Completely agree with you, Personally i like MBML a little more than Sicae (i enjoyed it a little more) and if i got to choose which VN is to finish first and sooner i would choose MBML, but at this particular point of time and mostly because of the Cliffhanger of the latest Sicae Update while MBML is good story wise is better the next update to be a Sicae Update
Yeah and going back to mbml after the sicae finale works out pretty good. As standalone games i prefer mbml too because of the LI's but i really am a sucker for all the lore in sicae, it enhances my enjoyment of mbml

Just finished Emma's solo ending and holy shit that was intense. I don't think I've ever read such well constructed character development. I still need to play the harem route and the others solo ending from the other girls but I had to play Emma's first since her story was the best one for me.

Seriously, what a great game. I can't put with words what this game makes you feel but it has everything you want a game to have, it makes you feel every kind of emotions.

Amazing job!

Hey, everyone!

I'm back with a little announcement.

Alright, I'm putting this out here so everyone knows what's up and where we're heading next.

So, for those who missed it, we held a patron only poll recently to decide which game we should work on next. Honestly, I did it to answer all those voices that were asking—no, scratch that—demanding another Sicae update. And the response was wild. A lot of you showed up, and I couldn't ignore the chance to see Sicae shine even brighter. Well, the poll's closed now, and guess what? Sicae took the win with a solid 10% lead!

Which... yeah, I totally wasn't expecting, considering how insanely popular MBML has been for years now. I mean, was it the story finally picking up steam? The cliffhanger messing with your heads? Or maybe just the dread of having to wait another year for Sicae if we switched to MBML? I still can't put my finger on it, but hey, I'm not complaining. Not gonna lie, I'm hyped too—really hyped—to see where Sicae takes us next.

So here we are: another Sicae update is on the way to wrap up the first main story arc before we switch gears back to MBML. Yup, we're closing out the Gathering of the Forgotten Names series with Episode 7. Just to be crystal clear, this doesn't mean the game's over—not by a long shot. After Episode 7, we're diving into a whole new series that'll take us even deeper down the rabbit hole that is Sicae.

And with the year almost coming to a close, I really want to take a second to thank all my patrons—especially the OGs who've been rocking with me since day one. You know who you are. Thank you for believing in me and this crazy project of ours. We've come a long way, and I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Now, as for Episode 7, development isn't open just yet—I'm still in my resting phase, trying to recharge. But once things start rolling, I'll be sure to catch you all in the first status report for the release.

That's it for now. Catch you later, everyone!

Start a new game as you need exact points for each pic. Here is a quick list of what each girls points need to be certain story spots. It took a couple tries as some points where unavoidable.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
i did exactly what this post tells me to do multiple times and i have gotten only the last 2 of the missing 4 images. no matter how often i try, the first 2 just wont unlock. also it would be nice to have specified what "3 after kana brings documents" means. does that mean i have to get 3 points after that happens? does that mean the points have to be at 3 after that happens? does that mean i have to collect the 3rd point after that happens?

Welp... the rest of the game is planned to be light hearted. The game only went dark for Moon's arc. Constant slice of life is boring and already getting boring. Moon's arc was a change of pace. Now you cry for the rest of Chapter 2.

I really appreciated the shift in tone in Moon's arc, as it brought a much-needed boost of pace, twists, and dramatic stakes to the story. I also liked how Moon’s character became more humanized and was placed at the forefront of the narrative with these new developments. She's undeniably badass, and her spectacular entrance to save the MC is hard not to admire.

On the other hand, the constant drama in the earlier parts, especially involving Aine, sometimes felt exhausting and, at times, even annoying over the long run. I also agree that MBML and Sicae should part ways.

The crossover elements between the two games, while interesting, were occasionally too pronounced, and the premature revelation of key plot points—especially for Sicae, before they’ve been fully addressed in this other game—can undermine the story's coherence overall (for both games) and detract from the individuality of MBML.

I'd like the two games to follow more distinct directions, with characters and independent events in each, to avoid inconsistencies and premature revelations of crucial information, allowing each game to retain or develop its own identity over the long term.

You know, I don't think I've ever actually read a VN that made me feel like shit for choosing the harem route til now... If I didn't miss out on a bunch of story, I'd be willing to skip some LI's.

There is character growth tied to them so I feel like I gotta go down the route but still... Shit don't feel good lol

please tell me that Shu is going to be romanceable
I think this meme should answer that often repeated question made in the thread:

That aside, the protagonist's relationship with Shu is a friendly yet somewhat exasperating one at times (and the latter's still hung up on Juno, and it seems she'll appear in the story in a later update). Though it'd be interesting to see how the femboy would react to such idea (as in breaking the 4th wall or something):

Hi guys, so I'm finally trying this game out, but got confused about 1 thing. It warns me at start that I should play Sicae to avoid getting confused on plot, but I also noticed that this game was released 2 years before, do I really need to play it at same time, or I can finish the current content of this one, and then try out Sicae afterwards? From what I understood it's the same universe, but besides that, they're essencial to each other? Or simply "helps" with the flow of the story?

Finally, I read on the characters file that Kana is love interest of Sicae, but do her and Georgia also have content on this game? Since we already have Sky and Klara... why not.

Sorry as well if the first question was already answered, but it's quite specific to use the search option. Thanks in advance.

Good luck to the dev on the project btw, while the title made me avoid this game due laziness, the art and environment so far have been quite fun. LI are pretty cute too.

Sicae is the reworked version of Life Changing Choices which is older than MBML. You'll be missing out on some lore with MBML if you don't play Sicae, you won't be familiar with all of the characters you would've been otherwise, might be wondering why a few criminally cute girls aren't in the harem and you'll be missing a few backstories but MBML absolutely can be played and very well understood without playing Sicae.

As for the LIs in this game, click on the button on the top right and click the character list. If a girl isn't there then she isn't a LI, we won't be cucking the Sicae MC.

Oh and despite not needing to play Sicae to understand mostly everything go do it anyway. It needs more fans so NiiChan will update it more regularly :HideThePain:
