The first teaser for Morningstar was a Patreon only sneak-peak that had the first two days. That was Dec 31st 2022. Act 1 was released (here and on itch.io) May 2023. So somewhere between 2 years and 18 months, beginning to end

i personally loved love of magic quite a lot and i'm hesitant to do this game mainly because its going from magic to boxing and with some of the main characters i've kind of fallen in love with (Sasha of course with the Scottish brogue) so worried of crossing how i see them in this game of course. i'll give it a go though

I would say, the nicest thing about writing Morningstar was justice for Katie (I think that's who you call Sasha). She gets to fully step into the role of being one of the primary LIs, and gets her own path and full romance.

dudes.....that speech style in MS is kinda like american sounding old english, where they add "ye"s and try to sound sorta proper (they're angels/natural born americans, thus no reason for the brogue) where LoM they have a heavy scottish brogue (born and raised in scotland, so it makes sense) where they replace words entirely- feck for example.....sure in your head you can read their lines the same way you imagine they sound between LoM and MS, but to me they are completely different in speech patterns and stuff. and by the way, i picture aunt jemima sounding like an old southern black lady.

Those are the lyrics to an old commercial for Aunt Jemima pancakes and syrup. Maybe you knew that, maybe you didn't. You'd likely need to be old like me to hear it in your head. I took some liberties with the lyric to make a cute and funny comment. I was not making a statement about how Aunt Jemima should sound. If you want to get technical, there is no such thing as a Scottish brogue, no matter what Katie would have us believe. Brogue is a term usually applied to the Irish accent and the word brogue in Scotland comes from the Gaelic and refers to a type of shoe. The Scots refer to their accent as a burr and has to do with rolling the letter R.
Now to get untechnical, Katie and Bella will always sound like Katie and Bella in my head no matter what story they are in; which is why I made the comment. You have every right to hear them however you want to hear them but I must warn you (if you dare to look under the spoiler). Katie, and others, will not like having their accents referred as anything other than a brogue. So much for technicalities, eh?

I miss that in MS. I really do, but after some time in the game, you are used to their "new" language... They have still similar characters, but they are placed in different place (universe, time, space, whatever)...
But pattern is still there. Just read Em's lines even from MS act I ...
Technicalities-shmecknicalities. i have no issues with HOWEVER ANYONE ELSE imagines any character in their heads. that trivia about the irish and scottish languages was interesting and it probably got stuck SOMEWHERE in my damaged brain closet pile.....(where fucking EVERY GOD DAMN thing sits now.....) so thanks! oh, and i'm a bit young for the aunt jemima jingle you mentioned.....i think??? when would that commercial been from? mid to late 70's?
Yeah, they ran for a really long time. I'd have to google it to find out just how long for sure. They were simple, tasteful (heh, pun intended) and the jingle stayed with you. No need to change something that works...
