Are those original lossless files or converted from lossy back to lossless?
They were always stored as PNGs, so lossless. Unity by default then compresses everything to DXTC5 when it builds, which is fine for textures and optimal for loading/rendering, but is actually a pretty shitty format for 2D images.

there will be a compressed version of the completed release? thanks
No. I left the old one around because I knew someone would ask, but I have no plans of updating that build. It's "complete" in the sense that it's the 1.0 build (it's missing the fanservice edition content, and the unity patch, but the whole game is done, including most of the Game+ stuff).

Would you format any of your games to android?
The DAZ ones are way too big (Morningstar's final build is 13GB, and Android builds need to be <2GB). The Flexible Media ones (where I act as producer/coder) are all on Android.

Book of the Fallen you say...

I think subconsciously it's a nod to Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Dead. The Book of the Fallen reference was of course because this, at it's heart, is a story of the Fallen Angels.

I was tinkering with another story, set in the same universe, called Lightbringer: Book of the Mage. If I ever get around to it, it'll be years into the future when I'm done with the Wings of Empire trilogy, but I'm often tinkering with different ideas.

Wings of Empire originally started its life as a character sketch while I was working on Act III of Morningstar. Day 9 is actually the oldest part of the story, and does a lot of work in setting up the main character and the world he inhabits.

Idk what it is but I've had 2 different builds of this VN (1.1.0b & 1.1.2b) and for some reason they both freeze at the same part unable to continue.

That's curious. Do you have a player.log file, I'll see if I can discover what's causing the issue. Just zip them up and drop them here or in DM.

You'll find them here:

PC: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/Droid Productions/Morningstar
Mac:
Saves: ~/Library/Application Support/Droid Productions/Morningstar
Player.log: ~/Library/Logs/Droid Productions/Morningstar/Player.log
Linux: $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/unity3d/Droid Productions/Morningstar
SteamDeck: /home/deck/.config/unity3d/Droid Productions/Morningstar

It's not letting me share the save but it's always right after I have that first time with Ms. Dawnbringer after the proposal, right after they finish and begin to talk it freezes

It's not something generic, since nobody else is getting it, so I'd need the *player.log* file (not the save). If you've started the game since, I'd also need player-prev.log.

You can just zip them up and dump them in here; the forum is weird about some extensions.
