Just compare youre sentence: "I trust him to not abuse my sensibilities with gratuitous corruption of women" (combined with the fact that you make your further watching conditional on that)
Read more carefully. I did not say that. But many others have. Explicitly.
with what we have allread here: "Vivian is a hoe and I don't like that". You want your sensibilities respected by the author or else you would feel abused by him, the others state their disappointment with a character.
An equal comparison would be to those who seem to want to force their perception on me that "Wife is a whore". Except that I choose to not read it that way. I choose to respond with why I don't think so, and if you read carefully you might notice that it has nothing to do with my sensibilities. I know what a whore is and I have a sense of how they deserve to be treated, as for instance, the poet ee cummings describes. Go read him. But Wife is not a whore, so I will say every time you read me on that particular issue. And women do not become whores because they love sex. I say, most women do, but are a little more careful than men about whom they do it with. More of my opinions gained after living longer than the law allows.
It is true that we have had a sort of combat here over the whore issue. Fair enough I say, as long as I can have my say too.
I would admit that Wife finds herself with an urge towards promiscuity that she did not feel before part 2. So far she has not acted upon that. I bet she will not. I suspect she thinks her life is already way too complicated, since she is an intelligent woman who does have the sense to talk to Sunshine about how she feels about herself and what she is doing right now.
Even so, I don't have anything against promiscuity. It is simply how some people, men and women, are without being whores or gigilos.
