a nice fucking setting, in a way that I see very rarely done. People should enjoy sex, come on.

I genuinely and sincerely avoid most female protagonist games, because they are literally the opposite of this, so hearing you say you're surprised that even a male MC game would have this kind of sexual content focus kind of felt like a denial of my experiences playing erotic games. Which obviously I know you weren't trying to do of course.

If you mean from the new update, I already liked Heather and her content is great. Very interested in more with her if she is going to be consistently around in these intelligence sigil hunts. Both of the dragons in the update interest me a lot, but considering Malicia is a slow burn side character with a hard to write personality due to her mannerisms... I have a feeling I'll be waiting a long time before she has a ton of content to chew on.

If you mean overall, definitely Vili, Sofia, Stella, and Kotone for me. But really any of the more dominant girls I enjoy a lot.

The content I'm most looking forwards to in the capital is the Livewire area. The casino dungeon I have a feeling will have a whole findom focus, and I don't like it with Venefica or even the prostitution with Auria so doubt I'll enjoy that too much. But maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised when that releases in 2030 :^)

Definitely. I'm not saying it's not impossible.

I'm just saying that futa games and works generally (in my experience of course) portray lesbian relationships as "gal pals" and then one of them gets a dick and now they can't get off each other. The framing diminishes the lesbian sexuality for the sake of the dick, and this is predominantly how futa is done in almost anything I've consumed with it. If it was at minimum, they were shown as intimate b4 the whole dick came into equation it'd feel less weird to me, but hey, I'm a guy. These are just things I've noticed as a bystander. I genuinely despise futa and actively avoid it now of course.

Maybe I liked relaxed girls more than I thought. My avatar's a hellhound so I always thought I was drawn to the fiery, and passionate personalities, but in Monstergirl Dreams I've noticed I don't like a lot of them.

I obviously don't like Ceris or Beris. I don't like Feng all that much either.

But the relaxed and confident doms like Venefica, Ancilla, Mizuko and now Heather have genuinely got me going.

My favorite character is most definitely Mika.

As a huge fan of big asses and anal, meeting Mika for the first time instantly caught my attention with her massive preference for butt stuff. I absolutely love her confidence in using her ass to drain people, which makes it so much more erotic when you manage to make her orgasm from anal. All of this is coupled with the fact that the art for her and her ass is extremely hot to me too, so I revisited her section of the dungeon pretty often.
