MTool needs to be running whenever you want to do anything. Not new.

I don't understand why people are whining about paying anything.
I guess some people here have never paid for a game in their lives.
I mean, fine but the interwebs aren't free since like 2001.
If you want to know why the limit changed just go ask on the patreon.
I have found that the developer is good at communicating and helpful even given a lack of knowledge of English.

I have used MTool for a lot of things I bought on dlsite and for games I downloaded here and there. Back in the day translating was "done by hand" and so I have played a lot of games which were overlooked or had more of a niche interest. I am very happy with it.

I can use Deepseek on tier 1 now, it's pretty good.

It's a good choice to pay for MTool. I have translated a lot of VNs and it's working wonders. Not to mention the data editing and a few additional mods. I get to read my favorite visual novel without translating it manually, line per line, dialogue per dialogue, through Google Lens. Totally a lifesaver.

Hello, thanks for the tool it is amazing. However, i wanted to create a custom script to set health, mana and the special ability bar to max without recovering status effects because i suck at scripting.
For example, i was playing Magical Girl Celesphonia, i hit the default recover party keysetting and it made it so that "pregnant" status effect was cleared. In short, is there a way to create a custom script on Mods tab to make your health and mana max without removing statuses?

I had a similar need when recover button removed all buffs on a few games as well.

You don't need to script that, Mtool already lets you lock your hp and mana to max. All you have to do is click the lock to max and make sure it's checked. If you just want to set your hp and mana to max once then you can just type in the value and press enter (make sure lock to max is unchecked this time) to set hp and mana to those values. These will not change any status effects.

I was just reporting an error I encountered, which by the way was fixed super fast, so I'm grateful for that.
I've always appreciated mtool, it's literally the only reason I still play games in other languages to this day.

I believe this is using Deepseek 0324; which is a significant update for V3. It's translator is so good you would think it was fan-made (it struggles with pronouns in certain context but still better than anything else). Deepseek with the built in cheats, edits, UI and overall ease of use (Android version available) puts this over the top. Basically, you can no longer use the free version of tool to translate by yourself because "servers" are always "full".

Interesting tool, I didn't have time before to check it out, but seems better than not being able to read Japanese/Chinese but shame about the lack of free translation tools, looks like you need to pay to get member service. I've always complimented free software that give you everything but accepts donations [This is how life should be according to the Bible/God/Angels, however paid or not this one is almost as good as those. So smart guy whoever developed this Mtool.

Would like to know as well. It only shows names of MC and whoever is in the party from what i can see. I guess there is a way to extract the texts and manually change names but i can't figure that one out

Is there a way to have the translation loaded up for the game without having to launch and keep mtools opened in the background everytime? mtools breaks the sound for melty brave when launched through mtools.

this is hands down the best 3 dollars a month i have spent. The translation with Deepseek is 90% identical to a game translated by a human. You are doing holy work.
