That is a very narrow view of sexual relations. Lovers give each other money and it has nothing to do with sex. Same thing for employers. They pay even though they might be in a sexual relationship with the employee. How would it go if the employer said, I can't pay you any more because then you would feel like a whore. No she would not.

I think the talk with Sunshine is key to the whole thing. She said that women tend to want a gentle, kind, loving husband. But from a sexual partner they tend to want a demanding, strong even rough partner. The bad news, is that women mostly cannot have both.

Again, this is dealing in generalities, and it might be that Sunshine said that to wife because she perceived that, for wife, this would be true.


Continuing to think about this, I think the wife/boss conversation before the last part 2 scene is important. Boss asks, how did you feel after the sex with whozit? She said, I felt empowered, free. He could not break me, *you* cannot break me.

Boss asks, so what do you want from me now? Wife says, I want you to be gentle and loving with me. Boss asks, you don't like the way I do it? Wife says, I do, but this time I want you to be gentle.

Because there can be sex without love. But if a person wants to feel loved in sex, there is no faking it. That is why she seemed so happy after her tremendous climax, and his demand that she admit that she belonged to him. As I have been told by various dev's in similar situations, that is not the story I want to tell.

Why didn't she talk with him? Not tallking happens all the time irl. There is therapy for couples who want to fix things. Dev says, end of story. Nobody will want to play this game if that is what happens.

Why didn't she divorce husband? Because she loves him, wants to find a way to make the situation work. Maybe it won't. That is what we will find out in chapter 3. It might be he doesn't want to get divorced either. Your cookie cutter solution will often not work for many people.

There is nothing wrong with wanting sexual satisfaction. It is everybody's right.

And wife is neither a whore nor despicable. So says Sunshine. She should accept herself and seek happiness, which is what she has done. We have no better sc voice on the subject of wife than Sunshine.

me in my posts I read accurately what the story is telling us and I notice from the first lines of every book/movie/movie I read the kind of story the author wants to tell...
in fact I never talk about choices... to me games that propose choices never interest me!
I only ever play the main path that opens up as many scenes as possible
I only follow the path that I think is the main one

in this case we have a game with no choices (up to now)... this fact made me put My Husband's Boss at the top of my favorite games... and as you can see I also predicted part of how Vivian's work as her husband's boss consultant will continue...

so the only possibility that Huch isn't really there is that Vivian is imagining that she is being watched by her husband...this also opens up the possibility that she is mentally ill and hallucinating.... but sorry if at the moment even though I have a big fantasy in predicting the future of the story...I prefer to stick with the fact that Htch somehow got to watch them through the window.....it could also be that Hutch and Chris live in the same area and their townhouses are adjacent

Is there a main character and who is it? Vivian the center of the story for sure. Everything essentially revolves around her and creates the scenarios the others respond to. But I don't thinks she's really all that interesting, to be honest. Her motivates, while leading to sexy adventures, are not that complicated. To say that Hutch is more interesting (but maybe not the main character), might be a better way to describe him. Vivian gets her inner monologue as a short cut. Some things are to complicated to express in still renders or would require more extensive blocks of dialogue that would turn off the viewer. While I don't 'identify myself as the main male protagonist' in these games, as a guy I still empathize with them. I guess my goal is to have the viewer (nearly all men) to have some connection to him. I don't want to give him an inner monologue because I hope that the reader will do that for themselves. To deduce his mindset from his actions/reactions. Or to just let it be a mystery. I'm not educated in story telling. Maybe this is a flawed idea.

I believe with each release you will say to yourself "Damn! I didn't see that coming" but also see that it fits the story. And that includes the ending.

I just played Chapter 2 and I have mixed emotions. On the one hand, I found the evening with the couple (Sunshine and Rain) terribly long and boring. However, the scenes with Christian are even stronger than in Chapter 1, in my opinion. Obviously, the narrative force is there, hence the game's title. But I think it's been masterfully handled. That's why I don't quite understand the whole point of the evening with the couple. I understand what the developer wants to convey with it, but I don't understand why they do it that way. They had other ways of conveying what we already know: that Vivian just needs an excuse to let go. That she's actually sexually repressed, or has been for many years. And in fact, that's told much better later, with the scene at Christian's house when she admits what really happened at the hotel.

But don't get me wrong. I loved this second chapter. Maybe I liked it more than the first, even. It's just that the whole arc with the couple seemed very redundant and boring to me.
