I don't necessarily disagree with what you say here - it's the concrete application where we differ. You say "over time" - and that's exactly my point, that's what I meant when I said there are abusive actions but not an abusive relationship, which needs this time. You bring military drill and cults as examples - the show exactly that: an environment, isolation, no opportunity to leave and force over an extended period of time. Nothing of that here. We are talking about how many hours they spent with each other? Also she is an almost 50 years old teacher, who shows a very tough behavior towards her husband.
Addiction - yes of course that takes your agency away but I'm against the application of this analogy in Vivian's case. She is no addict (and you didn't make this analogy up to now I think). We agree on what you say at the end - at the moment she has agency.
Hey 45 is not almost 50! I don't really get the discussion here. 1 thinks about the future while the other about the present but you agree.

Good points. This woman is capable of being decisive and incisive. But not right now. It is true that people can get worn down by abuse. I don't see that happening right now. Maybe the next time he sends her to be raped. That will be a decisive moment for her. Does she say fuck this, I'm out of here, or does she capitulate?

I actually think we agree for the most part. I look at the situation with Vivian as greatly accelerated due to the confines of story. I think I mentioned that in a previous post where I talked her being abused. Things are happening much faster in this story than they normally would.

Good point. Not only are unbelievable things happening, but happening unbelievably fast.

She’s already cucking hutchy, you want her to Cuck her son now too? look I want to see the twins spitroast or dp her as much as the next guy, but not in front of Sawyer, I’m sure he would still hear about it without seeing it anyway
No, consistency requires that son be in the next room listening, and Husband watching through the window. Because this is pure fantasyland designed to make porn dogs happy. It doesn't seem to me though that is a priority for SC. Even though he does provide some of it. Only enough to get attention, I think.

Funny thing about marriage vows. To have and to hold, forsaking all others. It does sound like a promise of sexual faithfulness, but really you can't promise that you will remain wanting to have sex with this person for the rest of your life. Moral imperatives notwithstanding. It might be that your marriage is successful and you never tire of each other, and if things get a little slow, both of you working together can revive it, if you both really want that.

But if one of you does not feel that way anymore, no amount of morality can force that upon you. At least not in recent decades. Humans are entitled to decent sex if nothing else, at least that much. So Wife, you go girl. But you know, you really need to get your head on straight about it. You can't stand the thought of Husband fucking another woman? You do understand how crazy that is, don't you?

What are humans entitled to?
Not good health
Not decent job
Not freedom from political persecution

I say, at least let them have decent sex. As long as they are able to have that much.
