I will comment in Portuguese.
Caso alguém realmente tente continuar de onde GraverobberAXDX parou, ou faça um sucessor espiritual, vou deixar aqui o que eu gosto em "MBFK".
1. O enredo, por mais que pareça engraçado dizer isso, eu jogo pelo plot, em um Netorare personagens carismáticos são importantes.
2. O gameplay, uma das partes mais divertida de "MBFK" é quando investigamos a namorada, caçando suas pistas antes de descobrir a traição, a sua namorada está te traindo e você precisa ir atrás das pistas, seguir seus passos e espionar o que sua namorada está fazendo, parecendo um detetive. É a melhor parte.
3. O mistério, ninguém vai te dizer diretamente que você é "corno", sua namorada não vai admitir que está te traindo, pelo menos não tão cedo, cabe ao protagonista resolver esse mistério.
4. O Voyeurismo, o jogo não se limitar a mostrar cenas de sexo explícito na tela, você pode espionar sua namorada fazendo sexo, além do perv forum, fotos íntimas da namorada vazam em tempo real.
Acho que é isso, outros ja comentaram coisas parecidas que eu também gosto, só queria enfatizar as coisas que eu mais gosto espero ter sido claro o suficiente. Um jogo parecido é Her Fall in the Last Days Lactose Quest.

one of mbfk best details is how the dev treats the storytelling in portuguese. it's singular, something i've never seen before.
i remember feeling uncomfortable while reading a chapter permeated in a sexual atmosphere in "the kingkiller chronicle - the wise man's fear", and the same goes for other kinds of adult media. that alone ingrained a deep bias in me regarding the portuguese's capacity as an language to be ludic for that end. mbfk not alone deconstructed that prejudice, it also provided one of the most pleasant and stimulating experience i've ever had while reading.
i honestly don't believe mbfk will ever get a "worthy successor" if they don't hold this specific aspect of it, otherwise it won't be any different from similar games in the genre (and that also implies the dev would be brazilian and was willing to write in its own language if no one with such ability to convey a sexual narrative appears) --not that i'd not play, but it would be certainly a shame.

Still the biggest tragedy of 2024 that this got abandoned. The only saving grace is that it was abandoned after the climax was reached, but seeing Evie get used by everyone like a slut would've been a joy to watch. Oh well, only thing I can hope for is that someone carries on the torch or at least gets inspired by the idea of the game.

I wouldn't worry about it. People in this industry tend to just pack up and move on. I would place my bet she's just doing something else now
