Where have I been?
After pushing to release Chapter 2 and then having a lot of negative comments and review bombs I had to step away for a while. I knew people would leave the story over time, I just didn't think they'd make as much noise as they did when they left. However, based on the number of forum pages, I see there is still an active/loyal fan base and I appreciate you guys. But I can't bring myself to look at the reviews or go back and read all of the earlier posts for the sake of my own sanity. I still view this thread as belonging to you guys and I'm just a visitor but I'll participate a bit more and respond to questions and DM's when I can (No I won't tell you when the update is coming out. No I won't give away the plot.)

What have I been doing?
Mostly just working my house, lots of little projects I've neglected lately. I've also been do some writing on another story. It won't ever been rendered or made public but I like the creative process of building out the characters, plotting the story line and world building. I like taking some of those ideas and building test scenes in Daz to get a feel if my vision is possible. That's why a lot of MHB was rendered out of sequence. An idea gets me excited and I flesh out a test scene and next thing I know I'm rendering an entire scene.

What's the status of MHB?
The last couple weeks I've gotten back into the story. I've been going over the outline/script and starting to refine it more and finalizing the dialog. A subtle change in Chapter 1 or 2 can propagate through the story so I'm having to reconcile some things in Ch3 while still moving toward a known finale. I've also been working on doing the setup work for the next few scenes in Daz. Each scene needs the location, environment, characters, wardrobe, and accessories figured out plus a rough setting of cameras and lighting before any final posing and rendering can happen. I kind of like that process but I can easily spend an entire day just doing the setup of one scene. But I'm planning and starting to render this week.

Chapter 3 and beyond
Yes, a good chunk was already rendered but there is still a lot to do. Yes, this still deals a lot more with Hutch and I'm looking forward to tackling a complicated character, trying to convey the emotions welling within him. There are still some sexy scenes but fewer, making it much easier to render (sex scenes are fundamental to the story but they are not fun to make). It's hard to predict the amount of content that'll actually end up in the chapter but I'm guessing Chapter 3 will be about the same size as Chapter 2. I predict 4 will be a little smaller and 5 will be the shortest concentrating on just the finale. I originally had numerous gratuitous scenes that I'm cutting out so I can focus on the meat of the story. I think it makes the main story better and I think it's what the real fans want. Plus it simply cuts down on production time. I'm not trimming anything that drives the story, just the extra fluff.

So there you have it. Thanks for your patience and thanks for the well wishes some of you sent my way. Now it's time to get back to work.

Dude you’re doing a great job; it’s the best game out there. You know that your game is a success when you have everyone fighting with each other on this thread over the characters, especially Vivian, who is the perfect mirror refection of modern -women. Next Chapter, everyone wants to see Vivian with her hair dyed purple and pronoun badge, getting her back blown out by one of her class students and the college twins

Negative reviews aside, just remember you are doing this for yourself and have a specific story to tell. You've just invited us along for the journey. It'll all come together in the end and you'll have an AVN to be proud of.

I dont't know if it helps, but You schould simply take a look at the number of comments for Your VN: I don't see any other Game literaly going through the rooftop this way in such a short time. It's simply amazing, how many psychologists are among us on this site, trying to interpret the story (quite near to some greek myth, Ödipus e. g.). And, as always in a scientific discussion, the sea for everybody gets rough sometimes. But, beeing able to start such a tsunami, You simply should be proud of yourself and keep doing what You're doing!

The story also seemed fine anyway and everything seemed believable if you aren't 12 years old and understand basic psychology, not every human has to behave the way you think they would in every situation, fuck off.

So here is my guess. Since SC says chpt 3 will be where Husband must deal with his complex emotions, if he does not outright murder Boss: then Wife resolves the contradiction within herself about how she can't bear to think about Husband fucking another woman and her own behavior. Boss and Wife then put together a long term relationship with clear boundaries on what they expect from each other (married or not). Boss cannot send her to be raped, must be faithful to her, wife dumps Husband and loves only him.

Wife/Husband reconciliation, while possible, seems a bridge to far. Forgetting Boss and his irresistible attraction for her, magic dick and all? Nope. It does become a lot more likely if Wife & Boss cannot bring together a workable relationship. Wife will have very hard time dealing with that, and then dealing with what it would take for Husband to forgive her. Hard times. But maybe.

The unknowable dark ending for Wife: both options fail. No husband, no Boss. I weep for you Wife if it comes to that.

Take that up with sc. It might be that the sex might not be so important to what SC wants to say. So far, compared to most games, there really have not been many scenes. The only complete one I remember is where Wife gets fucked in the ass by Rain. That and where Boss fucks her in her driveway.

Certainly not. Especially here in pornland. I have argued that we simply cannot bring normal real life expectations to a dark fantasy porn game, believable or not. In the end, rl expectation might not be the important issue for players though. The important thing might be the wishes players bring to what might happen, or the hope that political convictions (for some) will be validated.

This technically is not a game. it is a mystery novel with porn sex used as character climax and plot suggestions. This in my opinion is done perfectly so far. The Dev has made it clear to what content will be primary to each chapter. Do I think he will continue to use sex a draw into the plot YES... but it is to support the story not be the primary focus . Don't be confused that sex is primary piece of the puzzle here...

Yes... the sex is not bad either... but it drives us to pick a character and pull for them. I myself am pulling for Hutch to get a plan together... If that involves Vivian or not , I pull for him as the underdog. Again, It is like a good book !

I don't think there is another pirate site that compares. Most pirate sites are into spreading viruses, infected files, etc. This site is safe and clean for users. Most of the time when a new porn game shows up on Steam, I can also find it here. Steam will allow devs to give their stuff away for free, but I am not sure that it is free for the dev's. Steam wants its pound of flesh. It does sound like SC is willing to continue the f95 arrangement. The fear was he would not be.

Bombardment of entitlement indeed. For instance, any time a game gets a fair amount of discussion going, including on patreon, people start asking for female degredation, corruption, etc. One time a certain patreon member asked if there would be any of that ikky romance stuff. The dev stepped right up and said, I suggest you try another game, my games always contain romance. I was impressed that he gave an honest response. That was Boundaries of Morality by the way. Also available on f95. Right now it is looking like one of the best.

I also think that if you found another usable pirate sight that the discussions would not be any better than here. That has certainly not been my experience. These are about typical, normal, not bad. There are worse, but I would not expect to find better.
