Why those split bye season would not make more sense two just combined them into a single game
Android has a hard limit of 2GB per apk, so when the game arrives there, I split it in a new season.
I fine-tuned the compression of the images so 2GB for Android or compressed versions means 5GB for uncompressed PC/Mac versions. Free accounts on downloading sites usually have a 5GB/day limit.
People with unstable or slow internet connections prefer to download 5GB for Season 1, store it, 5GB for Season 2, store it, and 1-5 GB for Season 3 (ongoing) over downloading 11-15 GB every time an update in Season 3 is published.

Imagine someone who started playing the game in the first chapter Windows Version. For Season 1 he downloaded 17 evergrowing updates that arrived to 5GB. If I didn't split it up in Season 2, he would download every update of Season 2 (8) with the 5GB of Season 1 included (40 extra GB over 8 updates). For Season 3, he would download 4 updates (and counting) with 10 extra GB (Season 1 and Season 2) each time, so 40 extra GB once again. 80 GB that, with the split system, he avoids to download.

Others have already answered politely, so I'll just be direct: don't whine about stuff you are getting for free !

Especially for something as ridiculous as complaining that posted files are made easier and more accessible for more people around the world who don't all have limitless bandwidth (or even reliable/consisten connectivity).
