This is why the assholes here can make a person who continually releases kindness change and ultimately choose to end everything.
Trying to stop piracy/leaking is a massive losing battle unless you can setup a system that makes it too difficult or not worth the effort, but then you'll hinder your own growth because you hurt the people willing to back your efforts as well.

Should have accepted that piracy happens and used this site to interact with people who have honest feedback regardless of the stolen work, ignored all the stupid spiteful people or ones who have almost worthless 'feedback'.
OR
Literally stop hurting yourself by even coming to this site and accept that it's here and your content gets uploaded.

I guess having the people who were on your patreon and wanted to help you make your project wasn't enough to counteract the people who probably don't care about it at all.

But ultimately it's your own decision, just feels like you're being angry and spiteful about something that could have been avoided all together by not interacting with this site.

But.... you are needed to answer the call! As a devout follower and believer in MGS. Monster Girl Supremacy, for the uninitiated heathens. You are a vessel for our teachings. Showing people the true path of abandon human, embrace monster. You must ignore the infidels and continue your work!

Remember this important mantra.... monster girl thighs, save lives.

Your 'Hero' ruined everything.
Remember what #871 said?

I had planned to initiate negotiations and compromise with DocRipper.
You could have gotten more then.
Now, besides receiving less content, you will have nothing in the future.
You should thank that smart-aleck 'Hero'.

Ok? doesn't seem to be anything about my points.

Nobody can change your mind on what you want to do, only you can. Wish you good luck on whatever you want to do in the future.

I always keep my word.
Every promise I dare to make signifies that I understand what I will face.
When I make it clear that this is killing the goose that lays the golden eggs, there are still impulsive and short-sighted fools who do it.
They were shooting themselves in the foot.
As I mentioned above, they ended up with less.
And I am fully prepared to face everything that comes with my decision.
(Which isn't even a bad thing to me...just like #836)
I know this is hard to understand—after all, I have never followed the conventional path from the very beginning.
I have said many times that I do not dislike piracy.
(But that was a long time ago, so I don't blame anyone for not noticing)
The current situation is just their choice within what I can bear.

I appreciate that. However, I must say that I am not an official representative of F95, I am not an admin, nor a moderator, nor an official uploader. I have no control over anything.
The system here is an autocracy, but otherwise the community is decentralized.

Probably the only chance to somehow solve the situation and reduce leaking is to at least release something for hungry birds, some older public builds or play with the Patreon API and the idea of DRM.
Using a "nuclear bomb" is a pretty extreme situation..

Me too, I'm nothing. (How ironic that the developers of the project are nothing.)
I chose you simply because I can feel kindness being passed on.

Those with authority here have chosen to do nothing.
Then, it was only a matter of time before the situation evolved into this.
Because the people here are only greedy for more.
Because that is the history of the last few years.

Yes, this is what keeps happening here over and over again.
Ignoring all the unfairness and bullying, they think you should continue to please them for free; otherwise, you're petty and childish.
When you persist for years with willpower and passion, they keep maliciously attacking your project.
And when you are driven to destruction because of them, they take it as proof that they were right.

A newly created account took action to destroy this project in just one minute.
View attachment 4797852
This is deliberate malice.

I have said many times that I don't want money or help from leechers.
My purpose has never changed.
This project is still in the growth phase.
I just want to protect my project from the assholes.
After so many years of hard attempts and goodwill, I have realized that everything is ineffective.
The fact is, the only way to truly protect a project is to shut it down.

