Even the Latinos have problems with that. There's a Spanish (female) tiktoker who 'interwiews' south/central American guys (mostly in their 20s) and starts the interview with "would you date a Latina?". The answer is always (in the released videos) in the lines of "Of course". Then she asks "Then would you date me?" And the guys are usually puzzled going from the "you aren't a Latina" to the usual "you stole our gold and now you want to steal our identity". She then explains, with a lot of patience, why Spaniards, Portuguese, French, Italian, etc. are the real Latinos.
Most of the guys end up puzzled. Some of them go unpolite or even rabid (usually the "you stole our gold" type).

Btw, Portuguese are Hispanic. Hispania covered the full peninsula. Not Spanish, though.
Speaking as a Brazilian, I understand the essence of your comment. However, when it comes to sharing a common geographical heritage, it would be more accurate to say that the Portuguese and Spanish are Iberians (a region that, in addition to these countries, includes Gibraltar, Andorra, and, if I'm not mistaken, some regions of France).

What really irritates me sometimes is that although much of South America was colonized by the Spanish, Brazil was colonized by the Portuguese, but pop culture in general always portrays the entire continent as Spanish speakers, forgetting that we have Suriname which speaks Dutch and Guyana where English is spoken.

We consider all Latin American peoples to be brothers, especially Argentines, with whom we have a love-hate relationship, especially when it comes to soccer. Our national championship boasts great players from Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, and Ecuador. Still, I must be self-critical in saying that Brazilians often seek more inspiration from Europe and the USA than from their neighbors, which leads other Latin American countries to turn up their noses at Brazilians, with some reason.

Well, the real Latinos should be the people around Rome (Lazio, where the word Latin, and so Latino, comes from). If you asked any Spaniard 30 years ago (before we got a lot of South American immigration, and most young people have changed their view on the word) why we are so rogue, they would have answered "Porque somos latinos" (because we are Latinos).

For us, everyone who speaks a Romance language is a latino. And not only for us, Spaniards. From Wikipedia:

But as English is a bitch, if you go to the Cambridge dictionary...

So the Latinos not living in the US aren't Latinos according to that definition (there is another in the Cambridge American Dictionary that includes them, though)

Iberia doesn't include parts of France. From 1641 to 1652, there were parts of Iberia ( ) under personal union with the Kingdom of France, but was never part of France (at least after the 9th Century, if France could be called France, then instead of Frankia).

Among the languages spoken in South America, you forgot French in French Guiana, and some indigenous languages (some of them co-official, like Quechua and Aymara in Peru).

Words are weird and evolve with time. But the Latin in Latin America has it's origin in the Latin in Latin Europe. So you are as Latinos as us.

I thought it was a legendary World Cup, especially for us... "Maracanazo" hehehe
Maracanazo is called the achievement in the match Uruguay Brasil (we love Brasilians) and only from the Uruguayan point of view, referencing that a "nobody" could Humble a giant in soccer like Brasil.
Not the entire World Cup

Calling a Portuguese, "Hispanic" is a good way to get a black eye. Free of charge even... LOL We do it when you guys come here and say "Gracias", imagine if you call us "Hispanics", oh boy...

Obrigado, meu irmão!
(I was going to say the same thing about not calling Portuguese and Brazilians "Hispanic")

Special Render (65) - Eva - Free Edition
Here’s the second Special Render in the board games cycle. Chess and Eva.
She doesn’t want to be black or white, so she is becoming gold. She doesn't want to be a pawn in anyone’s game, so she breaks the rules. She wants to break free of the chains that her raising and training have shackled her with, so she will abandon the board when she finishes cleaning everything. Only two more rows to arrive at the end of the board and become the queen she deserves to be. The Queen of Hearts. Yes, I know, a different game and a different tale.
The release of this render means tomorrow is the day for the release of the game for Emma’s Tier.
Enjoy the FullHD (4K for subscribers) render!

However, I note the absence of the necklace for new experiences.

#5 in the John Carter of Mars series. #1 of which is Princess of Mars. They've held up more-or-less OK, but after the first few it gets to be a bit of a slog. :)
They are completely unknown in Italy. Never heard of them. But incredibly... And I repeat, incredibly... in Italy we know pineapple pizza. I would have preferred to know that saga.

$1.95? Damn, that was awhile ago.... :)
Damn, I had to go check....... I have it. It's in storage, but I have it. LOOOOOOOOOL Not sure I read it, I once bought a large pack of books from my wife's uncle that dealt in antiques, by buying whole estates and sorting through it. He had a large amount of old books that he had to get rid off, he made me a deal I couldn't ignore. Now I have 5 large boxes of books that I'll maybe never read or have space for in my overloaded shelves. I made a database and put them in storage.

LOOOOOOOOOOOL

I have the Portuguese edition, obviously.

Peace :D
