I never played BaDIK, so it isn't. Any resemblance is pure coincidence. I played Acting Lessons, though, so if BaDIK has anything in common with it, perhaps something leaked unconsciously.I've got a feeling that this game inspired of Being a Dik
Gladly. You're wrong.Correct me if I wrong
Maybe because the Dorm atmosphere reminds me a lot to BaDIK, that's why I say thatI never played BaDIK, so it isn't. Any resemblance is pure coincidence. I played Acting Lessons, though, so if BaDIK has anything in common with it, perhaps something leaked unconsciously.
From all that I heard, in BaDIK you should choose among certain girls, and in My Dorm you can go full harem. That's a big difference in my book.
Just out of curiosity, which similarities do you find between both games? As I said, I never played BaDIK, so please don't say Samantha's story is similar to X girl, because I won't know who X girl is. Well, you can say it for the benefit of other players, obviously.
It's really nothing like the dorms in BaDIK, or even the frat houses/sorority house there. Even if it were, and the dev had played the other game, that wouldn't be taking inspiration from BaDIK, it would just be two games that have a similar setting, which is commonly seen in the real world (and in countless other games).Maybe because the Dorm atmosphere reminds me a lot to BaDIK, that's why I say that
But it's rare to found anyone didn't play BaDIK yet!

Not even close. This is not anywhere near like being a dik.I've got a feeling that this game inspired of Being a Dik
Which game your avatar pic from?Not even close. This is not anywhere near like being a dik.
Acting lessons and BADIK are two different type of games. The similarity between BADIK and My Dorm is there is a dorm that's it. There is no other similarity. Keep doing your game yes GH is similar but they are still different. All I can say is more Scarlett pweaseThere are several reasons for it:
- I haven't played a game in over three years. Every free minute my full-time job leaves me goes to developing My Dorm.
- Even if I had the time to play, I wouldn't. It's easy to see something good in another game and, as a dev, think "I could adapt/improve/use it in my game". My Dorm has been compared to Grandma's House (another game I didn't play) a lot. If I played it, I'm sure something would leak, making it even more similar. I even scrapped planned things because someone said "You could do X. GH has it". I don't want My Dorm to become a poor man's version of any game.
- I discovered AVNs some months before starting My Dorm, and I played very few of them before deciding to start my own game. Most of them were finished when I tried them. The ones that weren't (Leap of Faith, for example), I didn't finish them.
- From what I heard, BaDIK has some things I don't like in a game:
* It is tagged as a sandbox, and it's one of the things I didn't like when I played.
* You get to know X girls, and then you should decide who you end up with. Another thing I didn't like.
* Slow release schedule.
* And some more I can't remember.
- Acting Lessons left me a sour taste, so I wasn't eager to try another game by the same dev who had the issues above.

I liked Acting Lessons! I didn't like the ending, though.Wow you didn't like Acting Lessons?!
it was on my list to play
anyway, your game looks cool, and it was on my list
I will try it
sorry for my shit English cuz it's not my first language
Good luck
Have to ask which ending did you get. Loved the ending with the ex girlfriend. Sorry for the off topic.I liked Acting Lessons! I didn't like the ending, though.
Looking at it with perspective, it's great as storytelling goes, but it wasn't enjoyable for me.
And don't worry about your English, it's perfectly fine. I'm not a native English speaker, so I'm not picky when it comes to languages. Not even in my first language(s). Whoever tries and does good enough to understand and be understood in a language that is not their first one, it's enough for me.
I thought you are American, British or CanadianI liked Acting Lessons! I didn't like the ending, though.

I'd like to largely agree with the previous speaker. I really enjoy playing both your VN and GH. Yes, on the surface, VNs seem identical, but in the details, they differ significantly. I have never, and will never, compare the two VNs. I always consider them separately!There are several reasons for it:
