I'm really trying my hardest to stay engaged in this game. It was one of my go to games (Team Scarlett). There are so many LI's and the story is kind of losing my attention. Maybe I should just wait a couple-a few months and see if I can get back into it?

The story is losing your attention? I dunno. I've read worse books. I've read worse AVN's. I've had to endure worse films. Maybe you are not good at reading? Maybe you are looking for something else? Maybe you just aren't the target public of this?

I can't see what waiting a few months will do... the game is still the same then that it is now.

Yh the screenshot is from "Once in a lifetime" which is one of the greatest AVNs I've ever played, that"s a screenshot i took as a meme reaction, My reaction was just a joke. loving the game btw, needed a more happy game after playing others that make me hate myself for making choices

I can only think of one reason to wait months to download updates, and that's if someone actually doesn't like the other girls. Even so, you'd (A4R) probably want to set an annual reminder. Then you might have enough content to satisfy you each time.

But a better option, if you're no longer really enjoying the game, is to not try so hard. There's so many options on this site. Find something that keeps making you happy and let the rest go. You'll be happier in the long run. You can still set that annual notification and see if it's worth it next year.

Considering that this game has a whole harem of LI and as such has to divide it's time between them you might indeed want to wait several updates if you only like a few of them. Knowing Trope you will still have plenty more to see from Scarlett.

Bit harsh don't you think? To me it's a reasonably fair question for someone who seems to want to like the game and is simply asking for a reason to keep engaged with it.
Please remember that not everyone plays this as full harem. So if you haven't seem any major scenes for your favourite LI for a few updates (which is understandable, Trope can't do black magic and give every LI a scene in every update after all, at least I don't think he can..) you're bound to lose a bit of interest.

Scarlett was one of the big focuses in 0.22 (story) and 0.23 (lewd), so it's logical that other girls get the focus for a while.
I would follow Elhemeer advice and let some updates pass, and then return if Scarlett is the only girl that interests you, she won't be the focus for a while, although she will feature in the updates (yesterday I tested a small but meaningful scene with her). Or even abandon the game and keep the good memories it provided .

Well, this VN has the "HAREM" tag! What does it mean: You can have a relationship with more than one LI. I personally divide this "harem" tag into three major areas:

1. Harem as an Option

Now I can't stop thinking about this, so I have to respond.

Based on your classifications, since this game wasn't made harem as a mere additional option; nor is the game a must-play harem game, this game would have to be tagged as Full Harem, because it has -- what could be considered -- a "confusing number of LIs" ... but that ignores the fact that:

A) The story is intentionally being written to be anything from celibate to All-In and pretty much everything in-between, with zero "can't say no" characters -- and that's how it was conceived.​

B) The core story will be told regardless of who you take as an LI. Shoot, the core story will be told regardless of if you choose to play the Family or Clone path too. So that's double the effort, since the two paths have unique elements.​

On top of that, there are people who will start a game that says it's harem because it says it's harem and be upset that the main LI is the main LI and unavoidable, but will still play 'cause they want "everyone else" even if the "everyone else" gets less time than the main LI, regardless of how many other LIs there are or how much story is in the game.

So while I don't think there's anything wrong with your three categories as a starting point, I think they're too narrow to represent this game, most harem games that do well, nor would many players tastes fit well in any of them.

IMHO, that's one of the problems of harem games. The Main LI(s). If the MC is in a relationship with X ladies, labeling one (or several) as Main LI(s) is a "disrespect" to the others. It means that the MC "can live" without "the others" but not without the "Main LI(s)". It makes the MC look dishonest with "the others".

I think that forcing anyone on the player is a bad idea in itself. I can't imagine forcing the most controversial (by age, by looks, or by weight/height) LIs in My Dorm into any player. Someone can like a harem, but doesn't need to like every proposed LI. To be a bit extreme, and cruel, imagine forcing Olga on every player.

I won't say my approach is better because it has its own shortcomings, but it gives the player the choice about which girl is in his harem. And that was very important to me as a player (even if I chose everyone).

* Debbie should be more muscular and be a dominatrix.
* Kim has vitiligo.
* Kate is overweight (there's a choice to change it).
* Kate still hasn't lost weight (after less than 15 days).
* Meemaw is old (it's hard being the grandmother of an adult if you are 25).
* There are non-white girls/The game needs a bestiality tag because the MC fucks non-white girls.
* Too many LIs.
* The 6 remaining students haven't arrived yet (adding more LIs).
