I find that the difficulty bounces back from both sides of the spectrum. I started barely managing to beat bosses on the easiest difficulty, now I'm insta-gibbing bosses on Normal.

I'm trying to keep a balance of fun and difficulty, so I have to keep adjusting the difficulty when I feel like it's too easy, or when I can't progress.

So I just completed the game, both normal chaos ending and true ending... A bit disappointed that we can't have the Judge or Destroyer recruited, not sure if we even can... but I really wanna recruit his final form.

They are in the game, but you need to wait until the NG+ update... Or use mtool.

I feel like they should have toss balance out the window in part 3. A lot of characters I wanna use are just not useful in the angelic dominion.
They did. Since 3.02 you can put the monster at 1 hp/1 attack/1def/1 agi.
You can end the story boss with slime girl if you want.

But you can actually use almost any character, just use Promestein race change (so you can level up a lot of races to increase your SP and pasives) and be sure to keep your gear update, you can deal tons of dmg with any character, even the ones from part 1.

The game is legit balanced, but people dont want to use any of the options to increase your stats/dmg, they just want to one shot any enemy with no gear.

That works for some but not everyone, Harpies and Lamia don’t have any options with Prom before chaos.

Yeah i agree on that, my Pilate and Novissa are both monsters in term of damage (Pilate) and tankiness (Novissa)

I think that's an unfair assessment. While I personally wouldn't rate this game 2 stars, the only thing it does remotely well is the story, theme, and of course pron if you're into monster girl lovers.

As an RPG, it's really not that great. The balance is wonky, too many convoluted systems, and it's laughably easy to abuse outside of the random difficulty spike which again just goes back to the poor balance point until, once again, the system is rebroken by random prodding.

As someone who almost exclusively plays (J)RPGs, I'd never recommend this game for its RPG elements alone. It's also definitely not the most complex RPG out there, and regardless, convoluted does not equal sophisticated, and just because something is either one doesn't mean it's a good thing.

I love this game/series to death but some of you really need to check your bias, lol. That, or play more than just pron games. It's also 3 separate games--you don't get to cheat that to its benefit.
It's not convoluted in any capacity, well objectively it's the most complex customization system in any JRPG, if you disagree give me an example. It's just that you yourself, for whatever reason, don't like complexity in customization options and call those "convoluted", it's a matter of taste. More than this, you literally have a party of 10 characters in the late game, making even combat itself very complex and variable. The balance issue is mostly status effects and in trying to recruit every possible girl, otherwise anyone can just set the difficulty to what they prefer. A lot of balancing issues come from the second part integrating the first, especially considering that the new systems weren't balanced for Part 1, this is why I recommend people to play Part 1 as a separate game with its old final patch, it's almost perfectly balanced.

Some popular JRPGs that are loved by the community, in comparison, like DQ 11, have a system aimed at little children, without any complexity, where you don't need to turn on your brain at any point. Maybe this is the type of JRPGs you prefer. There are even people who find BG 3 hard on Normal, so what do I know, lol.
