Quick questions before I toddle off to d/l and play...
How is the Harem setting in the game? Is is an all-you-can-eat setting where you don't have to turn anyone down, or are there specific paths with only certain girls that can join a harem?
And how frequent are the H-scenes? I enjoy a good story as much as the next person, but prefer frequent indulgence to rare.

The game is a harem game, you aren't really going to miss anything by just accepting everybody, as that's the whole idea. The true ending of the game (when it gets to that point) is pretty clearly going to be the one where MC is in a harem with all the girls on the LI page.
H scenes are frequent enough but the game definitely prioritises story first. Nii is very much telling a story here, and the sex scenes are an addition to that.

Anyone know if taking the engagement with Aine seriously locks out the Harem route/ending? I've played a bit past that, but can rollback if needed. I did play Emma's solo ending prior, and while it was fun it seemed to cut the story short (of course). I'd like to stay on the Harem route through to the end. If the engagement ruins that, I'll happily waste 2-3 hours going back and correcting the mistake.

Question, (and I tried searching but maybe my keywords are not correct and manually searched maybe 200 pages looking) so...
I read this is a sequel to Sicae, which I really like but it seems this game is much further along than Sicae is. Also, that some things might be missed or misunderstood if you play before Sicae.
So my questions are... is Sicae far enough along that this is not an issue now or explained here? How is the sequel father along or here at all before the completion of the prequel game? Are my first 2 questions moot?

Regarding my prior post (and some new comments)...
I forged ahead with Aine's serious engagement path, and found the Harem path lurking behind it, which is good. Don't have to replay many hours of the game in the end. I feel that particular choice should have had a bit more transparency to it, so we don't accidentally lock ourselves into something we didn't want.
HOWEVER... havind said that...
Putting AINE in charge of the HAREM? What the absolute fuck? Of ALL the girls in the room, she's done the LEAST sexual stuff with the MC. She hasn't given herself to him, hasn't done anal with him, hasn't given him a blowjob or even a handjob. She hasn't pleasured him in the least little bit. How could she possibly be suited to decide for a harem, not knowing the first thing about what he likes and what others have done with him? Strictly speaking - she doesn't deserve it.
Total flaw in the game's logic from what I can tell. Gwen was the natural choice - she suggested it, she knows him and what he likes, and she encourages it all. Aine had a poor reaction to any and all of it, and is probably the worst suited to lead a Harem, outside of maybe Moon.
I would have totally shut Aine down (given the choice, which we were not) when she started railing on the other girls at their "meeting". It would have been easy to simply say "Aine, fiancé - you haven't even given yourself to me, what makes you think you have a say in this room?"
Seriously NiiChan - with all due respect, you need to think a little more here. At the very least, Aine should have given herself to the MC first, before spouting off like the queen of the castle. She had no right, even wearing the ring. Makes me wonder if I *shouldn't* rollback and take her less serious path, if it doesn't break the Harem ending. She certainly has zero respect from me at this point - engaged for how many weeks, hasn't done squat with the MC, and tries to pass herself off as "the one"? Ugh.

Are you caught up with the current content? Because while she didn't convince me in that scene, I think in my eyes she's improved a lot and seems like the best candidate nowadays.

Nope, not finished it yet. I'd guess I'm a little over 80% of the way through the full game now. Despite wanting to CTRL through all the flashbacks, I'm giving it it's due first time I play it so I don't skip anything.
Might be nice to hear Aine's improved, but yeah... that scene really rubbed me the wrong way. No way does/did Aine deserve the Harem lead with her current standing as Frigid Fiancé of The Year. I literally would have loved to shut her down with the line I posted above - it just rings true she has zero right to judge anyone at that meeting, without having given herself to the MC first. Major development flaw, IMO.

It isn't, but you'll know why later (I think, I don't know where you are exactly), but I thought it was funny and fitting of Aine a lot.

Well, as hard as it is to play through due to the constant slice-of-life banter and minimal H-scenes, I'm committed to finishing it.
I don't think I'll ever change my mind, at least until/if NiiChan allows us the option to say exactly what I posted in my first evaluation of that meeting. Aine's venom deserved to be shut down, even if the MC wasn't the one determining who leads the Harem. It would be an absolutely valid question to ask Aine.
Had I written the meeting scene, the question I suggested would have been an option. It would have shut Aine up, embarrassed her, and she would have immediately drug the MC up to his room to have sex with him (telling everyone they'd be back down in ~30 minutes). Would have made for a funny and hot segment to the story, and Aine would finally deserve her standing at the meeting.
But I didn't write it - I'm just observing who's done what with the MC sexually, since that's what the Harem is all about. Again - probably won't ever change my mind.

They're a reason for it and for how Aine is reacting.
It will also be even more when you meet her and her mother in the park and when she's... well, what she will do. Aine reaction is pretty funny, spot on and of course, totally how Aine would react about her fears and her feelings too.

I'll withhold judgement until I get further then. But it sounds like, if I understand it, my scene has her going too much against her character, even if it was necessary for her to be "the queen". Perhaps having her had sex a week or more prior would have been a better solution if she was going to be made head of the Harem.
Leaving it as-is means she's doing something she shouldn't, having given the MC zero pleasure at all, despite being his fiancée for weeks. But I've said that before, so I won't again. Seems like it's down to either my character flawed scene, or a story flawed progression for her. My .02
Ain't my game, I can only observe what I do and rate it accordingly. And still not having seen a sex scene with her (other than the MC eating her out), I can firmly say she still has zero respect from me for her meeting outburst. She seems to have completely forgotten that she bullied the MC for a solid year, and he forgave her all of that. She owes him in more ways than one. IMO she should have given herself to him after the real engagement. It would have made the Harem meeting a lot more solid. /shrug

Since it sounds like you've finished current content.. is there any real harm to the Harem by "knocking out of Aine's route"? I just saw the option for it, and I'm really considering it. She just doesn't truly appeal to me anymore, but if the Harem route suffers unduly as a result, I'll just have to keep her in I guess.It will also be even more when you meet her and her mother in the park and when she's... well, what she will do.
