I just like to see, whether the leak protection is as the dev says and it'd be a fun little challenge to find the different images.

Since it sounded like fun and I wanted to see how difficult it really is (didn't do any programming in a while), I made a small program that can go through two folders (e.g. two /game folders of two copies of MEL) and list all differences.

I don't have access to different downloads from the same batch (e.g. two copies from different Silver subscribers), but in this thread you can download both version 10.01 (which got leaked?) and 10.02 (free version from Patreon). At least the images in both versions are 100% identical. Most/all of the rpyc files are different. Though, that is to be expected since I compared two different versions.

The comparison of those two versions in itself doesn't say much. I have no idea, how renpy works and how the rpyc files get compiled.

I'd need two different copies of the game from the same tier to get any information, whether / how copies are individualized.

You can deconcompile the renpy files using unren and compare after.
Im pretty sure stuff like winmerge already goes through folders and compares each file...

WinMerge is exactly the kind of program I tried to emulate - just way more simplistic. So yeah, you could find any differences in images or other files very easily with the help of WinMerge. And if the rpyc files are different, you could use unren after to see what the changes are.
However, I wouldn't trust unren to decompile all files faithfully. You might be able to put some kind of identifier within an rpyc file that wouldn't be visible after decompilation.

Looks like, despite the extra time taken before public release, not all of the bugs were eradicated from ep 11. I've had the episode ending before I completed all the bookmarks. I still had some events not triggered in the "?" menu. Not many, apparently, I've seen most of them, but still.
I hope that the cutscene with the fire and the aftermath with the thugs, police and the hospital was really supposed to be the ending, because I am not so sure now

Since we are on Ep11 here the question will go unanswered I believe.
But in my opinion, the game is easy if you have patience and read the clues so maybe look at the hints, backtrack and try again?
