Hey, guys. I'm on the Ilias continent in the gold mine. Is roper girl joinable character? Coz I can't seem to get one (I've lost count how many of them I've defeated on 100 affinity)
Edit: ok, they are recitable, it seems (used 100% recuit mod to check) it seems that there's something odd going on with their recruit chance or I've got very unlucky
I wonder if there's a way to view recruit chance in the game
Not directly to see recruit chance because there is a formula that does it , you can see if they can be recurited by the green name in talk which blanks when recurited

which is 1/"Follower Denominator")*100% * Recruitment Rate * Affinity/100 = Final Chance

that follower goes from 1 to 6(at least in demo , part 3 might have higher)
but basically works out that roper girls(who are a 4) at 100 affinity have 25% to join if working with base recruitment rate

at most are able to have the 150% rate(aka 37% chance to join) unless grinding a lot to get monster hunter for the 200% or smooth talker that has a skill that give 300% and only way to stack recruitment rate above 300% in part 2 since ability or items of it don't stack

so a bit of getting unlucky but also low odds to start with

While the mod is good for just making it much much easier to sum it up most characters will join 100% if they have 100 affinity any 300% recruitment rate skill up in part 1 and 2 with only the most unlikely monsters not able and needing the combo of 300% skill and 200% ability( aka 4 and 5 need 400% total and 500% requirement rate at 100 affinity for sure join )

getting into part 3 characters can need the full 300% + 300% for a sure join(at least up the big decision point) likely gets harder from there to balance out the sealed jobs recruit up ability but haven’t looked at that myself so can’t say for sure

Thanks.

Is there a way for me to cheat extra characters into my party, so I can play with both Illias and Alice in party?

I read about something called the cheese mod, that sounded like it could enable it - but I'm guessing it doesn't work with the most recent version?

I tried reading up on the MTool too, but it seems a lot more complicated and/or maybe my computer isn't powerful enough (idk how demanding it is).
I added Illias through MTool, I opened the game through MTool, loaded the save and waited for the game to be functional, I could move the characters, I went to the castle, left an empty character space, I was part of the actor in MTool, I looked for Illias' code, clicked on the check box and it was for me! Basically you can do everything in MTool, I just couldn't add race to the character! But I didn't try that much!

The only way to do that without cheating is completing the chaos route and starting a New Game + even then unless you really want to replay the first two parts as an unkillable machine that obliterates enemies with a light breeze. there's no real benefit from doing this as there's no new dialogue maybe the ng+ update will fix that but I wholeheartedly don't think they will unless that NG+ does a whole lot more to the story.

I have a question. I've messed around with gifts to a Sparrow girl, then loaded my save to see that her affection changed to new value from gifts, that I never gave her (including even earlier saves)
Is there a way to reset affection to 0 or make it so that it reverts to previous value if I load a save?

So you did recruit her? (with help of the mod?) is the name of the recruit location gold mine?
Yup, I did. Then I loaded the save and managed to do it without the mod too (but with some of the monster girl it take crazy amount of tries to do it, I think the smart thing to do is to wait until you get items and skills that raise recruit chances - at least with some of them (edit: scratch that - just use recruit chance boosting items\skills at all times whenever possible and it will pay off because of the possibility of a long unlucky streak)

Thanks, that pretty interesting. By the way - where do you view the denominator of specific monster?
As far as I can tell so far, the more intersting chars might have a higher denominator, for example I've had a really hard time recruiting monster, called Luxury (in the Tartarus on Illias continent near Rostrum) and she has innate binding strike 30%, Makina skills access at all times as well as crazy resistances to most things (coming from cheater doll race :d)
I haven't even finished Ilias continet and cannot tell how well it scales into the late game, but it's one of the strongest chars I've set my eyes on so far, considering some of the item\other character combinations you could do e.g. party her with someone who triggers predation from bind ailment, which if I understand correctly she can set up from aoe skills, including Makina, which seem very strong even on their own

One thing that bugs me is that some of the portraits don't have the same artist as there scenes. Very unfortunate.

