Replayed the game a few times. The writing in general is great, but for some reason the last scene when they are talking in their home, just felt flat. It defies logic and so I still don't feel it.
I think they could have been more honest with each other (especially Vi) and still end up having the same outcome. As it is now, it just makes Hutch portrayed more like an idiotic tool than a betrayed defeated husband.
I get where you're coming from. But some remarks :
- Even if Vivan is not confessing, there's no doubt than from now on, for both of them, the truth is out there. They may not name it plainly, they use twisted words to talk about it, but everybody knows what this is all about.
- Vivian is under Christian's influence and followed his advice, she won't openly recognize what she has done until Hutch will.
- For the betrayed and defeated thing, he has witnesed just hours ago his wife saying Christian was better than him at sex and it's no use to fight a losing battle.
BUT
Even knowing that, from a realistic POV, it's hard to understand that Hutch didn't confront Vivian and not why he didn't at least asked why did she do that. Maybe it's because acknowledging it would be the end, because it will reveal in front of them, and only them, the magnitude of her betrayal. Bc , like Chrsitian said, he woudl never give up on the stability of his marriage. Or maybe bc he loves her so much he's ready to let her do what she wants, idk. Or a narration astuce from the dev to adress these points later. In all these instances, what he says ("The company grows, the boss is happy, people make more money, maybe you get something out of it for yourself.") doesnt't make any sense.
P.S : There''s another explanation i can think of : Hutch seeks revenge and needs time to follow through a plan of his own. But it's pure speculation.
Was there a v0.1 before v0.2, or is v0.2 the first version of the game?
If there was a v0.1, how long was the time gap between v0.1 and v0.2?
The first release was 0.2. The dev gave an indication of 4 monts between updates.
