I'm getting a lot of errors as well, checked out the Patron site, apparently the Developer has gotten some error feedback from his $20 Patrons on this release and has fixed some of them, asking them to download again.
His latest topic is called "Fixed it!" but is only readable by $20 Patrons, which I'm sadly not, so we can only hope the fixed version will soon be uploaded for our less costly pleasure?

I tried to get around this when following the slightly old walk-through (for 0.50) by inserting the value

tren=0

in the console, and was able to get pass this error. However, doing so seemed to screw up the rest of the game. I went back to the library to see how the girl liked the book, and the question to ask about the book wasn't there, and choosing the other options reverted her outfit back to her bitchy snide self.

Yeah, I'll wait for a bug fix, or maybe insert the tren value at the start of the game and work my way back there again.

I haven't gotten the console to work yet for me on my Mac but the cheat codes do work - shift-W and then enter the three letter codes shown on the cheat jpg listed on the previous page

Instead of going to bed (I get up at 3:45AM to get ready for work, it's now 11:08PM.. Grr) as I should have, I restarted the game, and the first thing I did was issue the code:

tren=0

and replayed right through the get gym membership portion as well as talk to the library girl about the gifted book just fine without any complications. I'll have to try getting further tomorrow.
