I have to disagree. The interlude with Sunshine and rain is obviously not satisfying for Vivian. She appears awkward and has to be constantly dragged - in complete contrast to her relation to the Boss, where she is eager and attentive all the time. Reason among aothers: she needs a person, a dominant character. It's a mistake (and falls for liberal propaganda) to think that Vivian's "needs" are primarily sexual. If so, that escapade with Sunshine may have helped (although not "healthy" in my opinion whatever that means). Her needs come frome deficits in her characer and personality development, a crisis, a craving for validation. Sex is just a means to achieve that. It's a liberal fallacy to conflate that.

Largely agree with all this. The evening with Sunshine and Rain was integral to the development we got from Vivian as a character here. It wasn't just the random sidequest some are making it out to be, that had no place in the story and could and should be removed. Not only was it a beautiful bit of writing, and a hot couple of scenes, but it helped shape those scenes that followed as well.

For example, I don't think Vivian would have had the gentle sex and cuddles with Christian if she hadn't had that deep conversation and exploration of her feelings and requirements with Sunshine.

We will know more about Vivian in the early moments of 3 chapter when she gets home and faces Hutch. Either she tells Hutch she is moving to Christians or they are in on a plan together. I am curious if we do see more setups from Christian if Vivian is pimped out again... Not sure if that would be part of 3.

I'm gonna go with the, she's gonna go home and tell Hutch she's gonna live with Christian for a while option personally.

Wasn't there a screenshot that SC linked of Viv wearing nothing but an apron while doing the dishwasher at Christians house? Or was that just a non-canon one, because if it is canon that is for sure the type of shit she's going to be doing from now on.

Let's face it, Hutch is PROBABLY just a character that is here purely, to suffer...So he's gonna lose Viv early on in the chapter, wallow around, be a passive fuck, have it shoved in his face that his wife is cucking tf out of him with anyone and everyone that she feels like, at every opportunity. And then just spend the rest of the story being the emotional punching bag of the cast.

I would love for him to do something major and give us some kinda juicey twists and drama. But I just think he's here to be the victim of the "darker emotional" story that SC is telling. And that just makes me sad...

Man could legit have SUCH an upgrade in Alison if he just ACTED AND DID SOMETHING.

To the reason I'm texting here did anyone else get the feeling Hutch was getting his Johnson sucked while talking to his wife on the phone? The scene right after she texts the boss she's done with him. I swear with how that conversation was paced from his side it seemed weird. Are we really sure Hutch hasn't been cheating this whole time as well?

Also Hutch seems have more alpha tendencies than Christian, He finds out his wife is cheating, he doesn't go ballistic, he doesn't immediately throw his life away, and most importantly he no longer shows love or affection to his wife. He simply backed off and let the bird fly on it's own. If I were in his situation at my age now(when I was younger I'd have whooped the boss and told the girl she can do whatever we're done, and probably would have ended up in prison for a few years for the assault on the boss). There's no way I'd be bothered by my wife cheating(cheating shows the ultimate form of disrespect and as a man I don't care about others respecting me or not, but you will not disrespect me as my wife while wearing a ring I put on your finger)I'd simply let her do her thing gather evidence for a divorce and move on. He literally got a lifetime contract for his wife's infidelity, while she gets one time payments depending on who she sleeps with. It doesn't seem like it yet because it's been the Vivian show, but Hutch is playing with house money.

On the other hand Christian knows Vivian just slept with some random old dude and he takes her that same night. Christian has more cuck tendencies than Hutch does. He jokes about Hutch having his sloppy seconds, while he literally just slept with her behind that geriatric diddler. Not to mention Hutch had her to himself for 25 years prior to that. Hutch is definitely getting cheated on but he isn't a cuck yet he just passive, which makes me suspect something else is going on in the back of his mind. And after finding out Vivian was loose before meeting Hutch, I wouldn't be surprised going forward we are blindsided by some twist with Hutch. I could just be reading too much into that call but it was strange how Hutch's dialogue is broken like he's doing something else while talking to Vivian.

Your take on the scene is similar to what I took from the scene. It's an extremely powerful scene that pretty much sets up the game going forward. In one scene, we got enough deposition to allow Vivian to understand her urges, her fetishes, her kinks etc etc are not forbidden; everybody has them, and in some cases, people happily act on them and live a normal life. On top of that. She got to experience Anal sex, a woman watching her husband have sex with another and a bit more. Its this scene that completes her fall from Grace or rather allows her to accept what she truly wants. She'd have never gone had love and cuddle sex with Christian or told him she was his without it.

I agree with you in that I don't think that Vivian's primary need is sexual. Maybe that was not clear in my comments. I also don't dispute that she was awkward with Rain and Sunshine. She was awkward with them, but I think she was at the bar looking for validation. When I said that she was looking for love, attention, affirmation, excitement, I was thinking more about validation than sex. Again, that might be my failure to be more clear. Vivian wanted to be picked up. There was a man who walked over to her table. She smiled at him when she thought he was interested, but then he laughed at her, and she became sad. I think Vivian wants to be seen as attractive, and she wants validation. She probably values validation from men she thinks are more dominant than she does from men who she thinks are less dominant (Christian vs Hutch). I think she went home with Sunshine and Rain because they validated her (Sunshine talked her up, was caring, listened to her problems and they both found her attractive). None of this justifies her cheating on Hutch with them. She should go to Hutch for these things, and if she had not betrayed him, she would get this from Hutch. I am not sure if this clarification changes your thoughts on my comments. If not, that is fine. I find your opinions to be very thoughtful and interesting.
