I'm gonna ask for a save because the dev really enjoy making platform fucking suck

I just can't with the part where you have to fucking climb the wall and shit, why did he make it so you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN if you fail even one jump

im not sure how to transfer data on my forest home but i have a maxed save on 2.35
here's the data folder if thats all thats needed

lol, the main dl link is the 0.08 version and i didn't realize that is like, a super alpha version with no graphics. I was wondering if it was some kind of creative decision to just have a blank platformer with a naked sprite for 10 min. Haha.

Why is this area so damn hard? A single mistake and I have to traverse it all over again, the rest of the map wasn't nearly as difficult. Every time I face the vertical pillars with thorns on top I lose health, because I don't know if it's even possible to get to the other side without touching the top. I have double jump and wall slide, but then I reach an area where no doublejump is enough to reach any walls. Am I missing my own skill or in-game ones for this?
This is 2.35.

anyone got a save for either versions? getting stuck inside a platform in the tutorial and cannot progress...

This is 2.35.
So assuming I remember right, there are a few floating platforms you can easily slide down then down. The ones with thorns on top need to be double jumped over. Once you get to the shorter floating platforms, you will have waaaay less time to execute your wall jump. After the second one, you should be able to just double jump left and you'll be on solid ground again.

If you fail, just get K.O'd. Running back from the house is quicker than navigating from the bottom.

Can someone explain why 2.35 starts out with an intro cinematic while 2.5 starts with you naked, no explanation and gets me stuck trying to move to the third map on the right? Image of what's going on in spoiler.

Update: Did a search in this thread because I figured other people had the same issue and sure enough, other people have and came up with a work around. It’s definitely different from the version on DLSite, but the premise is pretty much the same: kill, build, don’t get fucked to death.

It is really infuriating to see what this game has become.

First version had 10 high-quality animations and randomly-generated levels, it was already close to perfect, ChimeraZak could just have continued to focus on his amazing art and by now we'd have like 50 enemies.

Instead, he went into a development schizophrenia, constantly changing vision and rebuilding everything from scratch.

First, he decided to redo all the heroine sprites even though the initial ones were fine, whatever.
Next update he decided to add a tutorial section that wasn't needed. Then came long platforming sections, housebuilding, tons of new mechanics, gigantic levels.
New update, oh suddenly the heroine is now a futa.

Over the years the game went from being a short fappable game to being a buggy Metroidvania with immense, empty levels. Because of all these new mechanics, he kept rewriting everything, switching engine, then moving back to the original engine. Then suddenly we announce a new side project. Then suddenly we switch yet again to a new engine for a Steam release. Then suddenly, we cancel the Steam release and now Forest Home is the side project, even though the latest version is almost unplayable due to bugs. We now have version 2.50 available, but the recommended version is 2.35, and the active version is 0.8. It is unbelievable.

To this day, version 1.3 of this game is still by far superior in terms of fappability and gameplay than everything that was released in the next 4 years.

The worst part is that this developer is not a scammer, nor lazy. He IS genuinely one of the best, he just completely changes his mind every week. At this point, he has legit worked thousands of hours on this game, but 99% of it was put in the trash.
