It appears that Steam only has up to version 1.0.5. How does one get 1.0.8? Also, where is the demo for the new game located on Discord? I know you said 'the Morningstar development thread" but I cannot discern where that is. Thanks!
Morningstar Development Branch. It's one of the beta branches on the Steam build.
Go to the library, right click the game, properties, Betas. Then select the Development branch (no password needed).

Cool! Thanks! It doubles my reason to purchase Morningstar. After the numerous hours I spent immersing myself in Love of Magic it only seems fair that I kick a little support your way.
Have I bugged my game? I've played through 4 times trying to unlock dates 2 and 3 for Lin but I can't figure out what to do. I have 5/7 unlocked. In addition, scene replay pays the first dialogue box of a scene then cuts the end?
Just an old build, I think. I'll update the latest once it's done testing (1.1.0, which completes the game and adds on post-game content).

TL;DR? Book 2 NG+ is happily underway and playable on the steam NGPlus branch, Morningstar's gotten some post-game content (including a threesome with Lin and Katie, and some happy times with Sophia), and Wings of Empire is progressing well, with the Sandbox open for business and the first 10 days of story content in. You can play it on the Development branch of Morningstar.

So in order to play the other Paths, I just need to reject the others in order? Reject Light to get Fire, reject Fire to get Peace. etc? I never even saw an offer for Path of Shadow so I must have been too Light oriented.
Light and Fire are pretty clearly labelled. Since I let you turn them BOTH down, I needed a solution for "no romance", which is what Path of Shadows is. Initially there were just those 3 paths, then Lin came over, cooked a nice meal and gave me a back-rub, before suggesting maybe, if the player had already turned down both Emily and Katie, maybe he could come stay with her. Which is how you get Path of Peace.

Wanted to wish ya a happy new year '25 Droid, kinda writing a thank you note to all the Devs that made '24 memorable for me in terms of quality content and LoM, MS and both of the flexible games certainly made the cut so just wanted to appreciate that and greeting you a successful year ahead!

Wait it's done done? I'm a long(ish) time patron but didnt realize it was only gonna be one book unlike LoM, youd think I'd actually read game update posts with only 5memberships lol. But I havent even touched it as I was waiting for the book to be finished. How is it length wise compared to one of the LoM books? Also lookn forward to the space game, space themes are always dope.
i would say steam version is a bit shorter than the first book of LoM
In term of number of days, yes (113 vs 115).
In terms of events, it's significantly denser (There's only something like 4 days with no events on them, and there's obviously the different paths).
And yeah, it's done-done; the paths and epilogues preclude any sequels (unless I just made one of them canon, I guess, but that feels like cheating).
