I want to preface with a warning for spoilers, an apology for such a long post, and to say that I played their other game and loved it. I was hoping for the same level of quality and mostly lighthearted fun in this one. That's how MBD starts. But later with the most recent update it did get pretty dark for a fantasy game about porn for my taste. You can consider this the tldr.
I'm not a fan of urination or fem dom, but those were optional events. It does have a very one-sided feel to them. If you're in for that, you're all in. There are some early ones that if you're not paying attention you have an almost Zeveran of Dragon Age Origins moment where you get more than you bargained for if you don't pick slow down to let Rin hold it. The good news is that such instances are uncommon. They still feel like catfishing though.
There's no pregnancy kink in this one as far as I can tell. For me coming from the other game that's disappointing, but I'm niche in that. For me that's the best happy ending and can just be really hot if handled right.
Thankfully, it isn't an NTR game, but there were two instances that almost crossed the line on that in my opinion. One was when Annie was nearly raped by some thugs, and it appears that there was more going on with her like that for a long period of time in the past. For me who chose the love route it was not so bad because you don't actually hook up with her during all this time. For the dom people I have no idea. I still don't like that. Of course this was the first moment you have to use the dom power. There is no other way there. Which is bad design to me.
The other time doesn't matter as much because she's not harem and is a shit person to begin with, but his teacher bangs some male student while he is trapped in a locker with Rin. Had it just been a nobody teacher you won't see again, I wouldn't mention it, but she becomes integral to the plot later. You basically have to use the dom power on her or nothing at all which is a HUGE flaw in the premise of the game. I hated that. Do t use it and let her blackmail Rin? Aren't you forcing that ability too much on people? At least the second time you can use it on her and just go with assaulting her.
Just those two cases from what I remember or noticed.
To me that's one of the worst aspects of this game. The dom mind control power? I hate mind control period. It's just rape 9/10 and in this case you also have to deal with a psychopath "goddess" as the medium for it. Most of the worst moments in the game relate to her. And you're meant to just write it off as immortals having different morality. They're just people with long life spans and abilities we currently lack though. So for me it just made me not want to be involved with Hecate or talk to her.
Another thing I noticed was that some dialogue choices are literally a waste of time. Like I don't know why they were put in. You click those then you have to re load a save or listen to why you can't do something like you want to. *shrugs* Also the landlady and neighbors thing? Wtf? Just let people name them like everybody else. That's so weird.
Overall this one is mostly disappointing for me and the most recent update just made me not to want to play to be perfectly honest. I needed this long post not just for feedback, but to articulate my own thoughts on it so I can stop thinking about it. Really dig Rin, Lin, Molly, and Annie could have been handled better to where I would have liked her more, but I guess I won't see that. Though you don't really do anything with Lin either.
