OK, even more strangeness to report. Started a new Steam game but tried different choices from those I made in the old version.
Still no achievement unlocks until the cafe scene with Nora, then like 8 popped at the same time, but they were the opposite of the choices I had made in that game so far. They seemed to be reading my choices from a different play. Also got the monk achievement, which is for rejecting everyone through the entire game. I noticed that like 70% of players have this, so that trigger is wrong.
After this scene it started to give achievements based off my actual choices, and it also stopped letting me Ctrl skip through content. So there is definitely some interference from having the old version of the game on my PC, unless it's something else making my cheevos go crazy.
Finally, I turned off Walkthrough in Steam version, but it was still showing up for some choices, which seemed a bit strange.

If I were doing it, I'd uninstall any versions you had installed in the past (both Steam and standalone), exit Steam, then delete the %appdat%\RenPy\My_Dorm\ folder for the game (just move it elsewhere to keep a backup if you want). Then I'd re-launch Steam and re-install the game, and play from scratch (Day 1). Steam *should* pickup on it at that point. It might even help to try installing to a different drive (not C ) as Steam make different Libraries on separate drives.

I think it's a Steam thing. One player wrote me while I was sleeping

As you can see, it "fixed" itself, since I didn't do anything. I'm not at that level of developing where I can fix things while sleeping and without uploading a patch. :ROFLMAO:

Well, that monk achievement is still messed up for everyone. 70% of players definitely should not have it. I rejected no one and I still got it. ;)
The description makes it sound like you should only get it after a full celibate playthrough anyway.

It might be triggering incorrectly before any LIs are taken. Hard to know unless we're Trope.

It was broken in the first release. It triggered instead of the "Full Harem (Season 1)" achievement. It's now fixed.

# Special Render (Halloween) - (Slim) Kate's Nightmare

Kate's been having a recurrent nightmare since she decided to do more sports.
She has slimmed down and she's attacked by everything she can't eat anymore if she wants to keep her new shape.
For those of you who chose to keep her current shape, your Kate's nightmare is double, since slimming down wasn't in her plans.
Why is she in the middle of the night, in yellow lingerie, in a cemetery? Well, you can't ask for dreams to make sense, right?
When she wakes up from her nightmare, she goes down to the kitchen to eat something while the scary nightmare fades from her memories. If you chose her to slim down, she eats an avocado toast. If not, maybe a couple of doughnuts.