This is why the assholes here can make a person who continually releases kindness change and ultimately choose to end everything.
Kuroko14 aka DreamDemon you need to find a new avenue to achieve your goals & safely distribute your content without risking others plagiarizing your work or redistributing the content you wish to share, without your consent. focus on getting it published through the right channels like a renowned distributor like maybe steam or .itch.io? like Krasue or AcesStudio is currently doing. dont give up on your dreams, especially if you spent years working tirelessly & receive no benefits for your handwork other than hardships & ridicule online, you need to rise above those that keep throwing hurdles at you & stop playing their mind games. as soon as you release content. its immediately distributed elsewhere without your consent, correct?, well honestly the harsh truth is you probably cant trust anyone online, because anyone you try to trust eventually will inadvertently make a decision to share the content again, unless its closely monitored like a company would do. so for your own safety and preservation, i suggest you seek out those that share the same ideology and actual game development skills & experiences as yourself, creatives have studied the same subjects as you, faced the same hardships as you, and are struggling as you are now. your best course of action is what your already doing currently, but dont expect anyone to officially help you. instead be discreet and ask for help without telling anyone what your intentions actually are, maybe don't share your hard work online. but instead just share videos, demonstrations, showcasing what you can actually do, & encourage people to consider funding your project this way. people will advise against this, no doubt & probably try to persuade you. but here's the thing, remind them they already know you have content & your good at what you can do. ever heard of the carrot and the stick approach? you've given them the carrot & now its time for the the stick. starve them for more, only give them demos videos now & artwork with watermarks, or videos showcasing your artwork. put your signature on everything. "people treat artists like their vending machines, only they dont want to pay for the content, if they can avoid it. because why pay money when you can just kick the vending machine and get free content?" no one will truly invest their money into someones else's ideals, unless it somehow benefits themselves. everyone is out for self preservation now and with new tariffs happening, various greedy organizations in the world, money is scarce. it makes it so much harder for creatives like yourselves to live or receive, anyone creating anything now, still needs to feed themselves and pay for their rent, the same applies to funders, but remind people that your an artist, time is money. the price for living has gone up, everywhere. people will become more despondent and aggressive, overtime just to get whatever they want or need to live. so you need to be more vigilant now. find other developers like yourself & band together, collaborate, support each other, share distribution of wealth if its gained. if its crowd funded then allocate teams to focus on certain aspects, things you need done. or help them in exchange for their help & barter with them. get them to help with mundane tasks, so you can utilize your time more efficiently unhindered. focus on your goals and ignore what nefarious folk online are doing with your old content. dont be distracted & accept people will steal, accept people will lie, but dont let that stop you achieving your goals, this is your life and this is your time. no one has the right to take that from you. dont let them win, if they go hard, then you go harder. best of luck Kuroko14 aka DreamDeamon. & thank you for everything you've given us over the years & your devotion. please dont lose hope just find a new community build your dream project, your Shangri la & protect it.

I'm not trying to defend or justify piracy, but I feel that its something extremely common and unavoidable in most cases, like fighting a losing battle like somebody else said above.

I feel bad about the dev, but the one thing that could be positive about this unavoidable piracy is more exposition to the work and hence more potential contributors to its development (Even more if he decides to accept feedback and communicate, like a PR thing.)

I'm not sure if popular projects like Tower of Trample or Under the Witch would have gotten that huge following if they didn't show up here with the humongous amount of comments in their threads, with leaks as soon as stuff releases. A good percentage of the pirates that got to know the game by playing for free could appreciate the project more by paying sooner or later, or at least that's how i see it.

Well... I guess this game wont ever see the light of day (for us anyway), shame people had to ruin it with their stupidity. There aren't that many games like this one out there, I'm not 100% caught up with all the drama surrounding this since I stopped checking the thread like a year ago but from what I've seen it seems like things turned into a shitfest and now the project is dead... like all the other monster girl games (its like a fucking curse at this point).
I don't want to be "that guy" but... at some point developers have to focus on their health first, no game or project is worth destroying yourself physically and mentally thanks to less than pleasant individuals
we are all human beings after all, with different limitations, personalities, endurance (for bullshit).
This is what happens when you bite the hand that feeds you.

Its a shame that two of my favorite projects Monster Girl Island and Monster Girl Project (that I have found via browsing sites like LewdZone and now F95 as they dont have much exposure until they get added to Steam or itch) have ended up like this. Monster Girl games seem to be cursed. Been following this project since 2021. Sad to see it go.

Honestly, I think you're feeding trolls...
For every negative comment about the game, there are ten more praising it. I'm almost certain the content was leaked so quickly just to piss you off, and unfortunately, it worked.

maybe it’s a translation issue or something similar, some JP/EN translators can be awful, but feeding trolls only makes things worse. If you decide to add DRM or something like that, considering your reaction history, they'll just put extra effort into cracking your game out of spite... this is just an example, you showed that you are an easy target for them to harass.

Anyway, the game you were working on looked great.
Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck going forward.

