Is there a way to modify a save and add a party member? I'm in Chaos Route and don't have Amira, I'd like to add her in to help track progress

ah i just use rpg save editor when i need to plan to not use it for act 3 think i tried to use though to get throught labyrith of chaos back when it was pt 2

Out of curiosity, is there a way to completely reset a characters job/race level? And no not the revert to how they were when you recruited them.

Okay, so pick in The Great Decision blocks(side quests of companion, small medals exchange, possibility start Collaboration Scenario) this all or im something miss ?
P.S Btw, did it possible win the first fight on diff higher normal ?

This probably has been answered before but is the third part translated? in the main post part 3 doesn't have a translator included. And does it even have the full 3rd part, since only the demo is mentioned?

No, the translation main post it's still on progress, maybe 1~2 years to complete(the part 3 its big).
The MTL-Bob translation its full if you want, he made some edits.

How to fix this? restarted pc. reinstalled game. deleted all saves. made sure folder was not on read only. nothing wrong with the ssd its installed on. happens immediately when trying to save the game
edit 1 i was able to save after repeatedly trying it and the save seems to load just fine
edit 2 the error still randomly shows up when opening the menu and boots me out of fullscreen so its not only when saving

If you're running an unpatched version, you need to apply at least a PNG patch. The unpatched game uses or at least used to use a hacky PNG saving method when doing a save.

Didn't test this at all, but if they didn't change anything, this should still work. Place file in Patch folder replacing the original Patch.rb file there.

Edit: actually looks like they finally fixed the png issue in part 3, so this patch does pretty much nothing.

still happens with that patch file. the error doesnt seem to do anything other than be a nuisance occasionally

Extract it to its own folder. Do not overwrite anything. The 8.2 gigs you just downloaded are a full, working copy of Paradox 3.06 with 99% translated.

Run the game, make sure it works. If you're running a windows PC, it should. If you've got old saves, make a backup of the save folder, and copy your old one into the new mgq folder.

Hell, you can just play now if you want. But, to translate some subquest stuff in chapter 3...

Next, download this. the '_Tiny Improvs BOBmtl with patcher 0.17 (for 3.06)' file from here.

Now, in the MGQ game folder, delete the 'one click patcher' and 'patch' folders.

Now extract the _Tiny Improvs BOBmtl with patcher 0.17 (for 3.06) so ITS one-click patcher folder is there.

In the one click folder, run "Start_Patch [52AE0DFB]" and press 2.

Wait.

Once it's reported it's done, run the game again.

On a win 11 PC, if you follow all of these steps, you will end up with a working game. I literally did it as I was writing this just to test. If you don't, either you've done something wrong, or you've got some individual compatibility issue that none of us are going to be able to help with, probably at all, but especially if all you say is 'it didn't work.'

Questions and answers.

Is this the full game?
Yes. This is a full and complete version of the game with all assets. You can play through from the start of part 1 all the way to the end of part 3 as of the 3.06 patch.

How much is translated?
All of it. However, the quality varies. All of parts 1 and 2 are human translation from the fan translation team. However, their part 3 translation isn't done yet, so after a certain point in part 3 it switches to human edited MTL.

MTL? Where and how bad?
As far as I can tell, from around the start of the Sabasa region on Alice's route, and attacking Kannad at Grand Noah on the Illias route. The whole third route is MTL. Said MTL has been given an editing pass by a human and is perfectly understandable if you pay attention. It was done with a fair amount of care.

Saves from previous versions should be compatable. Just copy over your save folder.

Mods?
In these instructions I have you delete the patch folder that contains the mods before repatching. This is because mods for an older version of the game can cause crashes and there doesn't seem to be any version numbering. There are a few useable mods in the second gofile link, the one for the one click patcher. Look in the folder at the bottom.

To note, I followed all the steps. It ended up with the game losing the English Translation. As seen in the attached image. A warning for those who plan to try this and happen to be on Windows 10.

Cool. And which error the patcher window showed? Or did it ended prematurely just because you have some of those "? ! % & # * ^ [ ] { } < > / \ $ ` " @ +" symbols or japanese in path to the game?
