According to what we have seen of Hutch so far, and the way Vivian sees him (and don't forget that she is supposed to know him much better than us after 22 years of marriage) I'm doubtful something like that will happen... But we'll see...He is going to have to take her at some point ... just like Christian did. Just my thought...
Risky theory: Christian is just Hutch without having been married and with more luck in life.According to what we have seen of Hutch so far, and the way Vivian sees him (and don't forget that she is supposed to know him much better than us after 22 years of marriage) I'm doubtful something like that will happen... I am hoping for mid / late sept.

Not so sure. Christian was given more in one day than Hutch has received from Vivian in 25 years. Both in sex and in honesty. In my humble opinion of course.Risky theory: Christian is just Hutch without having been married and with more luck in life.
Christian is the opposite, he is the "wild and dangerous", but Vivian asks him to be gentle because that's what she needs at that moment. Maybe that's a test in itself, to see if one person can be both of those things as required. Perhaps she could try that with Hutch?TonyMurray
Yes... I agree . We need to see what is going to happen to Hutch in chapter 3 . How will he develope. Revenge at Christian, Revenge to Vivian, or make plans ? All is up in the air at this point. Fact is Vivian already has an opinion of Hutch and it is not as a demanding , adventurious sex god. She does see him a a lover... She needs him to be that tender guy she can cuddle up to. And,,, He is. She did mention he "WAS" a tiger once when she wore a sexy nightgown. So, We see he can be that side for her ... but mentally she is not there yet.
Iagree... I think she asked that of him ( Christian ) to see if he had the tender side like Hutch... But I think she still views christian as just sex...... she still loves her husband.Christian is the opposite, he is the "wild and dangerous", but Vivian asks him to be gentle because that's what she needs at that moment. (No, I don't think so either, but it's another possibility...)
like Tyler Durden, Marla and narrator (Edward Norton)Christian is the opposite, he is the "wild and dangerous", but Vivian asks him to be gentle because that's what she needs at that moment. I think any test there would have been more a test of Christian - can he be tender like Hutch, as you say. I still don't think she meant to find that out because she's gearing up to leave Hutch for Christian (and if she were to do that, she might find that she's not desired by Christian anymore anyway...). Perhaps though, if things do go south and Hutch ends it (as per her nightmare), she'll know from her test that Christian could be someone she turns to full time. I think that's getting way ahead of where we are at the moment though, at least untill we get some Ch3 info.Iagree... I think she asked that of him ( Christian ) to see if he had the tender side like Hutch... But I think she still views christian as just sex...... she still loves her husband.
I will add that Vivian's "conservative" behavior in the bedroom didn't help him with his insecurities.I may be totally wrong, but I see more Hutch as the lucky guy knowing he married a girl at least 2 leagues above him. And I think his insecurities and his "submissiveness" in the couple come from that.
(Well we know that in real life, wives have always the lead in a couple, especially married.)
I phrased it deliberately in such a way as food for thought. And because I see in the forum a very persistent tendency to view humans as fixed characters from birth as opposed to what decades of lifestyle, job and living together with such a person as Vivian is make of you.Not so sure. Christian was given more in one day than Hutch has received from Vivian in 25 years. Both in sex and in honesty. In my humble opinion of course.
And here we have the opposite position - the whole concept of women being in different leagues is imo a dangerous and self-depreciating one. It's a mind virus which could well be in Hutche's head as well... Although I don't think he went into the relationship with that mindset, I think it's a matter of being exhausted and depressed and conditioned over time.I may be totally wrong, but I see more Hutch as the lucky guy knowing he married a girl at least 2 leagues above him. I genuinely don't see how anybody can think she still "loves" her husband, after all the shit that's happened...That's crazy. She's done him soooooooo fucking dirty, repeatedly, this entire story. And then even tried to blame him for it, at the bar with Sunshine...No fucking way is she in love with him. You don't put the people you love, through the shit that she's now doing.Iagree... I think she asked that of him ( Christian ) to see if he had the tender side like Hutch... But I think she still views christian as just sex...... she still loves her husband.
hutch goes on busines trip.. she takes off ring.. goes to bar.. says both men in her life are gone. takes it in butt from a stranger and dykes out .. then gets smashed by a client.. then right after gets smashes again by christian after screaming at hutch.. if thats love sign me up buddy im ready !!!!!!!!!!!!!Iagree... I think she asked that of him ( Christian ) to see if he had the tender side like Hutch... But I think she still views christian as just sex...... she still loves her husband.
She yelled at Hutch after the Rape... All she could see is Red for Christian at that point. THen she gets with Christian and he not only is able to change her whole demeanor but then Fucks her twice.... She either she is VERY VERY easily manipulated Or she is just crazy confused by it All. I am going out on a limb to say she is not in love with Christian... Just me I think she has something going on to say she belongs to him now. Maybe the 3rd chapter will help with that.hutch goes on busines trip.. she takes off ring.. goes to bar.. says both men in her life are gone. takes it in butt from a stranger and dykes out .. then gets smashed by a client.. then right after gets smashes again by christian after screaming at hutch.. if thats love sign me up buddy im ready !!!!!!!!!!!!!
It also makes the, "league" a person is in, all about their looks. It is true that a lot of people think that way, especially in the west, but people can bring more to the table than that. Just because a person is physically attractive doesn't make them marriage or even serious relationship material. There are physically attractive people with repulsive personalities and less physically attractive people with great personalities. Looks fade over time, and if that is all the marriage was about, Hutch and Vivian didn't have much to begin with.I think there was more to it than that. I think in Hutch and Vivian's case, things went beyond just looks. I realize this is a porn game site and everything is about how pretty the models are, but in the case of decades of marriage people should have built something together that is based on more than looks. Vivian looks good at 45, but in 5 or 10 years her looks could go down hill a lot. Christian might not want Vivian at all in a few years if her looks fade.I phrased it deliberately in such a way as food for thought. And because I see in the forum a very persistent tendency to view humans as fixed characters from birth as opposed to what decades of lifestyle, job and living together with such a person as Vivian is make of you.

Hutch knows she loves the wine, he just doesn't know the story behind it. The simplest answer - Hutch told CHris that Vi likes the wine. End of storyP.S: By the way, how Christian knows about the special wine if, according to her, Hutch doesn't know this detail? Maybe Hutch knows better her wife than she believes herself.
The simple answer to it (although it could just have been coincidence, that might seem a bit much). The question is why would Hutch have given Christian that bit of information? It's not as if he'd (voluntarily) be doing something to help Christian's relationship with Vivian, from what we've seen so far. Christian forcing it out of him somehow? Or would he just have asked and Hutch not think it's a big/important enough detail to hold it back? The first step in a "show my wife a good time" mentality?Hutch knows she loves the wine, he just doesn't know the story behind it. The simplest answer - Hutch told CHris that Vi likes the wine. End of story