Every promise I dare to make signifies that I understand what I will face.
Just like developing a game.
Whatever you do is within the plan.
Because all the options you see are given by the developer.
Now it's just a fool who chose the bad ending.

Again, which isn't even a bad thing to me.

Alright I'm going to keep coming off like an asshole, but if you're literally sticking to your promise, then why the hell are you still responding here? Even though I think to just drop everything like that on your patreons and others who support you is a shitty move.

If you're actually going to stick to your ideals, then just stop responding on here, drop everything and let yourself feel relieved that you don't have to deal with the bullshit anymore.

If you think you're going to 'win' or feel like you're right in the decision you made, random people on a pirating site are not going to really give you the closure or satisfaction that you are after.

But if you're feeling dissatisfied and actually are sad about the fact you closed your project after spending years on it, then my suggestion is to take a break. However long it takes, spend time to reflect and think about if you want to actually stop all the work you've put into this project or if you actually enjoy working on it and want it to succeed.

Because once again, at the end of the day, it all depends on YOU, and if you're satisfied with what you're doing.

If you do decide to work on the game again, as annoying and hard as it may seem, I would suggest to either promote your game more, the good and the bad - even bad exposure is still ways to reach other people and audiences that would have never even heard about it otherwise (this site is a prime example).

You could reduce or remove release content for people on patreon or other services to reduce leaked content or piracy but sadly a lot of people aren't willing to back something without getting anything in return.

Anyway, lot's of words for saying - look after yourself first, if you feel like this is the right move then it's all good. As much as myself and others would have liked to see you continue working on your project.

If it's no longer enjoyable or effecting you mentally then I would say thank you for the work you've done and I'm sorry to see you go. But please look after your own health and well being first. Thank you.

I’m not sure whether to debate this.
Your advice is something I've heard many times before. (Yes, I have never forgotten these.
It has never been money or attention that I’ve been after.
I know what I'm doing.
I also know that I am the only one who knows what I am doing.
after all, I have never followed the conventional path from the very beginning.

Thank you for your kindness.
Don't worry, I'm fine.
And I will repent in hell for the harm I have caused to those who supported me.

I'm curious how he thought going on this website that actively pirates stuff and having a meltdown over the leaks would go well for him.

The thing is not that people were posting leaks, is that they were doing it just out of spite and anger to piss him off, which worked wonders. all the while insulting the dev himself too. They saw he was an easy target and got upset easily so they just went for it

i mean the account that posted the previous link literally did so a MINUTE after creating the account (probably an alt account from someone in here)
To me everyone involved should've handled things better than they did, but what's done is done, i don't believe there's a clear cut good guy and bad guy here, besides the alt account that posted the leaks previously (yeah im not going to fucking believe he just casually found F95 and this thread in less than a minute)

There are a few devs here that managed to strike a deal so to speak(with the community of their respective threads) and would only post leaks after an X amount of days have passed (sometimes weeks)
maybe that could've been the case on this thread too if shit didn't hit the fan several times

Rest.
I always say "I'm making games all the time."
This is neither a joke nor an exaggeration.
Otherwise, how can one person single-handedly handle everything in a game—programming, music, environments, character models, and animations? (And ensure their quality.
People often fall into misconceptions.
Comparing a game developed by a team of five over one year versus a game developed by a single person over five years, people tend to assume that the individual developer is simply lazy.
In fact they are the same.

Now that I've been given a hard-earned vacation, I have to indulge myself.
I know this is not the answer you want to hear, but my current schedule is to have a good rest.
(And please don't ask me what I'm going to do after this.

Its kinda crazy, i found this thread years ago and just silently followed it from time to time and to see it all end up like this is sad, but it is what it is
sometimes people take shit for granted and this is the result.
but there will always be bad apples everywhere you go and people (aka trolls) that get their rocks off trying to piss people off to feel better about themselves, they are basically just internet bullies.

Now that I've been given a hard-earned vacation, I have to indulge myself.

It's okay, after all the bullshit drama (and believe me from what i've seen monster girl themed games almost ALWAYS bring in a shitload of drama for SOME fucking reason) you earned your rest, no one in their right mind would want to bother at this point
just enjoy yourself and do things that you find fun and take care of your mental and physical health.
