Very surprising to see this is V1.1, rather than an early alpha since it's clearly never been playtested. Otherwise it wouldn't be a constant loop of forced actions with the chance to pet her once every few days and nothing else to do.
From the title and the
male protagonist i initially thought the same thing, but it's apparently one of those "father simulator" games, instead.I dunno, that just sounds like typical sandbox experience to me.

The evolution to flash game animations from the late 2000s
Lots of artists learn it because it's the industry standard for 2d animation, but it's still just animating images.
You can't animate complicated objects like with live2d, but at least most spine animators are relatively skilled and the animations don't look like dogshit.
