I fully understand that swingers don't care as sexual permiscuaty is part of their life-style, as well as dumping every STD known to man into eachother, one night stands again, no one cares, as men don't take one night stand women serious for a long-term partners so the question is for a girlfriend or wife.

Imagine finding out that your wife was a Vivian, a 304, 608 and all you friends, some family members and a your coworkers, Ruby team mates, bin man, mail delivery guy, maintenance man, a few of the chefs and waiters at your favourite restaurant, infact the whole town had rearranged her insides and blown her back out on multiple occasions, before you came along and your boss is currently along with a few of his clients playing "hide the sausage " with her, all the while, there's you, all this time, walking down the street like a idiot thinking you bagged yourselves a lady, LMAO, would you be able to take humiliation? Would you stand by her with GenZ beta simp excuses like

1: she was exploring her sexuality
2: she was just trying to find herself
3: we all have a past ( expect men don't have to ability to sleep with 304 women unless they are famous and rich)
4: we've all made mistakes
You could ask it the other way.
Would you rather marry an nun or someone that is a little more sexually open? (not over the top open).
I know it is off topic but last few pages already are.

Nuns aren't necessarily closed to sex. There are persistent stories since forever of fooling around among monastic groups. But being willing to leave the nunnery so she can marry me would be a huge commitment on her part. So I would seriously consider it, test out her sexuality a little bit. Does she get aroused whether she agrees to sex before marriage or not? If aroused, does she permit a touch to her breasts, whether she shows them or not? Give her a chance. A confession of feeling it difficult to wait would be a good sign. Certainly you would respect her desire to do that regardless. Your reward would be that the wait adds much to the all night honeymoon experience. If you kiss a frigid woman there is no fooling. No response is quite obvious.

The same as a chance for the recovered sex addict or whatever.

Nuns do leave their order to get married sometimes. If she were a confirmed long term nun, she would not be fooling around with you in the first place. Give her a chance. What have you got to loose, except the love of a good woman?

That is always the question in such situations. What have you got to loose except love? Take a chance. She sure is.

I donno, it feels almost like we could have some intelligent conversation about the moral state of a woman in a porn game, mere image on a computer screen as she (it) is. Can an it have morality? It surprises me, why is this issue so motivating for players here?

For a little perspective, in BaD there is a college girl who fucks around a little more than average (all BaD characters fuck around including the profs) and even gives our hero group crabs (but not our hero). So guys kinda avoid her a little now. But nowhere do I see the triumph and joy of disparaging her among players. They kid about it some. There is a cute scene where the girls are at a picnic table discussing orgasm faces of the guys. The crabby girl proceeds to give the face of all the guys. Because she has seen them, right? The fun goes out of it for the other girls. Not my boyfriend too. Cute, that is why we are here. We like to see stuff like that.

Come on guys, this is pornland. Everybody fucks everybody married or not and normally players like that. We come here to see that. So howcum, yzzit?

NTR? No excuse. This game is deliberately, explicitly about ntr. Didn't you come here to see that?

I forgot to mention, in BaD there is a college girl run prostitution ring. It is kinda bad form for a player to take our hero to the prostitutes. But I have nothing against such people, so in my game our hero went. Regardless, nobody bothers to call them whores. Not once, not at all. If you are really nice, and maybe pay for it the first time, you can get it for free after that. DPC knows what I like.

Because, you see, in a fluid sexual environment like that, it is really kind of a compliment if you are willing to pay for it. Think about that. Things are not always what they seem. I donno. Maybe I am simply a soft hearted very old fucker.
You have a tendency to flip flop in your posts. In some posts you will talk about how terrible it is for people to dislike and criticize Vivian's character, and in other posts you will write that it is basically nothing. Other posters have pointed this out about what you write here. Everyone knows this is story with made up characters and not real people. People are drawn to stories usually because they can relate in some way to the characters, or because they find the characters, or the conflict in the story interesting. This story is about the relationships of the characters to each other, particularly, the conflict between them, but also their inner conflict. People on this forum talk about this game the same way people talk about the movies they watch, the books they read, or any other form of fictional entertainment they consume, and you know this. Most fictional stories have some unrealistic things in them, but if they are any good they will have enough relatable material to draw people in. Even if you can't see yourself in particular characters you can relate to the issues in the story; infidelity, lies, betrayal, financial desperation, fear of losing longstanding important relationships, hubris, insecurities, sadism, lust, love etc. These are the types of things that can evoke a lot of emotion in people, and again you know this. Ultimately it is a piece of entertainment, but it deals with things that people are passionate about. People's differing opinions on how the issues in the story are dealt with, both by the author and by the characters in the story is the source of a lot of the conflict in the comments.