Sadely not easily in game because is stored in the follower script so can’t be easily seen in game however the wiki does have it marked in the and most who join via event have N/A though not all

the closest we getting in game is an old man in Ilaisvile saying how different types of monster girls have different odds of joining you and all you can do is raise recruitment odds through jobs like said monster hunter line and raising affinity

for all Apoptosis aka monsters in Tartarus on Illias are 4 then switch to 5 after(not sure of the ones in part 3 yet aka after great decision) first 5 you will run into is treasure Cave spider(with 2 on the kitsune) and the Mimic girl who starts showing up in red chests after that point

as a point the first 6 monsters are the two onis in the monster lord castle

I have another question. So, I got Luka's sword upgraded to "Elemental custom", which says it now has simultaneously fire strike, ice strike and lightning strike
What do those do and how does it work \what does it affect?
Does it mean that weapon deals non-physical damage? But which type, since it has 3 elements at the same time, I'm so confused
Like - if I strike enemy, who is weak vs fire, average vs lightning and resistant to ice which strike effect (if that's how it's called) will it pick?

Well, I just got the tripling of recruit rate skill on Amira\unfortunate lamia character (that comes with the Informant job already mastered, so it's relatively short grind away from that skill) and it seems to make the whole procedure much less tedious for sure (can't speak for the rarity\denominator 6 monsters)

By the way - what's the deal with effects stacking and calculation? It seems to go case by case, as ecnounter rate seems to stack between items and skills and I even suspect that it further stacks between multiple dudes using the same ability (I mean about Gadabout's ability "Encounter half\encounter double")
But XP and Job XP doesn't stack at all and only the biggest bonus counts
Also it behaves weirdly when you have items that substract some percent from it when you couple it with effects that increase it - like you can have a binding rope (200% xp) and then it stacks with "Prioritize Job XP" (50% XP, 150% Job XP) Resulting in getting to 150% XP, 150% Job XP, but if you use anything, that substracts 100% XP you will always have 0% XP gain.
So sometimes the calculation seems to be additive, sometimes multiplicative without clear distinction, and sometimes the "+100%" gets crazy effect like with weapon conditionals (like if you strike someone blind with fang weapon the damage number goes into 5 digits, which seems much stronger than tripling the damage like it says it should in the tooltip)

So what I mean to say if, say, "extra recruit chance" equip stacks the way weapon conditionals do it might be easy to recruit even rarity 6 guys

Edit: from the brief examination of the list of monsters and their respective denominators - that math doesn't reflect my experience per se. Because a lot of the girls with same denominator 4 I got almost immediately, so it's more like you could just be getting some really bad rng sometimes and get your 25% recruitment on 50th try (could be on 100th \maybe there's some extra factors)

Edit-2: if case anyone reads this post and is interested I checked the XP\Job XP stacking more and so far anything that sets your XP (or Job XP) to 0% will make it so you won't be able to have any XP at all, no matter if you stack extra XP via buffs or some such
And XP stacking actually is possible via buffs (gadabout's lucky song, alchemist Planet light and, I think Miracle Song from Academy Doll advanced race works the same way) and they seem to both stack with any other +XP source and with each other, but additively (not multiplicatively), so stacking Plant's light (Job XP 500%) with Job XP full focus (Job XP 200%) and Lucky song (Job XP 200%) will net 1000% Job XP (900% from buffs+100% base) from 1 fight, which is still really good to use on smth like boss\mini-boss fights that give you good chunks of XP

In short: having additional elements on a weapon is almost always good. If your weapon deals physical, fire, ice, and lightning, and they null fire, ice, lightning, you still deal 100% physical damage. If they're 200% weak to fire but only neutral toward the others, you deal 200% fire damage.

Is download version english translated? Does part 3 contains previous 2 parts in it?
Yes and no. Depend where you picked your game version and if the translation from part 1-2 is merged with part 3. The data from part 1-2 are inside the game but for exemple you don't have the pictures from part 1-2 in the raw version of part 3. So you can play from the beginning but can"t see the sex scene from the monster of part 1-2.
At the end of the day most links you can find have the content from part 1-2 merged inside part 3 with some minor battle dialogue still in the process of merging.

I mean versions that are downloaded to this site. gofile or MEGA downloads for example.
