You know some people will complain about anything. Some of the "funniest" complaints:
* 18-20y.o. girls are immature.
* Redhead "Martha" (Marzia).
* Martha isn't a redhead with balloon boobs (she's a MILF, so she needs big boobs).
* Debbie is too masculine.
* Debbie should be more muscular and be a dominatrix.
* Kim has vitiligo.
* Kate is overweight (there's a choice to change it).
* Kate still hasn't lost weight (after less than 15 days).
* Meemaw is old (it's hard being the grandmother of an adult if you are 25).
* There are non-white girls/The game needs a bestiality tag because the MC fucks non-white girls.
* Too many LIs.
* The 6 remaining students haven't arrived yet (adding more LIs).
* Olga and/or Dr. Milk aren't LIs (adding even more LIs).
* Lisa/Kim/Kate/Debbie/Amanda are slow burn.
* Girls jump on the MC's dick for no reason (if they don't, look above).
* Too much romance.
* The time you spent on Zeus's scenes could be used to develop an LI.
* The MC is ugly and looks old.
* The MC doesn't show his face (if he does, look above).
* I want all the girls to be shaved. I don't care if the Yeti defines part of one LI personality.
* The updates take too long/The dev is a milker.
* The updates don't have enough content/are short. (The funniest part about this one is that they compare My Dorm with games that update once per year with 70,000 words and 20,000 renders (animations included). In the last year, My Dorm has released 217,499 words and 76,804 renders (animations included) in 8 updates).


I could continue, but you have already read most of the complaints on this forum (some, especially the spoilered one, are from other sites).

I can only agree with all the points you've listed. You're a nasty, bad, and creatively inflexible developer and milker who doesn't deserve to be followed!

And these accusations made me dizzy. Some are simply stupid. (I know we have the society we have.)
But I don't like it like everyone is trying to transform the game in their own way by pulling in their own direction.
Only chaos will come out of it.

For the most part, I really like the game, even with some occasional cringe dialogue(like the whole drawn out rant about leakers and board mods, whle they may be an issue, the whole long 4th wall break was a bit much) but one thing made me actually mad, a bit. No jokesplaning, please...the et tu joke does not need explanation, if someone is not aware of the reference, they could easily look it up. It just kills any humor there is, by explaining it in different colored text.

This is only really an issue if the dev bends to the whims of complainers. I've seen some that have tried to do this, and the games either ended up abandoned quickly after or turned into absolute messes. You will never please everyone, so even trying to do so is a fools errand.

Don't think we'll have that problem here, thankfully. Trope95 seems to have a pretty clear vision of what they want this game to be and has stuck to it thus far.

You know how it works. Each stick has two ends. To repel this, I could write that the bushes are not enough, to balance Zeus you need to add a dog and racist comments are disgusting.

Clichecita and My Residence are there for several reasons. One of them is to use it to laugh at myself and to comment on real-world events surrounding the game. There's no 4th wall breaking, since it was established early on that both Debbie and the MC play AVNs. It's as part of their life as part of the life of any My Dorm player (but My Residence updates faster).

Each time someone has spoken in a different language, it was translated or explained (twice so far, I think), so it's not only explaining a joke. The "et tu" reference is known in Western culture, not so much in other cultures and, fortunately, My Dorm's community is global. I don't know if an Indonesian or Kenyan guy would cacht it, so better to continue translating/explaining when someone talks a language different from English.

This is only really an issue if the dev bends to the whims of complainers. I've seen some that have tried to do this, and the games either ended up abandoned quickly after or turned into absolute messes. You will never please everyone, so even trying to do so is a fools errand.

I have accepted ideas and suggestions from the community when they don't derail the story or they are better than mine (Eva's bush, Scarlett's reveal, adding Maddie and Megan as full LIs, etc.). But there are future plot points that need some events to happen in more or less a specified way (from the introduction of a new girl to how an event develops) and I won't change those.

As you say, it's impossible to please everyone, so any change over the initial story will have people liking it and people hating it.

Not every complaint has been listed, but there were several about "too many redheads/not enough redheads". And the complaint about Mark's dad jokes hasn't been listed because it's a justified complaint . The guy should have flaws after all (besides his initial naivety and his face).

I was more referring to people who complain online about some aspect of the game they hate for some reason (Kims vitiligo for example) and changing it in some knee jerk response. Which thankfully you haven't done.

I think a lot of brains think better than one (and players usually know more about AVNs than I). So, (cautiously) accepting suggestions is a no-brainer in this case.
If I were to remove everything from the game that someone has ever complained about, My Dorm would consist only of Norah's house (yes, someone complained about Martha's house being in too many AVNs) without any girls or the MC (every LI has received criticism at least once). Not even Jamaal or Zeus would have made it into the game. The game would have been called "My Desert" (or "No One's Desert" ).

They should all be gingers, they should all have Norah's boobs and assa, Amanda's or Eva's abs, Debbie's height, Eileen's hairstyle, Lisa's face...