On the back of this I can tell you from personal experience that someone I once knew and was once close to me went through a very similar conversation to what Vivian had with Sunshine. It wasn't word-for-word verbatim, but that scene hammered pretty close to home for me. And while it didn't clear Vivian's actions for me in any way, shape, or form, I understood the conflict the character is feeling

This is a fairer criticism than what happy cat threw at me.

It is both. Uncalled for on the face of it. But with deeper consideration, there is really no reason for it at all. Nothing.

Other posters have pointed this out about what you write here. Everyone knows this is story with made up characters and not real people.
Everybody knows, but it seems that we still get the over the top reactions.

I did give an example of a comparison with BaD earlier where I said that, in that game, everybody fucks everybody including the university professors married or not. There is a college girl run prostitution ring, and one girl in particular starts passing around crabs.

I see there none of the anger and hatred towards certain characters that I see here. It might be that certain players are getting a little to obsessed with Wife for instance. I don't think it hurts to point that out. Not that anything at all will change if I do that, but why not? Why is this topic not fit for discussion?

Great point. I too think that conversation was given as a way of providing context for what Wife is going through, and some understanding of her. As such it is an important part of the game, and shows how SC really views the Wife character. SC does not waste our time with stuff we don't need to know. Cues.

Judging by some of the comments on here, the scene has received a bit of a mixed review. Now I have a conversation with a friend about the scene, about 5 minutes after we both finished playing,g and while I will maintain it a powerful scene, quite possibly the most powerful scene I've ever seen in a game it's a shame it's so diverse and, at laest for me and the way I took it, the meaning lost and landing missed.

What if you wife was a 1-5 girl next door type, or you bagged a 6-10 (Vivian is a 6-10), it’s a given that both clearly are not virgins but sadly by the time you’ve met them early to mid-30's and 40's that she has slept with hundreds of men, I'll say that again, not 1 or 2 guys, not 5 or 9 guys, she has slept with HUNDREDS of other men, and I think for most men, men with self-respect would walk away from that hoe as soon as they realised who she used to be and the amount of men she’s been with.
The situation you describe has no pertinence to this game. Why do you mention it? You want to say that Wife has a history of hundreds of men? I think SC makes it clear that is not the case. Which is part of what makes her behavior right now so strange.

Yes, another good point. SC has provided many clues to what is going on, and most have been missed even though I have done my best to point them out. Many players don't want to hear it, even argue fiercely with me about them.

None of which really matters. What concerns me is what a guy, who stopped by here yesterday, said about how he hopes that SC does not get discouraged by how many of his players have reading level far below his writing level. SC is missing in action and has not provided the monthly progress report he promised. So SC, if you are out there, yes, some us get it and understand what you are doing. Please continue.

I understand that there are little nuances in SCs writing that may have been missed, but it's like somebody pointed out to you yesterday, If you are pointing out things that people are just not seeing, maybe those things just aren't there to be found or at least not confirmed to be missing yet.

Im not in anyway saying you are wrong and you are grasping at straws, after all, the full game has not been released yet, so you may well be proven right yet. But you are banging a drum that may not need to be banged and may have to accept your PoV may indeed be the wrong one

There were several posts about the Sunshine episode and what it could mean for the development of the characters and why the dev could have inserted it here in the days right after the update - in contrast to you explicitely offering different readings and discussing them quite controversially within the framework of the whole game. Didn't you read those? It's just so that other people don't like to repeat themselves so much. You are simply not up to date. The positions are exchanged.

Being proven right is not of interest to me.

I'd say that SC does not waste our time with things we don't need to know, like the Sunshine interaction and like that scene at the end of part 2 where Wife says a number of significant things. And scattered through the program are a number of improbabilities like how wife goes into Boss's bedroom and comences to fuck the night away in the presence of her husband or how SC finds a way for Husband to be present every time Wife gets fucked. SC is not wasting our time. He is too good a writer to not have something in mind.

I think part of the position of many players is that Wife is a complete airhead and nothing but a sex fiend with whomever is handy. Sure that is what a lot of people think. They can be wrong too. I see depth to her. That final scene at the end of part 2 is for me where she starts to emerge from the influence of Boss and claim her mind back. The other part of what many people think is that Boss has no influence over her mind, and she is in complete command of herself. I don't think the story SC has given us supports that at all. My suspicion that the escort experience has changed her. She knows that Boss cannot be trusted although that might not have entered her consciousness yet. Coming.

Another turning point for her will be when Boss insists she stay the night and she knows she cannot do that without loosing Husband. Will she have the strength by then to refuse? The Shadow Knows.

But if he were still here contributing and providing monthly updates, I'd forget about all that and simply enjoy the game. As it is, I don't think it hurts to say my piece.

I'm sure it was discussed. What I see now is no awareness of the significance of Sunshine to understanding Wife. I guess I think Sunshine has significance to the whole game and how players should understand Wife generally regardless of where he presented it to us. Yeh, controversy. I don't think that means that I should shut up any more than my adversaries should.
