¿Cholo?....¿"El hijo de Superman" ? ("the son of Superman; local comic strip in an Urug. newspaper where "Cholo" is a guy next door with super powers satiric series like "Mafalda" or "Mordillo")
I just check out games that have tags I like and don't ever look at the reviews. I know pretty quickly if a game and I are gonna get along, and bandwidth isn't an issue for me.I'm sure a lot of people would do that. I personally would not. I would give both equal consideration as to whether or not I would try them. Sometimes it's just hard to find something you like (depending on the tag you're looking for) and you need try out the 1 or 2 star rated game. I've found some that I like that way a few times.

Tags are important. Helpful with negative selection. If there's something I don't like, I don't touch the game. Graphics are a positive choice. When I start playing, what matters is how the action develops.I just check out games that have tags I like and don't ever look at the reviews. You know the rules
I just read it because of your comment and.... well...looks like I lost 2 minutes of my life reading his nonsense
How about letting this whole feud go? MC could have said it was not his business to help the only family he knows, being a handy man for the whole household or hold the hand for any and all the girls who would need to feel welcomed and cuddled and settled in - all into his family. But in the end fans posting realistic reviews would slowly drown out those malicious reviews and give those users who rely on reviews when deciding what games to try a more honest picture of what a game is.
This is not a place to ask for reasonableness. Haven't you learned that by now? It protects those that are unreasonable and punishes those that try to address the situation. And for the stupidest reason. It says "Don't debate review rating in the game thread".
Dear moderators: No one was debating the rating. We debated about his/her words. Either you do something to clarify your own rules (add something like "reviews are like Voldemort and can't be talked about. You devs should accept the lies someone vomits about your game" (and I'm not talking about that specific review)) or attach to them (don't delete posts talking about the review and NOT the rating). It's hard for us to comply with a rule that doesn't exist.
Or you can give us tools to answer those lies in the review section.
Thanks.
That's an insult to monkeys. As I've come to realize, after a bit of a heated discussion with a mod, they basically make up their own reasons to delete stuff they don't like. While they base their own decisions on the actual rules, they override that by how they personally interpret the rules.
It's like givin a monkey the power of editing.

"Your review shouldn't be solely focused on your feelings about a specific genre or detail of the game."
So nothing there that says you can't contradict other reviews. [Not suggesting ad hominem attacks, just corrections.]

But of course that doesn't mean you won't have your review deleted for "violating the review rules" anyways.
The whole situation reminds me of police departments without an Internal Affairs division. A small group of individuals get to decide what is truth/reality on this site, but who holds them accountable?? You know, there absolutely ought to be an expression about the relationship between power and corruption...

Just an FYI regarding the last part of your review:So nothing there that says you can't contradict other reviews. [Not suggesting ad hominem attacks, just corrections.]

As someone who grew up in both North Tijuana (better known in the US as "southern San Diego") and the greater Los Angeles area, that was my assumption, too. It has a pretty specific meaning here in the US (it's not at all a derogatory term, if anyone was confused).Hmm I assumed it was the US slang usage, but maybe it's referential.
Most of the time, I don't even notice there is a review score on the games....I'm sure a lot of people would do that. I personally would not. "Cholo" is here in the south cone (Arg.Uru,Chile) just a nickname, in Peru, it is the way how they call the Indegenous, depending on the tone and context if it is derogatory or not,Hmm I assumed it was the US slang usage, but maybe it's referential.
Yeah, it's more a subculture amongst primarily Mexican descended folks in the Southwestern US, for us here."Cholo" is here in the south cone (Arg.Uru,Chile) just a nickname, in Peru, it is the way how they call the Indegenous, depending on the tone and context if it is derogatory or not,
As I've said before on more than one occasion, CyberNazis gotta CyberNazi... C'est la vie...Wow we just got hit by a thread Nuke it seems
I feel a bit brutalized. No, not even Vaseline will help.
Having an opinion, is fine and dandy. It is even recommended.
When you impose a gag on pointing inconsistencies, lies, misinterpretations or plain malevolence, the opinion loses all importance and/or relevance. Suffocating dissent, is quite good as a means to create dissatisfaction, disinterest and apathy. It is no longer a discourse.
Each day it becomes less interesting to even bother...
