Why? Just think like that info isn't canon and play the patched version if it's the one you like the most. :)
i will try, but it was always like this for me when i didnt know about the patches back in the day even when i think "this aint canon" it still kinda fuck with me XD, i played almost full season 2 with the clone version :/

I understand where you're coming from but Trope works hard to make sure that both stories are fleshed out and make sense.

This isn't the typical landlady AVN. There are people here that play the clones and that is canon to them. There are people here that play the family version and it's canon to them as well. Both shoes fit.

NoPhotoBob ; totally comfirm what Jadepaladin said, I play the Clone version, and it is my favorite, more because the I cest AVN are so numerous on this site, and I find it refreshing when we have one with no I cest, rather than there is a difference in the story.
The I cest on the other had the dialoges are more tender and show much more care toward each other. (messured against the clone version ofc)

Think of it as two different games instead of a patched/unpatched game. In reality, it's how I wrote it, like two independent games that share a story but not a backstory. And that backstory has relevance over the current events.
You played Season 2 Clone version and now you have the chance to play Season 2 Family version.

Sorry if this question was asked a thousand times but i dont get it, so are martha and nora not his real mother and aunt? they are clones? Based on the information, his "real" mother died? Whats the point of the patch then?
Just to touch on the other bit, if I read the question right, Martha and Norah are not clones, in any version. The "family tree" for the Clones version is here (spoiler just in case):

Trope95 - was there a version of this for the Family version somewhere?
