Yes, they suspended it because it's related to an NSFW game and I have appealed. The title of the page says it clearly: It's to fund an SFW version of My Dorm. I hope they say something soon. It's been some days, so thanks for reminding me. I just re-appealed.

I would be very interested in this version because I have nephews and nieces who love romance simulators and adventures. It would be interesting to introduce them to this type of game, as what they usually play often comes from Japan.

Almost more likely to mix up Mexican names for South American names; but yea, unless you're into linguistics -- or dead languages in particular -- most likely not on her curriculum.Imagine her designing it, and Dungeon Mastering it!
Although the design is tricky. She is into STEM, not History or languages, so she can (will) mess it up with some Latin (from Rome, not South America
I don't know how much Latin studies an HS student in the US, if any, but with what was studied in Spain the only thing you can do is make some Romans roll in their graveyards.

In my time, remember I'm old as dust, Latin was mandatory in 2nd grade High School (15y.o.) for everyone. Then you wouldn't see Latin for the rest of your education if you chose the STEM or the Socio-economic paths. You only see it again in the Humanistic (getting ready for degrees in History, Philosophy, etc.) and Social paths (for degrees in Law, Medicine, etc., and for people allergic to maths).
I said "my time". Just as a clarification, Latin was already a dead language then

Two different HSs on opposite sides of the US in the early 00s and Latin wasn't even an elective option. My oldest child's HS currently, doesn't have it as an option either.

I grew up Catholic, so not only did I have to learn Latin in HS, I had to learn it for the church also. Of course that was many many many many years ago. I am older than dirt I think.

my HS only offered Spanish as a foreign language, and the teacher had been a missionary in some central american country (forgot which being that the class was over 17 years ago), though I did have Latin in either my 7th or 8th grade (age 12/13-13/14, years 2001/02 or 2002/03) and that had been for biology

In my time at HS (starting in '86, HS then lasted for 3+1 years, the last year being optional and only useful if you wanted to go to college) we had different language programs:
Spanish and Catalan during the 4 years (4 hours/week each). In other places in Spain, Catalan was replaced with the local language (Euskera or Galician) or replaced by other topics.
Foreign language, to choose between English and French, during the 4 years (4 hours/week)
Latin was mandatory in 2nd grade (15-16 y.o.) for everyone (3 hours/week IIRC). From 3rd grade on you had to choose between 4 branches:
STEM: No Latin (that was mine)
Socio-Economic: Latin as an option
Socio-Humanistic: Latin as an option
Humanistic: Choose between Latin and classical Greek. The other one was optional.
HS in Spain has changed a lot since I was there. Now they start younger and do 4+2 years (the first 4 being mandatory for every Spanish kid, until they are 16). Latin is not mandatory anymore for all that I know, but every HS should offer it to the 15-16y.o. students as an option. In the last 2 years of HS the 4 branches from above are now... 8 I think, but I'm not too sure how it works.
To keep the post on topic, I can't see Daphne or Scarlett choosing Latin as an option if that means rejecting a scientific topic.
